A fabulous custom made cabinet for displaying a fine 18th Century Porcelain service. In Europe at this time, hand painted porcelain from the Far East was highly prized and sought after as only Japan and China had the secret recipe for hard paste porcelain that was so resilient to temperature. The table ware sets were often made to order with the family coat of arms. The fascination for all things Japanese and Chinese has endured through the centuries and continues to this day.

Pas n'importe quel bleu - l'outremer vif qui illumine chaque pièce de sa maison londonienne a captivé les artistes pendant des siècles. Les peintres de la Renaissance ont laborieusement broyé le lapis-lazuli pour obtenir un pigment si précieux qu'ils le réservaient aux robes de la Madone. Dans les années 1950, l'artiste français Yves Klein a trouvé un moyen de conserver l'intensité de cette teinte en la mélangeant à une résine synthétique, et a baptisé son invention International Klein Blue (IKB). L'année dernière, M. Amato a présenté sa propre version, le bleu Icon, dans le cadre d'une palette de couleurs emblématique de la marque d'éclairage de luxe The Urban Electric Co. dont il est le directeur de la création depuis près de deux décennies.
