To celebrate a year of FFXV and the end of the first year of updates, let’s spread the FFXV love! I haven’t seen a tag meme like this for FFXV yet, so I decided to make one. If you see this and want to, copy/paste this list and share what your favorite things about FFXV are.

Favorite Chocobro: (is ravus a chocobro?) definitely IGNIS! he was no my favorite in the beginning, i thought he was just the obligatory butler-type character, but the moment insomnia fell and he dashed into the room looking at noctis like the world just ended, it became a slippery slope into ignis hell real fast! he’s always calm and ready to take control! fits snugly in my glove fetish, well-ironed suit kink, megane type, can cook while simultaniously cutting a bitch!! he’s just the whole package u feel me!!

and then he went and gotten himself a sad side story?? JUST WHEN U THOUGHT U COULDN’T LOVE HIM MORE???

Favorite Guest Party Member (including Ravus and Libertus from DLC): RAVUS!!!! i’ve been itching to know more about him, not just from the wiki article, but his attitude, the banter, what he does in a rest stop, his idling poses etc AND I GOT IT ANDI LOVE HI MS OMUCH HE JUST WANNA PROTECC

Favorite Minor Character(s): Aranea Highwind! she just seems so badass! she’s a hands-on military bamf who is in charge of her own platoon, she’s the only lady who attends military meetings with the emperor, has the gall to sigh at verstael and gossip about ardyn when he’s three feet away, she takes everything in stride but when lives are at stake she will put her sharp stiletto’d foot down. is she some powerful soldier’s daughter? is she an orphanage child? did niflheim take over her hometown or did she move to gralea on her own? I NEED TO KNOW MORE And also i kinda ship her with everybody and my friends tell me i sound very gay when i talk about her and at this point who am i to disagree am i right lmao

Favorite Villain: Daemon Ravus, it was actually the first time i ran out of healing items in the whole game and saw the game over screen. IT WAS TOUGH AND I WAS UNPREPARED AND UNDERESTIMATED HIM OK but hecc yeah it was a fun battle!!

Favorite Kingsglaive Character: uhh i dunno man i only watched it once, but i like Lunafreya’s characterization in it rather then the way she was in the actual game, does that count?

Favorite Astral/Divine Being: shiva, she’s gorgeous, the added cut scene with a conversation with her and a close up of her fabulous face was a blessing ♥ why she gotta hide inside a human though go out there and tell people what to do instead of manipulating them by proxy lmao

Favorite Character Overall: i love the dynamic of the four boys when they’re together, but the only one who i felt really REALLY lost without was prompto. i love ignis, but my chocoboy was gone for five minutes and i could not function, so i’m guessing both??

Favorite Weapon: the engine blade? i don’t switch out weapons alot (even though i should) i like that upgrading it made it stronger and i love to point warp + it goes nyoom

Favorite Location: the catoblepas pool in duscae ♥ i could run around there allll day listening to the field music and pretending i can pet the little garulessa and hide under the shack roof when it rains and drink warm tea from a thermos and catch some fish while watching the happy cyclops flop around in the water with it’s friend aaaaaaa ♥

Favorite Quest/Questline/Hunt: going into the dungeon with Aranea to get mythril, i loved chatting with her, her fighting is great, and we get to see and kill quetzalcoatl lmao, i also liked the frog quests for sania so when people whine about catching frogs i’m like lmao watch me launch myself face down into salty mud to catch this rainbow mofo

Favorite Boss: Bandersnatch! that big boye is so cool and fantastic and level 2 me nearly shat myself the first time i saw the level 40 one strolling around that leide watering hole and the Nope Music came on

Favorite Monster/Monster Family/etc: the friendly animals that let you walk around in their herd and not attack you (sometimes lmao) the anak, garula, spiracorn, they’re just so cute!

Favorite Songs: Noctis’s theme, Ravus aeternia, hellfire, relax and reflect,, song of the stars, wanderlust, apocalypses Noctis, Invidia (THE WHOLE OST IS GOOD OK) also altissia under siege from the episode ignis dlc

Favorite Boss Theme: when you go against a monster that’s 30 levels higher than u and omnis lacrima starts and you backpedal yelling shit shit shit then get smacked with a tail and then the music picks up and ur like i shouldnt have had burnt toast for breakfast

Favorite Non-Episode DLC/Update/Event: i liked the ass fest because we got to follow Loqi around and then shank him in a back alley and then send him to space like team rocket, i love that little shrimp commander i want more Loqi content, i bet he’s gonna be sassy if he was ever on our team but only like, a tsundere sassy. offer him a sandwich and he’ll buy you a coffee next time there’s a vending machine around and he’ll take ur pick with kenny crow and promote you to his instagram followers lmao

Favorite Episode DLC: EPISODE IGNIS 10000% BEST!!!! i love episode prompto, we learned a lot about our sweet boy, episode gladio was kinda uhhhh underwhelming... but episode ignis touched up on a lot of story bits that i liked and it had a lot of Ravus and my boye ignis pays-the-empty-cash-register scientia got some new specs so yeah (finger guns)

