This year’s honestly been actually great, whether it’s the stories and characters we got to fall in love, or the friends I’ve made and bonded over the year with!!!! It was cathartic to take a step back and really write out how much I appreciate the people that’ve been with me here, and I hope no matter where you are, what decade ur in rn (holds head) there’s good things waiting for u!!!!

Final two drawings for today, they’re a bit old but I still want to post them.

First up is Madeleine and Lamb Chop, they were both in the recent wonderland event and I couldn’t resist a quick doodle of them. I was lazy with hands and such, but really only planned to use this as a personal reference.

Second drawing is more recent and relates to my Food Fantasy human AU. Inspired once again by the Wonderland Event, I wanted the witches mentioned in the Tea Party to be a friend group.

Depicted from left to right is: Cookie. Fruit Tart (Back), Surströmming (Front), and Madeleine.

In the AU, the four have an obsession with the occult and magic. They tried to start a club at school but the teachers weren’t keen on the idea of ritual practices and such in their building. Instead the girls just go to Sürstromming’s house and hold their club there. Her dad is more supportive of their activities than her mom, however they still have ground rules such as “no blood rituals.”

For those curious, Surströmming’s family is going to be the main focus of the AU, for which I will eventually make it’s own Tumblr Blog... Just need to finish hammering out a few more details.

- Blood Pudding does exist in the AU, she’s just not a part of the family. I made this choice since I’ve seen some people ship her with Stargazy.

- B52 is still a part of the Dessert Delight Squad and they exist in the universe.

- Oyster is currently the only sibling in college.

- Other characters will be introduced with time just with general interactions with the family.

Croissant, Cassata and Surstromming cuddles!

Croissant:

First of all, good luck. This boy is too busy for cuddles most of the time. The only way to achieve cuddle time is either by jumping him and refusing to let go until he gives in or when he’s taking a (small break). Whilst he gets slightly irritated at first he secretly LOVES to snuggle up.

At first, he’s slightly awkward, not knowing where to put his hands and really not sure how to react. He kinda just stands there and lets you do all the work. Give him time though, he’ll warm up to it and after a while, he’ll be the one to cuddle you!

Wings!! He wraps his wings around you to hold you close. If he’s had a particularly bad day, he’ll ask if you have a spare moment. That moment turns into a winged cacoon of warmth and snuggles, hope you don’t have anything important to do, he won’t let go for a while.

He’s not exactly built for cuddling, but he makes up for it in small gestures during cuddle time. Slight swaying in a soothing manner, light humming (particularly hymns and lullabies), and a feeling of safety. Can’t explain it, but he has a really safe aura. Slightly chilly, but safe.

Always the big spoon, sorry wings have their issues. Tried it maybe once and he hated it because of how far away you felt. Saying that run your fingers through the feathers at the start of his back. Within a second he’ll swoon, not something he’ll admit but won’t deny either.

He’s a tall boi so if you’re a shorty he will pick you up for maximum cuddles. If you’re taller then he’ll cling. Either way the closer the better with him. He doesn’t have much ‘me’ time or time in general, he has to make every moment count so get out there and hug him!!

Type to have one hand on your head and one on the small of your back, no matter the height. Somewhat robotic with his movements but he’s trying, okay? He’s new to this type of contact so bare with him for a while, once he gets the hang of it he’ll be a soft hugger.

Hugs are rare and a little lacking at first. Best hugs are either standing up or lying down on a big bed (#wingproblems). Croissant gets a 5/10. Not the best but definitely puts a lot of effort into being good. Maybe once the Pledge occurs he’ll get a 7/10.

Cassata:

Probably one of the most chill when it comes to hugs, neither needs nor hates them. If you want a hug, cool, he’s down for it. Don’t like them much? Alright, but stay close, contact may not be needed but he likes the closeness, even a little pinky hug is good.

Really soft cuddles, not the type to suffocate his partner by holding them too tightly. He gives fairly firm hugs, very safe and very warm. Literally, the best if you’re down in the dumps. Give him a sec to grab a blanket and I promise you’ll feel better in seconds.

If Cassata is in a particularly cheeky mode he may start a tickle fight so that he can get cuddles. It’ll be when you least expect it, during a break so you’re not near anything that you can hurt yourself on. He’ll quickly tickle you and once you’re down its cuddle time!

Really likes sleepy cuddles, napping or just chilling. To him, nothing is nicer than waking up in your arms with nothing to drag him away. No fights, no work, just a nice day in where he can just chill with you. Bonus if you planned ahead and brought snacks up so you don’t need to leave the bed!

Soupspoon, he can go either way. Whilst spooning isn’t his favourite cuddling position (he likes to see your face) he can go either way. Most of the time he’s the big spoon, but if you want to switch it up he’s all for it. He likes being cuddled every once in a while.

The only time his cuddles are desperate is if you get hurt of if he has a nightmare, he gets a tad clingy. Really just wants comfort and you better give it to him. He doesn’t like being seen in a vulnerable state so he’ll be hella grateful if you comfort him.

Nose rub!! You know when a cat rubs their head against yours? He’ll do that but nose mode! It’s the non-verbal way of saying ‘i love you’ to him. If he’s feeling particularly passionate, nose kisses as-well. This is only during cuddle-time though, he won’t do it otherwise~

When cuddling his hands are on your waist, if you’re a short he may hoist you up for maximum cuddles. If you’re taller he will climb. Overall 8/10, really comfortable and warm, a little on the chill side but honestly? That’s a bonus.

Surststromming:

She! Loves! Cuddles! She honestly cannot get enough, if she could she would cuddle you 24/7/365. Unfortunately, she can’t and neither can you. So, when you do have a break she’ll be there ready.

Suprise cuddles! She will take any opportunity to surprise you with a hug. If you’re strong enough she would absolutely love it if you carried her around whilst she hugs you. It’s one of her favourite cuddle positions, not her absolute favourite but is definitely in her top three.

Her absolute favourite is you in her lap, her fingers tracing your face (particularly your ears, she thinks they’re cute) and a blanket wrapped around you both. If you fall drifting off she’ll start to sing. She used to dream of moments like this so please don’t get up too soon!

Hug her first and she may tear up, she never really expected someone else to be the initiator. When you do, she’ll pretty much squeeze the life out of you in joy. Watch out though, she may pick you up and swing you around. It’s fine though if your dizzy she’ll take good care of you~

Will sit on your lap if you’re doing sit-down work (paperwork). She doesn’t mind not being the centre of attention, she just wants to be close to you. If she does want some attention though, she’ll hum in your ear.

Thinks she’s the big spoon but really likes being the little spoon. She really likes that feeling of being encased in warmth. Careful though, if she gets too warmth her scales get a bit sharp. When that happens she’ll need to take a little cuddle break. Give her a few minutes, or join her for water cuddles!

Speaking of water cuddles, she loves them! If you can’t swim she’ll happily hold you close as she practically dances in the water. If you can… she’ll do the same. She just really enjoys swimming with you in her arms! Make sure to remind her that you need to breathe though!

Overall 7.5/10, really good cuddler and pretty often. The only downside is being cold after water cuddles and depending on how much contact you like she might come off as slightly too clingy. That’s up to you though. As time goes on she’ll understand your boundaries more and will hug accordingly.
