#meows#the one levity the characters are allowed to have asside from dedicating their entire lives working for their clan#is whenever they fall in love with the opposite gender outside of their own clan#then the question becomes ‘should i choose my clan or follow my heart :(‘#in either decision they pick they will inevitably continue to serve the clan and the expectation is for them to have children#its a horrid cycle the (female) characters are trapped in#especially when the female characters are punished harder than their male partners (by the authors and the fans!)#not that this is all new info ofc the article that came out just really revealed how the authors view this world that theyve built#the problems of warriors dont stem from outside threats#it is the very nature of their terrible militarized cult of a society#AND THEY DONT REALIZE THAT!!!!!!!
