tw girls x liability (reprise) — this reminded me that i need to write a meta based on this ty !! hadn’t giffed anyone other than thiam, and the way the possibilities for scene selections spilled open? the way i was working with proper lighting for once? glorious. 

liam dunbar: i could never give you peace — shattered, bloody mirrors in teen wolf my beloveds !! <3 i didn’t intend to make this but i do harbor a personal agenda of ensuring he beats the himbo allegations. love picspams for foregrounding the words (and have a kira one i need to post soon!) 

thiam: your ivy grows, and now i’m covered in you — first time blending and painting gifs! the parallel of their eyes glowing in 6x06 and 6x15 is so igniting!! the sword splitting the earth open? fantastic! the sans serif font is called dunbar which is also <3

this love x thiam — this is, like, the second set i ever made, but the coloring and glowing font are still so pretty to me and fitting of the dreamlike, expansive quality that the song’s rerecording has. also with how cool-toned most thiam scenes are, it all fell into place effortlessly and looks that way.

thiam: first love, you remember what that’s like? — (in which i discover my favorite sharpening settings for the first time, but not yet how to do transitions in gifs, so i make the transitions in video and import from there.) time and memory are my favorite topics to explore, so this was sooooo fun. i think it’s poignant! 

i also enjoy the blending on the 3a set! the emotional tether gif especially, the timing of it, how the water flows over lydia’s hands, looks kind of starry, how her eyes flutter open as allison’s close. this was the “draft” version without selective color or a gradient map over it, which i think also looks nice:

i always heard that line in fireflies as "the fentanyls will find me and switch me off this time" as a reference to struggles with addiction and the opioid crisis.. i know now thats not the line but either way it's sad as shit and just hearing it like that makes that song difficult to listen to for me. anyway how r u liking strange timez!!

Oh wow, anon, yeah, that makes it very sad, especially knowing both 2D and Murdoc have struggled (and are still struggling in Murdoc’s case, with 2D it’s unclear but that’s a different discussion) with addiction. And perhaps you’re correct about the lyrics. I’ll be honest, I copied and pasted those lyrics off of Google. The way you hear it makes a lot of sense!

As for the song and video - ooomg. First of all, the video is gorgeous. I don’t know a lot about art and animation, but my untrained take is that it all looked very clean, detailed, and precise (perfect for Virgo season lmao). I haven’t made a picspam graphic in a while, but this video makes me want to. That shot of 2D looking at the earth? Breathtaking.

And Murdoc! He had the main storyline, if we could call it that, and that’s all I could ever ask for :’) One of my favorite things about him is how expressive his face is, and there was SO much of that this video. He looked great. I was low-key worried about what was going to happen to him after he went through the portal, but I’m 99% sure he’s back home at Kong. Still, he looked shaken up at the end so I’m still going to hope he’s okay haha.

The song itself, I just listened to and, uh, it’s not a favorite. I like the slightly creepy vibe it had, but I’m not sure if I’ll listen to it again. However, I appreciate the message for its relevancy. These are indeed strange times..z.

(It’s a whole canon divergent Robert’s Rebellion never happened because long story short, Aerys arranged a marriage between Lyanna and Rhaegar AU). So far the timeline covers 2 potential fics, but I had a plot bunny for a vague third story, and *Tina Belcher groan*.

How You Choose Your Titles: I’ve been mostly lucky with finding song lyrics or titles that fit, but for other fics it’s a throwing a dart and seeing where it lands type of deal.

I’ve written a little bit of a modern royals AU, but when I hit a road block of the setup I needed to write I outlined it...then promptly forgot about it *facepalm*. Same thing for my jealous Jon fic. Then there’s snippets of fics in other fandoms I’ve written.

Sansa and the Wolf - canon divergent AU, fairy tale AU. Based on the Grimm brothers fairy tale Lily and the Lion. I’ve basically been wanting to do this since I joined the jonsa fandom in 2015. My initial idea for it was just going to be a rehashing of the fairy tale’s plot, but then certain...things happened in seasons 6 and 7 that made me go, “You know, I can use this for my story!” So yeah, there’s one instance where I’m glad I procrastinated lol.

Time Travel AU - basically, shit went down during the Battle for the Dawn, the good guys were losing, and Bran uses his 3ER powers to send him, Sansa, and Jon back..back in time. (Remember when Sansa said, “Don’t you wish we could go back to the day we left?” ?!?! Yeah, me too! Hint hint, nudge nudge!) Featuring: tired Ned, suspicious Catelyn, angry and protective Arya, and confused Robb.

The Compass, The Curse, The Crown - not Jonsa, but Captain Swan! Basically, this is a trilogy that’s start off as a No Curse Lieutenant Duckling AU, then eventually ties into certain plot elements from the show. I stupidly wrote the outline of these on my old phone and did not write a copy of them on my computer. (But it’s not lost or anything; I just have to charge my old phone up and retype the outline out on my computer like I should’ve done before lol.)

