"What was my point? I have lost my train of thought."
This sums up every Matthew Goode interview I have ever seen, so excited and passionate and a brain going at 100mph that he goes into rabbit holes and loses his thread. I love it!
This access interview (sadly not up yet) was utterly brilliant. Goofy, charming, hilarious, adorkable.
My favourite bit was when Matthew went into Bob Evans mode at the request of the hosts who clearly adore him. I squealed, laughed & cried such is my love for Bob. He said he met with Nikki Toscano and there are talks of him reprising his role (he used the word 'might'). How amazing is that!? I am over the moon 🥳
In case you are wondering, the bit where Matthew is running, that's him with his puppy Maggie, which he lived with in a hotel room while filming Leap Year. His wife and him had just had a baby but Sophie gave up trying to stay with Matthew and the pup and the baby in a small hotel room after 2 weeks and left him to it with Maggie. Matthew was forever apologising for the dog's mess and handing over cash to the hotel staff to make up for it. Very funny. [He did talk about this in the Ellen Degeneres interview).

Another Gold Derby interview, this time directly with Matthew Goode.
“Goode is effusive with praise for his elder statesman co-star, who he reveals is truly a joy to be around on set. “He’s a cinematic icon and I’m just completely in love with him,” he smiles. “He has become a friend and mentor since we worked together. But I was quite scared, not only of working with him, but also working with a man who’d already played C.S. Lewis in a film I already loved, ‘Shadowlands,’ so it was like double jeopardy for me. He was so generous, so kind. He’s of a certain age but you wouldn’t know it, because he’s full of beans and full of energy. I had him to myself for three weeks, just me and him. I’m full of admiration and it was a joy to watch him do Freud. There’s some moments that are terribly moving in it, but he also brought a lot of levity to it that I wasn’t necessarily expecting as well.”

Professor Lewis is doing a goode swagger through the library. Never have books been more appealing (and I LOVE books).
I think next time just make a film of the hot Prof swaggering in libraries in a green suit and examining manuscripts with his piercing green eyes. I would so be there for it. Who needs Freud, he is over-rated.
Also, I am sure I have seen this thinking hand gesture somewhere? 🤔

Oh yeah, Finn. It must be a goode quirk 😆

... and that's ANOTHER interesting story...
Matthew Goode hilariously trying to keep on topic at a 'Freud's Last Session' Q & A. Endlessly entertaining.

🎁🎄❄️ Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 🥂 to all of you! 😊
Matthew: Once again it’s been a total delight to edit this last video of the year. Thanks for keeping us all entertained throughout 2022!
My year started by going to the cinema to watch The King’s Man, followed by the release of the final season of A Discovery of Witches. The Duke premiered in the UK in February and of course 2022 was largely dominated by The Offer. Superb performance from start to finish and the Press Tour was just 🤌🏻. Thank you for giving us your fantastic portrayal of the legendary Bob Evans. The autumn release of Medieval (shot 4 years ago) brought 2022 to its conclusion. However we do have Freud’s Last Session to look forward to next year: starring Sir Anthony Hopkins as Freud with Matthew taking on the role of C.S. Lewis.💥
My personal highlight is of course getting my question about The Offer answered LIVE by Goodey. 🥰
Best Wishes & see you all next year!
