UN ACTE DE RESPIRATION, D’IMAGINATION ET DE RESISTANCE AU DESENCHANTEMENT

Entre la rue de Bourgogne et la rive nord de la Loire, dans la rue de la TOUR NEUVE, la SALLE EIFFEL ne bénéficie pas d’un « plein feu » …mais elle est bien là et sa configuration intérieure favorise l’expression d’une théâtralité généreuse et originale.

Ce double enjeu est ainsi posé et METOPE va assumer un projet GENEREUX et NOVATEUR, dans tous les domaines, de l’artistique à l’économique.

L’artistique, nous y sommes (répétitions, construction de décor …) Le chemin se trace entre respect des artistes et respect de l’œuvre d’un auteur majeur.

Pour l’économique, là comme ailleurs, aujourd’hui, le défi est grand et faire assomption de pauvreté ne sera pas une petite affaire.

Pour un artiste, réussir c’est réussir avec le public, avec sa participation, son soutien, son adhésion.

METOPE lui propose un rendez-vous avec une œuvre remarquable par son exigence formelle, par la profondeur de sa pensée, par l’humanité de son humour qui lui vaut d’afficher un « sourire permanent » entre les lignes. (S. BECKETT écrira : « dire le pire jusqu’à ce qu’il fasse rire »