JANUARY - most popular was this queen cheorin scene. just kim jung hyun being the KING he is and getting us all hot over those lines. but my favorite has to be this run on picspam. the gifs always get more attention then the caps but the colors for the caps and the scenes just made me so happy

FEBRUARY - most popular is once again another queen cheorin scene lmao and once again i get it bc cheolbong being so soft still plucks at my heart strings all the damn time. my favorite though is this river where the moon rises capspam for the pilot ep. this set just made me think of those classic capspams back in like 2014 tumblr days and everything meshed so well. i’ve achieved nothing like this scene lol

MARCH - this navillera capspam was my most popular for march but this month was also me starting my new job so i didn’t really do any sort of editing

APRIL - didn’t make anything for april 

MAY - most popular was the first ep’s capspam for youth of may but my heart goes out to this other youth of may capspam. i just love the darker tones/coloring for this one

"London, present day. Leo and Riario were in a tempestuous but passionate relationship until they recently broke up. Leo, believing they'll get back together, is stunned when he gets a call saying Riario has attempted suicide. Desperate to win back the love of his life, Leo will go to any length to bring Riario home and repair their relationship." The regency AU Revenge fic Compassion and Conjugality; it's sort of a sequel to a previous historical au but it stands alone. "Facing execution for sodomy, Nolan is saved when Emily declares him to be her fiancé. I'm also proud of my Black Sails big bang, modern medical drama au, Bad Case of Loving You, my GoT fic au series It's Snowing Men where Jamie and Tyrion join Jon Snow at the Wall, my DvD pre-canon au Through All Hardship We Endeavour (Riario x Lucrezia), and my unconventionalcourtship Black Sails regency au Unconventional Countess which let me explore a nonsexual but deeply committed partnership between Silver and Max. Historical AUs, canon AUs, fantasy, h/c, nonsexual intimacy are probably key components of my work :) Fanfic is my go to but I do dabble in graphics and even fanvids; my youtube channel is RosettaGray and I have some Da Vinci's Demons vids there – of the four this is probably my favourite along with a crack CSI: Rome(if the Borgias were a crime show) and a Francois Arnaud/Morrocan Gigolos movie fanvid. Talk about hair washing and brushing, let fingers run through tousled locks! Bed sharing – I just love this idea of intimacy and it's related to… Nonsexual intimacy – I'm asexual and I adore nonsexual intimacies in fic. Hand kissing, showering, the aforementioned bed sharing and hair brushing. There's a particular kink I've tried exploring more and which I read more of but in private and I'm still not brave enough to come out and say it outright yet, though my love of h/c is always front and centre, unashamedly so. Day 11 Share a book/song/movie/tv show/fanwork/etc that changed your life. A few key moments. I think Star Trek: The Next Generation was the first fandom I wrote in, though in a notebook and never to be shared (this was a time long ago before the internet!) Quantum Leap and Babylon 5 I participated in by reading fanzines but I never wrote fic, but that was a new experience for me in terms of fandom. Brimstone is one of the earliest oneline fandoms I wrote fic for, via yahoo groups! Legend of the Seeker; I felt very connected to fans here especially in the community dedicated to the Rahl family. I've written more fic in this fandom than any other. Discworld; I came later to the series but Pratchett's work has been a touchstone ever since. Whedon; I know there's now much (warranted) criticism of the man and his newer works, but Buffy and Firefly made lasting impressions on me. CSI: I read a lot of forensic books when watching early seasons of CSI. Fandom often leads me to gain knowledge in areas it has piqued my interest in. Day 12 In your own space, create a fanwork. Make a podfic, an icon, a sketch, a meta, or a rec list. Arts and crafts. Cross stitch. Draft an essay about a particular medium. Put together a picspam or a fanmix. Write a review of book you love, a ship manifesto, a you-should-be-listening-to-this-band essay. Create something. I posted fic just two days ago Men of Vision and Ambition, I've got a draft fanfic WiP, plus I have original fic I work on these days. I also reviewed 3 books (1 great, 1 good, 1 awful) on tumblr yesterday, and I've got gameofcards to make things for soon enough ;) Just in case none of that counts (and of course they count, it's Snowflake Challenge!) So it used to be cheese and pepperoni but one day I realized I like roasted vegetables. (Probably because if you have pizza for lunch everyday at some point you feel like you need vegetables to like avoid scurvy)

So now I like allll the toppings :D :D and yess pineapple is especially good...

Scorpio with Taurus moon sign but I don’t know what ascending because I still need to ask my mom the time of my birth (…yes as you can see I’m totally like a Scorpio..)

Slytherin, possibly only because of the aesthetics… Because who wouldn’t pick the weird black-coloured drink that gives you visions etc??

Too hot or too cold? It used to be too hot, but now I prefer it too cold. (I hope it’s a sign I’m getting healthier but it’s probably not…)

Cold Pizza for Breakfast or Breakfast for Dinner? I’ve had both. Honestly anything edible is good. Sometimes I wish I could photosynthesis like a plant.

Aesthetics-wise it’d be a pile of mismatched blankets on the floor that I just lie on all day… and maybe a view of a big city on a rainy day… (so basically like, a hobo)

If you encountered a boggart what form would it take? Heights, family members dying, decay because like time passed and I didn’t notice?? driving on a never-ending road, and tbh failing class is possibly still my boggart x’’D

What Hogwarts subject do you think you’d excel at? Transfiguration and Arithmancy to an extent, Astronomy and probably Charms. I’d be bad with the hands-on stuff, Potions, Magical Creatures, Quidditch, DADA… And I’d like History, but I’m so bad at essays…

Out of everyone I think Tristan Jugson x’’D… Between Rita and Lucius I’m more like Rita but yeah, I usually give them either my traits or the polar opposite of my traits so it’s easy to keep track x’’D, so they turn out pretty different from me…
