Ford Mustang GT4, 2023. To be presented this weekend during the 24 Hours of Spa at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit in eastern Belgium, the GT4 version of the new generation 2024 Mustang Dark Horse. Multimatic will build the cars using Coyote-based V8 race engines, developed in-house by Ford Performance and assembled by Ford in Dearborn, Michigan. The Mustang GT4 race car also features Multimatic DSSV dampers, a Holinger dog-ring gearbox, paddle shifters with pneumatic actuation, natural fibre body panels, as well as a an aero package developed to meet GT4 category targets.
With the 2023 FIAWEC 1000 Miles of Sebring and the IMSA 12 Hours of Sebring now but a memory, this southern Florida mainstay echoes with the exhaust note of the Ford Mustang GT3 as this entirely new model works out the kinks ahead of its planned 2024 debut.
