Last month in Curaçao: Molenplein z/n, Complex Paris-Amsterdam, Otrobanda, Curaçao, Netherlands Antilles. This residence was built in several periods. The oldest section show characteristics of Curaçao’s 18th century Baroque period. The well known Doctor Engels lived and worked in this building from 1936-1954. Doctor Engels started a modern art movement in the attic of this building, where painters and musicians could come together. In 1954 Doctor Engels moved to Villa Stoomzicht, where the modern art movement expanded and attracted artists from all over the world.