Other Favorites of Note:

the music is FANTASTIC

i met a lot of wonderful people through this dumb game

the only game where every ship makes sense and has potential and people don’t get on your case about a crack ship lmao

i love the photography mechanic, even though i spent most of it trying to get up in Ignis’s face

kenny crow is a national treasure

if you did not paint your monster truck bright pink and stuck a cactuar decal on it then you have not lived

FFXV Favourites Meme

I came across this via @lhugbereth and thought I needed to do this!

instructions:

Favorite Chocobro: Ignis. It’s always Ignis.The man is good looking, stylish, dedicated and just the right amount of dork. Find me a husband like that.

Favorite Guest Party Member (including Ravus and Libertus from DLC): That’s quite hard actually, because all of them are so neat. But I think I’ll have to go with Aranea, sassiest woman in the house.

Favorite Minor Character(s): DINO. Totally. That flamboyant guy is just too hilarious for anything.

Favorite Villain: Excuse me while I scream Ardyn from the top of a dark misty mountain with all my might, loud and clearly. This wonderfully twisted man with dark past and excellent humour is the fanciest and sassiest badass villain I ever met. I would let him step on me.

Favorite Kingsglaive Character: I’m sorry for the mainstream, but: Nyx. I thought about Regis, I really did. But it came down to Nyx. (And Luna in that combo)

Favorite Astral/Divine Being: Ifrit. Somehow I got reluctant to take Shiva. She’s beautiful but lately she’s giving me the creeps. Ifrit is the answer. I want to imagine a tragic fate behind him turning against the other Gods. And I like fire as element in general.

Favorite Character Overall: IGNIS. I will never waver or back down on that one. He’s the one. There are so many good characters, like: I really like Cor? But Ignis just beats all of them.

Favorite Weapon: Daggers and polearms in general. I just love the fighting style. In terms of power it of course would have to be the Ring of the Lucii.

Favorite Location: Altissia, I guess. I am living trash for Venice, so the first time I saw Altissia I was just blown away. I love that city. It might have gotten outshined by Tenebrae I think, but as you don’t really get to see it ingame...

Favorite Quest/Questline/Hunt: I liked the Quezalcoatl one pretty much. The surroundings with the water above in the ruins were really beautiful.

Favorite Boss: The Melusine (was that what she was called?) update quest was great. I will never forget the bitchslaps for Noct.

Favorite Monster/Monster Family/etc: Coeurls. Those felines are just beautiful and so deadly...

Favorite Song: Stand by me? I mean... yes? The OST overall is wonderful but that song always brings the feels.

Favorite Boss Theme: “Stand your ground” is great, same as “Veiled in black” but my absolute favourite is Apocalypsis Noctis.

Favorite Non-Episode DLC/Update/Event: The Assassin one was great. I loved it.

Favorite Episode DLC: I might be repetitive but: IGNIS. So much story. So much content, so many feels. Thank you SE.

Other Favorites of Note: The graphics and the beautiful artworks or this game. Everything is so detailed, well thought out and things are not left to chance. Even with its flaws, this world is so complex and well thought through, I love it. That realistic hair and clothing stuff, the nature... I could go on for years, but to cut it short: visuals and the closeness to reality.

FFXV threw me into my very first fandom experience and I’m not going to leave here. I feel welcomed and at home. It’s the reason I started tumblr, the cause for meeting many wonderful people, hours of fandom talk and good fanfictions and art. Guys, thank you so so much for all the fun. Feel hugged and I can’t wait for more of the good fun next year.

Favorite location: Man, that’s a toss up between Galdin Quay and Altissia.

Favorite Quest/Questline/Hunt: I don’t know why, but A Stone-Studded Stunner. Maybe I just like the name. =p

Favorite Boss: Behemoth King

Favorite Daemon/Monster/Monster Family/etc: I got a thing for Ronin’s, I like how they look I guess - other than that, is a Coeurl [ no matter how many times they kick my ass. >> ]

Favorite Song: I wanna say all of it, but the first song to come to mind of course is Calling for Rain.

Favorite Boss Theme: Hellfire.

Favorite Non-Episode DLC/Update/Event: Assassin’s Festival. Definitely.

Favorite Episode DLC: It’s a cross between Prompto and Ignis, I want them so badly to go back and REDO Episode Gladiolus - or just turn that one into Episode Cor and give me something else with the shield.

Other Favorites of Note: Well, this really isn’t about the game itself, it’s more about the community around it. I have met some of the most amazing, creative, wonderful people in this fandom, and I am so damned happy that it brought me to them.

FFXV Favorites Meme

I was tagged by @geekgoddess813. Thank you GG! This was really fun.

