when i was thinking abt the lea.isa<-->cri.menos outfit swap thing for like a week straight before actually doodling it out i had like a six hour span of time where kaldena and xemnas were just like sitting next to each other in my brain . like there is a thread here i fucking know it. and the thread is being gray haired antagonists w a fickle or otherwise differing relationship to their universes god/gods who i feel have some mishandlings in the culmination of their "arcs" but otherwise will keep me awake thinking abt them for days straight. same shit different square enix game.
#dave rants#for clarity when i say xe has some mishandlings i mean it in the sense tht. the series as a whole has little interest in the parts of xem i#find the most fascinating and otherwise xe isnt rlly given the same graces as other nobody characters on account of being the big bad.#which is fine on its own but it is intertwined w the colorism in the series and i just think thts kind of a shame.#whereas kaldenas is a lot more overt and way less subtle bc the all of it is wht ur forced to look at . the entire game is like that its#just so concentrated comparatively.#i also generally feel protective over the two of them bc idislike the way other fans of each games talk abt either of them.#thats not entirely fair bc im sure if i rlly rlly Looked id find other ppl who have had lined of thought abt xem that id be fascinsted by-#but i have not found those and prefer to just sit around and reread manga chapters or replay the games i have access to instead of look.#and thts a personal thing.#w kaldena im the only bitch in the tag for her so shes mine <3
