Negaverse Quackerjack? It’s more likely than you think

Day 1 - Negaverse

late but finally here it is. I don't like the character scaling and as you can see Bushroot didn't fit me so apologies to all Bushroot fans. 

My version of the Liquidator in the Negaverse. I figured since the water in the Negaverse is so polluted, then NegaLiquidator would be kinda muddy too.

Personality wise, my version of NegaLiquidator is more quiet and withdrawn, and he really doesn't like to talk a lot.

Please note, I'm not knocking off or discouraging people from doing redesigns. I actually do like seeing some myself. This is just a theory of why I think they didn't redesign the Friendly Four when they made the episode Life, the Negaverse and Everything, which by the way, is my absolute favorite episode. So don't let my opinion discourage you or anything from being creative. These are just my thoughts.

A side from possible laziness since we were just going to see these guys once, I feel like part of it is because their designs are a little complex compared to most of the Nega counterparts . Like with the other Nega-designs, it's really easy to think of the opposite looks for them. Just make Nega Gos super girly, turn the Muddlefoots and Launchpad into a biker gang, turn NegaTank into Honker pretty much and it's pretty standard. Bottomline, they're easy to think of evil looks. I mean Negaduck himself is just Darkwing Duck recolored when you really get down to it.

With the Fearsome Four they have pretty complex designs that's kinda hard to think of what would be the opposite especially for one episode and to be fair, their designs already are pretty neutral. Their designs could work as villains and heroes. Their designs use bright colors but aren't too light either. They don't look completely evil but they don't look saintly either. QJ just looks like a stuffed animal himself, Megavolt wears a lot of light colors. Bushroot is a flower thanks to his hair and Liquidator is just water. Kinda like how Darkwing's Justice Ducks could possibly and have been villains, with exception of Gizmo Duck and Stegmutt is just too cute looking to be evil.

This makes sense because we know for the fact the rest of the Fearsome Four do have moments where they can be good. Bushroot is already more sweet and shy, he barely counts as a villain sometimes and he as well as Quackerjack and Megavolt, have helped Darkwing in saving the day in at least one or more episodes. Liquidator, well he only had his debut episode but even he is just greedy. He's not shown to go out of his way to hurt people. Just get a quick buck. I mean he did poison water especially during a rough time but it's kinda hard to judge because we don't see it actively hurting others.

I kinda like to think in terms of how this universe works is that the Friendly Four are left unchange because their counterparts have at least shown good and even helped save the day a couple times. The Fearsome Four's reasons for being evil are more personal as they feel their way of doing things is the only way to reach their goals. While in Negaduck you don't feel remorse at all. He is like Darkwing just evil. His goal is just destruction for the sake of it with the glory of being the baddest villain in both universes. You can argue that Megavolt is like this as well because he too is the most violent, same with Quackerjack but I feel this is because they're insane and not just simply because they are evil for the sake of it.

Everyone else in Darkwing's World is very much strictly on one side with Gos being sorta the exception. She's mischievous and is rough but is still kind and wants to be a hero, which is probably why her Nega counterpart is still good, just a bit girly. I guess you can say Gos is somewhat Neutral Good, while the Fearsome Four are Neutral Evil, which is why they are exceptions to the rules of the Negaverse with the Friendly Four not having their own Negaverse designs and Gos still being good in the Negaverse.

I like to think so is Neptunia and Morgana since they were once villains but not anymore so it's possible, their Nega counterparts would fall into the exception of the strict rules, with Nega-Neptunia being possibly like NegaGos and being sweeter and even gentle and Morgana's design possibly not having that much of a change.

Anyway, that's my two cents of why the Friendly Four don't have their own designs in the Negaverse and even why NegaGos is still good in the Negaverse. Feel free to leave thoughts in reblogs or messages.

Tech's Fan Theories: NegaQuackerjack

Just some headcanon's about everyone's favorite AU jester from the Negaverse!

While NegaMegavolt is the leader, NegaQuackerjack does take over as leader sometimes and is second in command. This idea comes for the fact when regular QJ takes over the Fearsome Four in the comics as leader. I feel like despite being crazy and childish, NQJ can be a good leader as he knows when to be serious and take command. Sorta like Usagi aka Sailor Moon can be a bit childish and whiny but will always pull through in the end.

As a parent he's in charge of exercise and making stuff for NegaGos and Tank. They also know not to come to NQJ for homework. He knows some science and measurements but uh...they're better off asking someone else! XD

NegaClaire is a villain in the Negaverse and she and NegaQuackerjack have sorta a "CatwomanXBatman" esc relationship. He knows there's good in her and occasionally lets her go from time to time, depending on how bad the crime involving her is. NegaClaire wants to be good and does care and even love NQJ, but is too caught up in not only having the thrill of stealing but the desire of revenge (what she wants revenge for, I have no clue yet but I like to think Quackerworks company has something to do with it).