Instructions:

Favorite Chocobro:

Ignis. Not gonna lie, I started with Gladio and still have major thirst for him (the car pushing scene? Yes) but Ignis with his sassy intelligence, nuanced body language, and beautiful voice acting stole my heart pretty quickly. (I play with English VAs but have listened to some of his Japanese VA and it's also wonderful). He is many things I am (nerd, mom friend, quietly passionate about stuff) and am not (sculpted god who can do backflips), and I find that very appealing. Also he reads queer to me and I enjoy that too. (YMMV don't yell at me just my headcanon!) Thirst wise though, it's true, the other two crept into my tent too, sneaky beaky like, and I'm not kicking them out.

Favorite Guest Party Member (including Ravus and Libertus from DLC):

Aranea. She is the badass you wanna be and be with. Also dragoons rule as a general matter.

Favorite Minor Character(s):

Regis (does he count as minor?) He pulled at my heartstrings so hard and was just the kindest, bravest dad.

Favorite Villain:

I'm a sucker for a sexy voice, so yeah. Ardyn. Also I do have a weakness for smirkers.

Favorite Kingsglaive Character:

Nyx. Crowe would have been a contender but she didn't get enough screen time. That scene where he's playing with fire? swoon. Also I dig his hairdo and backstory.

Favorite Astral/Divine Being:

Gentiana/Shiva. Because I'm superficial (that's probably obvious at this point) and girl is STACKED. I also loved how Gentiana is her the whole time. Also also also, and let me not get on a huge tangent about this, but you really *see* the effect summoning her has on Noct. He's cold, and he looks like it hurts. I thought they could have done better in the game with showing the toll the armiger weapons and summons take. There is an excellent fic I read somewhere that fleshes this out. I will find it and reblog it because it's exactly what I wanted from the story.

Favorite Character Overall:

Iggy. He's just undeniable. Also after the DLC with his hair down? Yes please.

If I HAD to make it someone different- Gladio. He is more nuanced than people realize, I think. When he hollered at Noctis on the train, I remembered all the times I felt like I had failed miserably, couldn't fix it, and so yelled at someone else over something smaller. Yeah, it doesn't make you feel better and probably isn't a good character trait. But I didn't find it unrealistic. *shrug*

Favorite Weapon:

I'm gonna copy GG a *bit* and say Ardyn's armiger. Because watching all those weapons he got stole over the years fan out was pretty majestic, and added to the story. Also his reaper scythe was cooooool.

Favorite Weapon you can actually fight with? Ragnarok or Iggy’s frost daggers.

Favorite Location:

Zegnautus Keep. I know I'm weird but I love industrial creepy.

Favourite Quest/Questline/Hunt:

I really enjoyed climbing Ravatogh with the boys. Outdoorsing is fun, and the area was neat looking. Also, dragons. (nerd)

Favorite Boss:

Ravus. His story and conflict are really compelling. And the whole vampire-era-Tom-Cruise thing he has going on doesn't hurt either.

Favorite Monster/Monster Family/etc:

Iron and Red Giants. They look super cool at night. Also, once I reached the point in the game where I could swagger around at night without being afeared, it was really fun. (Iggy was like "we can drive at night now" and I'm all DAMN RIGHT WE CAN!) Also, bonus Aranea drop-in opportunity.

Favorite Song:

Can’t choose just one.

Lestallum, because I love Spanish guitar.

There is this really great music that plays sometimes after a dungeon that I haven’t been able to find the title of on any of the OST track lists. I love it though.

Favorite Boss Theme:

Invidia and Ardyn’s theme

Favorite Non-Episode DLC/Update/Event:

Assassin's Creed Festival. I disproportionately enjoy jumping off high things and do it in almost every game, sometimes to my peril, because I'm a weirdo. So that was super satisfying. Also Prompto's "the prince of garbage," Noct mocking Iggy’s "new recipeh" line, and Iggy's adorable complaints at how revealing the costumes are. LOVE.

Favorite Episode DLC:

Squenix took my favorite character and made him even hotter? Yeah, Episode Ignis pls. Also I love angst. And I am enjoying the gameplay too.

I liked the two other episodes too though. Gladio's story isn't quite as compelling, but it felt good to smash stuff and be a big badass. And Prompto's story made me cry, and also made me feel like maybe I can actually play shooters?

Other Favorites of Note:

Killing the final boss at the end of Episode Prompto. It was pretty awesome to beat something that large from the back of a snowmobile.

Cindy. *sighs dreamily* I also enjoyed the little snippets of backstory and development they gave her (more would have been great too). She's more than just a pretty everything.

Fave Things to Do:

Chocobo riding. It's just so cute.

Get the boys all grubby and dirty and then take them somewhere nice to sleep

‎olllldddeerr Chocobros. So attractive!

‎link strikes. I love all the little animations.

‎listen to music from some of my other fave FF games in the car

cute car animations (My favorites are Who Farted and Shut Up Prompto) I totally brake check Noctis when he sits his irresponsible ass on the back of the car too. I'll never admit to him that he does look pretty cool up there.

Going to murder that giant snake down in Crestholm Channels. That dungeon was overall fun.
