Interlocking Arms.
I often do this activity for kids who feel really alone, or kids who say no one loves them. It gives me insight into if that's really true or if they’re just struggling to relay that they feel so disconnected from those they love.
I first have them create themselves with clay. they can do this however they want. I then tell them to create people who will interlock arms with them. Depending on the number of people and who they are can tell you a lot. I’ve had kids to them and their family. I’ve had kids make no one. I’ve had kids make 100 unidentifiable figures because they wished they had someone. You can do this was adults too. don't feel that you need to do this with clay, you can draw it out as well.

When your personal life impacts your work life? Nd God is talking to you while you're facilitating a group? Was having a convo with my homeboy right before group and he said "you can't sow into dead things and reap life." It was still on my mind so I asked my kids what they thought that meant as a check in nd it became the whole grp. Be aware of how you "sow" into your life because what you harvest won't just impact you! Nd if you're living a life choked by weeds, pluck them at the root! #TalkToTheKids #TalkToYourself #TeachableMoments #FindALessonInEverything #ExpressiveTherapist #Clinician #PreachingAndTeachingEvenWhenImNot

If a child's needs are not met in the early years they are likely to develop low self-esteem and to learn to be controlling or manipulative in relationships with others. This can include friendships, family relationships, romantic relationships, school and professional relationships.
