This morning, I asked the cards "What do I focus on today?" I drew the 9 of Pentacles, the 10 of Pentacles and the 2 of Pentacles from The Wild Unknown Tarot. 🏵 The 9 of Pentacles is a celebration of the abundance that I have in my life. My gaze is drawn to the lines of red and gold in the background as well as the feathers that surround the Pentacles. This card is about the finer things in life but the feathers remind me of comfort and safety. The feathers make me thing of a nest, safe and warm and comfortable. This is a card of comfort. Today, I will focus on the home that I've built around me and the world that I've created. 🏵 The 10 of Pentacles shines like a rainbow. This is a happy and harmonious home and the colours shine. I love that the 10th Pentacle is inside the centre one, again reminding me of safety and comfort, almost as if someone is watching over me. This is the end of a cycle and has to do with family, so I think of everything that I've learned as one cycle ends and a new one begins. I think of everything that I've been taught and all that I've learned. 🏵 The 2 of Pentacles is beautiful and harmonious change. The background is all black and white because the colour has moved within. The rainbow is back, but it's internal. The caterpillar has become the cocoon which has become the butterfly. There is change happening within and I have to welcome it and not fight it. I have to spread my wings and fly and not be afraid to sparkle on. 🏵 I'm also drawn to think of the Pentacles as the body. Clearly there are changes in how I view myself and how I view my body. This morning, I asked the cards "How do I love all of myself in the new year?" I want to set new habits and new intentions for the year ahead. I drew the 10 of Swords, the Queen of Pentacles and the 6 of Pentacles from the Mystic Mondays Tarot. 💖 When I look at the 10 of Swords, it doesn't seem like a happy card. A woman lies on her stomach after being stabbed in the back and blood flows freely. However, I've always seen this card as a positive one. The Swords have everything to do with the mind. I am notoriously hard on myself and hold myself to this ridiculously high standard that I can't possibly reach. The 10 of Swords marks the end of a cycle and the beginning of a new one. When I look at this card, I see the end of negativity and the beginning of a positive way of thinking. ❤ The Queen of Pentacles radiates kindness. She is positivity and light and looks at the world around her with love an affection. She is wise and has garnered everything that she has in her life through hard work, but she shares is willingly as well as offering her wisdom and kindness whenever possible. I will embody these traits. This year has hardened me considerably against kindness towards myself and it's been difficult to be kind to others. I need to remember that kindness starts at home and within. 💛 The 6 of Pentacles shows me a woman who has found her zen. She sits in a meditative pose and the six Pentacles are balanced above her. She has found her balance within after a difficult time and this is reflected within her and around her. When I look at this card, I reminded that balance starts within. To embrace all of my spirit, I have to look for the balance within me, to walk away from what is causing me strife and to embrace calm as much as possible. I am also driven to think about my body when I look at this card and it is asking me to be at peace with who I am and my physical self.
