Continued. Foreseen verse Yasuo ( @fcrgiven ) and Taliyah.
Tumblr media
𝐇𝐞𝐫 𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 as she set to work on skin and ridges that had become as familiar as her own. In each movement there was tenderness, like resuming to stitch a precious and grand tapestry, like her mother had once lifted and tied her unruly hair. When she was younger, she would frown while mending her Master's wounds, out of worry for his well being, out of anger for his tendency to drift into danger. Now, she had witnessed this cycle enough times to accept it, and her expression was gentle and steady, like her handiwork.
This ritual had remained the same over the years, just like her Master's sword had remained by his side. In their lifetimes, the world had not changed enough for him to put it down, or for Taliyah to put down her needle. They had traveled the world many times, and many times thought it would be their last. They had been known as many things, but they were still Master and student. The world was still unbalanced, and they tried not to trip in its tremors. Great Weaver, she tended to ask these days, what is fate, but a row of stitches, each so alike the previous?
There was much good in that pattern too, beside the dark. In its weave threaded many happy memories, wisdom and love colored blue like the well-worn scarf she used to know many years ago, red that followed it and learnt to fly across the canvas. Her and Yasuo had always complemented each other, in the way the stone and wind learn from one another.
When the mending was done and Yasuo rose to regard her, smiling with warmth that had not reached so deep many years ago, Taliyah knew that her Master had learnt and grown beside her. Their mutual teacher was apparent, as Yasuo embraced her and kissed her forehead, as she returned the embrace. It was apparent as he voiced what had made them much more than student and Master. He spoke that simple thing which had taught them the most and made them friends, family.
Taliyah could've told him that her love for him was as deep as the earth and as vast as the sky. That it grew in her each day and wove itself into the very tapestry of her life. Instead, she raised her one good hand to his cheek and replied simply, ❛ You know I love you very much. ❜ Then, in the next moment, she was a fledgling again, having her hair ruffled. Normalcy was returning, and she knew to value it these days.
❛ Lunch sounds good. You need to regain your strength. Those scrapes might still bring a fever later on, but I hope not. ❜
There was that urge again, to frown and condemn the cause of those wounds that now threatened her dear friend. But she knew she didn't have to, for her Master to learn his lesson. A playful smile was creeping onto her features instead, as she found some humor to latch onto.
❛ I think we better listen to what you want. The body knows what it needs to recover. ❜

ASK ME ABOUT VIDEO GAMES
5. Least favorite video game character?
Oh man, the *least* favorite... this is a tossup for me. On one hand, you have Yasuo from League of Legends. His release is pretty much where I can pinpoint the decline of the fun I had with that game, and while I still play a lot from time to time, I pretty much have to keep him on perma-ban because I just hate dealing with him so much. However, right next to him in the "least favorite" / "most hated" group is Taniks, The Scarred from Destiny. See, in the lore, Taniks is a mercenary that likes to hunt humans - there were lots of reports about him being taken out, but he always seemed to come back. So one of our beloved NPCs made a bet w/ his friend to go kill him, and they succeeded. But then Taniks somehow came back again, and killed his friend. Then we kill him during the story of the game. And then he comes back again. So we put him down again. Then he comes back (sort of) as a Nightmare demon conjured up by an ancient evil trying to mess with our heads, and we kill him again. But *then* he gets turned into a Robot, so we have to kill him *again*. Dude just will *not stay down* and I am so, SO tired of killing Taniks.
10. Hardest video game you’ve played?
If we go by pure difficulty, it's gotta be "I Wanna Be The Guy". It's an *incredibly* difficult platformer that specifically relies on surprise mechanics and precision jumps, and eventually I just got so fed up with the constant "surprise! you died to something you never could have foreseen, now do all of those awful jumps all over again cause we don't give you regular save points!" that I uninstalled it and never looked back.
11. Video game you’ve spent the most time on?
By a wide margin, it's Destiny 2.
Tumblr media
This is only counting hours on PC too, not counting the few hundred I put in on PS4 before it was ported to PC.
14. Most memorable gaming moment?
There are plenty to talk about, and I'll start with an honorable mention w/ Destiny wherein I had remained unspoiled about a raid boss, and the other five players in my raid team knew who it was. So when we got about halfway through and the pod opens up and fucking Taniks walks out again, I lose my shit and go absolutely feral on the mic, and just start punching the glass trying to get at this guy because here he is, *again*, and now I have to kill him *again*.
But really, the most memorable moment for *me* specifically would have been back when I was playing MAG for the PS3. For those of you unaware, it was an FPS whose selling point was massive battles involving 64/128/256 players in each match. Players were grouped up into squads of 8, with a leader in each one, and then your team also had other levels of leader who could control battlefield wide effects such as vehicle spawns, air drops, faster respawns, ect.
I led a 128v128 player battle *once* and it was one of the most chaotic things I had ever done. I had to pay attention to eight different fronts, assigning assistance and objectives while also trying to blast dudes in front of *me* as well, I was running around from every front resurrecting people manually while using every ability as often as possible. It was an absolute clusterfuck. We lost every front but one, so I went there and made a rush for the motorpool and grabbed one of the vehicles we had. And in the most braindead maneuver I've ever accomplished, I drove it straight into the enemy lines and ran over their commander. We both died, I got flamed out by my subordinates, but we *did* win because I knocked out their ability to do faster respawns and we held out long enough. That moment of "Fuck it, I'll do it myself" is one of the most memorable moments for me.

