aah, thanks for taking an interest in my latest tbosbas brain child! here is a little info dump on her under the cut

*virgilia "gilly" price.

she is the daughter of nero price, a titan in the railroad industry, and the younger sister of coriolanus' classmate, persephone price.

her latin rooted name means "staff bearer" and pays homage to the wife of coriolanus in shakespeare's play of the same name.

unlike her father and older sister, gilly is much more empathetic and in tune with her emotions. it's arguable if this is just a default demeanor of hers, or if it's due to how sheltered she was in comparison to the rest of her family.

gilly had a crush on coriolanus snow growing up that she never quite shook off. however, her infatuation was always one-sided.

her feelings were painfully obvious to everyone including coryo himself, who-while flattered-never saw her as anything more than persephone's cute younger sister.

she was heartbroken when he began to show interest in his talented tribute, lucy gray baird. as a result, she opted to sponsor her sister's tribute instead out of jealousy. when coriolanus left for district 12, gilly was left inconsolable.

it wasn't until coryo was brought back to the captiol a changed man that he suddenly grew an interest in her (that was all strategically planned on his part unbeknownst to her). he asked to go steady with an overjoyed gilly, claiming to have feigned disinterest before as a way to keep focused on his studies. the pair wed less than two years later.

she bore coriolanus at least one child; a son i have yet to name.

gilly is the epitome of viewing someone with "rose colored glasses" while smitten since she was blind to most of coryo's faults until it was too late.
