Day 1, Edinburgh Scotland

We ended up going through TSA and customs well before our time so we got McDonald’s for a late lunch. We boarded our first flight to Boston and got through a movie (only an hour and 20 minute flight) to go to our final boarding gate which didn’t board until 9:30 for a take off of 10:02. We ended up eating dinner on the plane which was chicken, salad, cheese and a beverage of choice. We landed and it was the easiest customs we had even been to! Just had to put our passports in and it was done. We stumbled around trying to find Gavin and finally found him up stairs which we couldn’t find upstairs for a solid 10 minutes. We went on a walking tour and then we were off to do our own thing while he went to pick up the next group of people. We ended up walking around and went to a place that was well known to be haunted and was a great pub. We got this amazing cider and a sandwich, Kristin got some a coke and some Mac and cheese. Afterwards we walked back to meet to get our rooms. We are all together with one other girl which is nice but the room is small for 4 people to share a room. After we got refreshed, we wandered around and ended up in the cemetary that was inspired by Harry Potter! We also found the other hot spots around Edinburgh for Harry Potter such as Diagon Alley inspiration and where JK Rawling wrote the books. After we ended going back for our meet up with the group which ended up at an American style restaurant and they ended up bringing out like 5 courses while we got to know other people. We wanted water yet the downstairs lobby didn’t sell it nor did it have it in the vending machine so we walked all the way to Starbucks. We had an amazing first day and can’t wait to see what more is in store!