Summer Fun
Their boat was glorious. Yasuo had fashioned a tree trunk himself with nothing but his blade and the wind. Rapidly slicing currents would shape the frame of the canoe, and his blade would deal with the finer details, even going so far as to carve the words Moon’s Grace on the side. He thought it was a nice touch, and smiled softly when he’d seen the entire boat come together. It would carry the two of them this morning.
It was bright and early, the crack of dawn, and though he normally wasn’t one to get moving so early, he had foreseen a perfect opportunity to go out and had alerted his companion to wake up early as well. The two of them weren’t one to spend the day together, hot sunlight burning his bare skin and fatiguing him faster than usual, yet this morning was particularly cloudy, a soft mist hovering over the lake’s surface like a veil waiting to be pierced.
He nudges the makeshift boat into the water and waits for her to get in. “Hope you weren’t expecting a cheery, bright boat trip. Figured a quiet, early morning fog exploration would be a little more mysterious.”

Turn the Lights Off, Carry Me Home
Pairing: Yasuo/Irelia (League of Legends)
Summary: It was chaste, only a simple rekindling of their friendship and then...then it wasn’t.
for: @dragonchristianlady97
It was still dark when he woke, barely minutes after midnight, slowly and carefully as to not rouse the other occupant of the small cot. His companion stirred, causing him to pause but immediately sighed in relief when she didn't show any sign of awareness, and only snuggled deeper into his side of bed as if seeking his warmth.
A heavy sense of guilt filled his chest and for a moment he was tempted to lay back, his heart aching to feel the softness of her body for one last time.
Instead, he settled into placing a kiss on her forehead and covered her undress with the blanket.
It was hard, leaving her like this every time they would meet, but he knows the longer he lingers, the harder it'll be to find the will to go.
The coldness of the floor welcomed his bare feet when he stood, stretching a bit, at the same time, to soothe the ache of his muscles. Noticing the fire dying from the pit, he threw in some logs, before moving to search for his clothing.
The hut, a hidden place they have used for their usual rendezvous, was not that spacious so he easily found what he was looking for. A ghost smile graced his lips when his mind replayed the events of last night's encounter. Days of not seeing each other had led to a very passionate reunion, they barely exchanged hellos before their clothes and armor were discarded and carelessly strewn on the floor.
One night was not enough, however, he thought, as he bent down to reach his hakama. He has yet to depart, yet he could already feel the pain missing of her; the sight of her sharp eyes, the soft smiles and comforting touches. He had lost count of the number of times he wished he could stay here, with her, to join her in her waking moments, and for them to witness the sunrise together, forever.
But he can't. Not yet.
What has become of their relationship was something both had not foreseen.
Once, they were childhood friends, having come from the same place and attending the same institution, with him a student to her Father. War had separated them, she was sent to the front lines while he was left behind, entrusted with an elder's life, a task he had neglected, and something he had deeply come to regret.
Ionia was losing. In his reckless decision to leave his post believing his blade and strength could make a difference, the elder died, and the murder blamed on him.
With no one, not even his brother, convinced of his innocence, he escaped and left Ionia in search for the real killer, hoping to bring justice to the elder and clear his faultless name.
She was one of the people sent to find him, for who better to catch the man Ionia now considered as most dangerous and most wanted, than its own hero, the Captain of the Guards?
When she found him, he was only a shell of the man he used to be, still lamenting over his brother's death, a death which he himself induced. And she, though proud of her current position, was a broken piece of herself, having been cursed and returned to the land of the living from dead.
Perhaps it was what brought them together, their melancholy. She listened to him when no one would. And he sympathized her when Ionia won't.
It started as a spark, small and harmless.
She let him go, believing his words and giving him the chance to fulfill his mission while vowing to help in any way she can.
Then, it slowly ignited.
They would write each other secretly, him telling her of his travels and discoveries, and her sharing her problems with the Council, her new found power and continued disturbance from her resurrection.
It was chaste, only a simple rekindling of their friendship, and then... then it wasn't.
The flames broke.
They met again, several years later, in the Institute of War for the League of Legends. He was still looking for the assassin and she was representing Ionia in the hopes of preventing another war.
None could remember how it began, who kissed who, who touched who. It just felt right, perfect, almost as if their broken spirits started mending each other. And what once was understanding, companionship, lust, turned into love.
But it was still forbidden. The heavy principles of duty and honor barring their paths.
She has a responsibility to their people, and he, a virtue he needed to regain. They can't be together whilst the culprit was out, and yet to face punishment for his crime.
He can ask her to run away with him, forget honor and duty,  go to a place where no one would recognize them. Perhaps to Shurima, since she likes warm weather and he was certain Taliyah would offer help.
Yet he won't.
For she doesn't deserve it, living her life hiding, shunned, because she consorted with him, a murderer. And he doesn't deserve it because the blood wasn't on his hands.
Gripping his sword tightly, he makes her a silent promise to find the killer imminently. For only then, their relationship will be accepted. Only then, they'll find happiness. They'll find peace.
"Yasuo?"
Her sleep-laden voice shook him from his thoughts, and he cursed himself for moving slowly. He didn't want her to see him go. He placed his sword aside with precaution and turned to face her, gasping as he saw her tears fall. In an instant, she was caged inside his strong arms.
"Don't cry, please, Irelia." He whispered, pressing kisses on her brow.
"Don't leave me." She pleaded and it was all he needed to hear.
It'll be different when the sun comes.
Tomorrow, they'll pretend as though they were distant, be forced to fight, as opponents, as allies, in the Fields of Justice, but for now… for now, he'll remain by her side.
