Kelsey Rowlings es una piloto de fórmula drift que ha logrado destacarse en un deporte dominado principalmente por hombres. Originaria de California, Rowlings descubrió su pasión por la velocidad desde muy joven y decidió dedicarse a las carreras de automovilismo.
Nacida el 28 de marzo de 1989, Kelsey Rowlings siempre ha llevado un estilo de vida muy activo. Cuando era joven, compitió en múltiples deportes, incluidos natación, atletismo y equitación. También era una música dedicada y completa, que tocaba múltiples instrumentos.
En 2007, Kelsey se graduó de la escuela secundaria y recibió una beca para estudiar interpretación de fagot en la Universidad de Florida. Casi al mismo tiempo, descubrió el drifting e inmediatamente se sintió atraída por los deportes de motor.
Rowlings y su equipo construyeron un nuevo S14, propulsado por un motor Ford 5.0 Aluminator sobrealimentado, para la temporada 2016 y que actualmente sigue siendo el mismo auto con el cual compite.
A lo largo de su carrera, Rowlings ha demostrado su destreza y habilidad en las pistas de drift, conquistando podiums y rompiendo barreras. Su estilo agresivo y arriesgado la ha convertido en una de las favoritas del público y en una inspiración para las mujeres que sueñan con incursionar en el mundo del automovilismo.
Además de su talento como piloto, Rowlings también es una defensora de la igualdad de género en el deporte. Ha trabajado arduamente para derribar los estereotipos y prejuicios que rodean a las mujeres en el automovilismo, demostrando que el género no define la habilidad de una persona al volante.
En cuanto a sus logros, Rowlings ha obtenido múltiples reconocimientos a lo largo de su carrera. Ha sido campeona en varias competencias de fórmula drift y ha participado en eventos internacionales representando a su país. Su dedicación y pasión por el deporte la han llevado a convertirse en una de las pilotos más destacadas de la disciplina.
Rowlings estará presente en la última fecha de Maestros del Drift el cual se llevará acabo este 1 de octubre en las instalaciones del Autódromo Internacional El Jabalí.
