MF Day #41: Chilbo
If I had to make a pick for the most underrated Mixel in the whole lineup, it would hands down be Chilbo. I don’t know why, but this is the one Mixel that stuck with me the most throughout all the years I’ve been a fan of the series.
Once again he has a design that perfectly captures his know-it-all personality, it’s simpler compared to most of the other mixels, but all of the details within work together to create this perfect design. He has a bluetiful use of the Frosticon color scheme, a cute sloth-like appearance, that defining icy brain, a cool pair of clawed hands, and of course those wonderful eyebrows! Some of his features even inspired my earliest creation of my sona, it was that impactful to me.
And out of all the Mixels characters with missed potential, Chilbo’s felt the most tragic. Despite having a fair amount of screentime in the QFTLM special, he barely had any lines of dialogue, which feels bizarre given how he’s said to be a very talkative character. That’s not to mention the fun three-way dynamic of all three Frosticon Cousins we could’ve had, with Chilbo being the intelligent straight man having to deal with the incompetence of his fellow frosty brothermen. But from what we got, the focus was mainly put on Snoof and Krog, while Chilbo felt left out.
A greatly wasted opportunity in my opinion…oh well, at least there’s the unlimited power of fan-made content that could deliver on what could’ve been.

Dribbal:
1.He loves to play basketball and has his own basketball court outside his house.
2. He takes his glasses in to be regularly cleaned. He can’t tell the difference between a beetle and a mixed without them!
3. A massive historian and enjoys studying in his spare time.
4. He’s raised his own butterflies from caterpillars!
5. He has his own vegetable garden in his backyard.
Chilbo:
1. He is a huge bookworm and constantly reads every day after work.
2. Snowboarding is one of his personal favorite hobbies!
3. He is a master at snowball fights!!
4. He often hangs out with the other Frosticons for hot chocolate nights.
5. His favorite movie is The Polar Express.
Both:
1. Comic books are their favorite genre!
2. They’re both 16, but their birthdays are different.
3. They have separate phones just for talking with each other.
4. Some of their favorite hobbies are playing sports with each other and their friends.
5. Bug hunting is another fave hobby of theirs!

How to take care of Chilbo's!
Chilbo's are one of the smartest mixels which you might think make their care easier but it's actually quite the opposite. Because Chilbo's are so intelligent they moreso treat you like a roommate than a owner so they don't really listen.
Chilbo's also require quite the set up with a small air conditioner to keep the air cool or else their icey brains might melt. They also require a small lab so that they can get enrichment from building new inventions or studying. I reccomended getting a doll house that they can turn into a lab.
Chilbo's have a bad habit of taking random appliances apart for their inventions and it's rather hard to make your Chilbo unlearn this behavior. I recommend getting random remotes or small appliances from either the dollar store or thrift store.
Chilbo's are mixels that usually like to be alone so if you have to get another mixel get a frosticon as Chilbo's don't cohabitate with each other well. They usually end up fighting over research.
So to sum it up. Taking care of Chilbo's are harder than it looks.

MF Day #38: Snoof
The Frosticon cousins are a big step up from the original Frosticons in my opinion. They just have more fun and creative designs, and their personalities allow them to bounce off each other greatly and could lead to some funny moments(sorta similar to the classic SpongeBob, Patrick, and Squidward dynamic).
Snoof manage to be one of the few lucky mixels to get the deluxe treatment of screentime in the show, and as far as Mixels characters go, he’s a pretty good one. I really like what they were going for with his design, being a childlike living sled that a could slip and slide around the land without ever having the need to stop. And I think that fits well with his personality, always curious and excited to see what goes on outside of his home and wanting to do more with his life.
Admittedly, Snoof’s obsession for the key, the title of “The Chosen One”, and the treasure that it holds is a little on the nose. In fact, I think this could serve as a great contrasting parallel to Gox and his upright intentions for using the key to save his company. However, there is the benefit of the doubt of Snoof being portrayed as being young and childlike, and children will naturally act like this if they are given a large amount of responsibility and destiny views. And if that’s the case, I think that would make Snoof’s moments of greed and selfishness a bit easier to swallow.