NegaQuackerjack wants to save her someday but knows he can't make that promise if she goes too far and must stop her at all costs especially if lives are at stake.

If you hurt kids around him, you have decided to make NQJ your worst enemy. He will not forgive anyone for this.

Speaking of which, NegaClaire will not ever hurt a child. Even if it's to gain what she wants, she will use other methods and will not stoop as low as using a child for a scheme. This is not just for NQJ's sake but is actually against her own morals. She even goes out of her way to rescue a kid if she realizes where they are located and many times rescues kidnapped women. This is why she will never work for Negaduck, even if it kills her.

Does NQJ have Mr.BananaBrain? I kinda thinks so but he knows it doesn't talk. He just makes it talk to Gos and occasionally Tank even though he gets annoyed of it. NQJ will talk to it if he's alone working on something.

NegaPaddywack I picture to be a gentle entity of laughter and children. He was accidentally unlocked by a villain (probably Negaduck) and possessed Mr.Bananabrain. At first the others think NQJ lost it big time until he physically shows himself. After fending off Negaduck and setting NP completely free by destroying the Jack in the Box he was still bonded too, he occasionally telepathically communicates to NQJ to warn him and the others of any danger. Kinda giving NQJ somewhat a power or otherworldly bond at least.

NQJ knows magic or at least some of it. He just doesn't practice it because he knows that's a bad idea. The others are skeptical of the subject.

Friendly Four Redesing

Hey guys! Everything is fine? I hope so! Well, today I wanted to share some of my ideas about the Darkwing Duck universe, some universe concepts I made with my dear friend @anniesilveratl2room and also show my version of the amazing (and extremely underexplored...TnT) Negaverse. Don't get me wrong, I love the episode that this alternate reality is presented in and I love the concept, but... I don't know.. That dimension is kind of vague to me. The fact that their opposites are realities is an amazing idea, so much so that I love the concept of Scourge and Moebius from the Sonic comics (Ian Flynn, I love you for making this idea better explored), but my friend and I wanted to work with something different. Here, in OUR version of the Negaverse, it will not be a reality of "opposites", here it will be a "mirror" reality. I know that many people will say that it is "the same thing", but not in our conception. Personality doesn't change here, MORALS and CHOICES change!

That is, a different choice that the characters made would drastically change an event or something else important. Another note: Annie and I considered what we were shown in the 2017 Ducktales and also OUR alternate universe, so in addition to being different from the original series, it will also have necessary changes. That said... Now it's time to show off the designers I made for our universe's Friendly, all credit for redesigning the Fearsome Four from the original reality goes to my friend Annie (praise her please!).

Let's start in order and the first one I want to show you is Nega Bushroot.

This, in fact, was one of the things I most procrastinated to do with Liquidator, not because it was difficult, but because it was VERY SIMPLE! I wanted something in the design that would set him apart from the original but still resemble him, but just changing his hair color wasn't enough for me. So I wanted to give him a more "aggressive" look, with the hair here being more spiky instead of the fluffy one in the original, I put vines with thorns on his arms (which I will LOVE to explain their concept later on) and... I gave him a scarf for his neck because I wanted an extra change (this one I was in doubt about wearing because Nega Dator already had one, but I put one with a different style).

Next member of the Friendly Four: Megavolt. This is one of the ones that I liked playing with the concept the most and you should already know that it was the inspiration... Static Shocker! I just LOVE this drawing, seriously! But then again... I wanted to do something new but leave the essence of the original, so I left details like the battery on the back, the color palette but being inverted and also the electricity theme. This is one of the ones I liked the most and found it fun to do.

Now Quackerjack and, man... This one was difficult to make the costume, again following the concept and such... But the most difficult thing was the details of the costume, I wanted to still give the clown look, but keeping the color palette, so I researched clown clothes on the internet and went by instinct. Maybe I overdid the elements, but I liked the end result.

And lastly (and my favorite Fearsome/Friendly), Liquidator! This one was actually the easiest... But still I procrastinated just because of the painting. Because drawing water is boring and annoying! But in terms of "outfit" design it was simple, I gave him a scarf and gave him bands on his hands (again one that I really want to show how it would look when he changes hands on any weapon). I wanted to give him an aspect of a fighter and give that air of a relaxed person, because I saw a lot of people who would consider the Nega Liquidator version to be "fearful" or someone more "passive", but I prefer to believe that he would not be like that, but that he would be just someone sentimental and who is someone who protects his family both emotionally and physically, but that's a story for another day.

Absolutely love the idea that it was April who got the boys super into snow days.

Like, pre-April, they probably would view the days as miserable, since as turtles they’re likely more susceptible to the cold and back then they probably had much less to keep warm with.

The cold altogether was just never good to them - and then April comes around and teaches them how to make a snowman. And when it’s done, she pelts them with snowballs. And suddenly, the cold is now fun, and they might still be shivering, but now they’re smiling too.
