May as well post here as well! The Cave of Dragonflies turned 21 years old on Thursday, and for the occasion, I updated the Favorite Pokémon Picker with both the ability to rescue previously eliminated Pokémon using the "Click here to check what happened to it" link and a new mode, split mode, which allows you to start by splitting the full set of Pokémon into two sets: every Pokémon that you pick in the first round will proceed to the next, while every Pokémon you didn't pick or passed on won't be seen again until you've added the whole picked set to your found favorites.

Split mode was primarily motivated by the common complaint I get from people who are annoyed that the picker keeps showing them Pokémon they don't care about again - either because they passed on the batch, which is the same as picking all of them, or because Pokémon get brought back into the running when their eliminators have been added to the favorite list. Both of those are very much intended and necessary features for the picker's algorithm to work out as it does, but once I thought of an algorithmically sound way to make this happen - effectively marking all Pokémon you don't pick in the first round as eliminated by all the ones you did - I figured it'd help those people.

But you can also use split mode to accomplish other things people have requested over the years. Because all split mode does is create a single set of Pokémon to proceed with from there and leave the rest until you've ordered that entire set, you can use it to create a custom set of Pokémon to pick between, if the predefined filters won't cut it - simply pick all the Pokémon that should be in the custom set in the first round, and then you can even export that state and send it to others who would want to pick from the same set.

And if you want to do something like work with only your favorite member of each evolution line - pick your favorite member of each evolution line in the first round and then work from there without worrying about the rest.

Pokemon lovers ! Talking with mutuals earlier made me remember this site !

On this site you have to chose between Pokémons which at the end will choose your fave pokemon(s) ! You can go as long as you want ! You even have the option to do it with shiny pokemons ! Or any Gen or type ! It’s fun thank you the one(s) that made it !

I like doing the favorite pokemon picker every so often after new games come out. I like to see how much my tastes have changed and I like to over-analyze and try to figure out what my favorite Pokémon say about me as a person. Tbh I think I like mostly liked/popular Pokémon so I guess I'm just a basic bitch X'D

Updated for the modern era. If there are blanks, it's because that region didn't have the type, or because the small dex meant few options, and there wasn't one I felt strongly about. Some of the Gens 6-8 are a little bit of a stretch but positive general impression counts well enough.

All it took was a smack in the head of stuff happening with Pokemon again. So, I opted to just make this for no reason on the Ultimate Favorite Pokemon Picker.

Fact about myself: I CAN'T PICK DEFINITIVE FAVOURITES TO SAVE MY LIFE. All of these choices of favourite pokemon are malleable as fugg, especially along the edges.

Feel free to comment to ask why I chose these as favourites. Though, some of these can be answered by: I used them in my teams, and/or I got a shiny of them during my time as a shiny hunter. Either that, or just for the love and memes, ala Dudunsparce and Clodsire.

TCoD now has Teal Mask stuff! And Home artwork for gen IX! And the Hisuian Pokédex in the Pokémon List Generator!

Hopefully some of what I did here will also help make future new game updates quicker. I will not let Indigo Disk murder me as thoroughly as this has tended to be.

TCoD work is so important to me and I want to be doing it all the time but then stuff like new games happen that has me like oh I guess I need to do this before I do anything else, and it's going to be annoying, and also I really really need to finish this unrelated stuff first before I get into that whole quagmire. I wish for approximately 200 more hours in the day at all times, please.

Well I found this generator that allows you to make a table of your favorite Pokémon of each type for each generation, as well as favorites for other categories, so I thought to do it and I did it in addition to adding a random team that I use in Pokémon Showdown.

I did one of those favorite Pokemon grids. It was pretty rough tbh because i have many favorites for a single thing, and sometimes i don't have a favorite for a type in a gen due to... bad options, we'll say.
