You wanted to believe it was all in your head, the very apparent car that'd been slowly riding up beside you on the road. It had the standard red flags; headlights off, strangely slow, taking every turn you took.
Choosing to follow your gut, you make a sharp turn into a nearby convenience store for refuge, pretending to look through ramen stashes.
Pulling your phone out, you attempt to call Mingyu, hoping he wasn't already asleep. He answers quick enough, and you immediately begin to spill.
"Can you wait downstairs? Like outside the building or something, I'll only be 5 minutes"
"Okay, yeah. Are you alright?"
"Yes, yes I'm fine it's just-"
"Are you being followed?" he cuts sharply.
You pause for a moment. "I-I think? I don't know, this stupid Sedan's been following me for good five minutes"
"Is it still following you?"
"I'm in the convenience store off the street, I'm not sure."
"Okay, stay there, don't move, I'm coming"
The beep on your phone signals your call is about to end and you warn him.
"I'm gonna have to get off the phone, I'm running out of minutes"
"What the fuck" he huffs, "We need to get you on a postpaid plan, who-"
He doesn't get to finish his sentence when the call dies, and for some reason you start panicking even more, seemingly forgetting he could also call you back. Which he does.
"Okay, I'm rounding the corner give me a minute" he starts talking immediately when the call reconnects and you feel calmer.
"Okay, okay..." you reassure more to yourself.
"Is there a clerk at the store?" he asks.
"Uh yeah there is, they're at the counter"
"Okay, I'm almost there" There's struggle in his voice, you can only assume he's borderline sprinting to get here.
Mingyu finds you pacing the ramen aisle all antsy, ending the call when he finally sets eyes on you.
You let out a sigh of relief when you see him at last, allowing him to engulf you, staying there for a moment or two.
You must look insane, hugging each other for a prolonged period in the middle of a corner store, but you're both too relieved to care.
"Would've slashed the tyres if the ass didn't look like they were still in the car"
Giggling at the thought of Mingyu committing a petty crime, you pull him over and out the door of the store to leave.
As you continue your walk back home, hand in hand, you vaguely notice the familiar black car roll out of the street and out of sight.
"Yeah, that's right, you better fuck off" you hear your boy ramble, not missing the hitting motions he's making at the zooming car.
"Okay, superman, let's go"
"I memorized his number plate, don't worry babe, I'm taking his ass to court"
You can't help but giggle at his passionate advances. "Let's go home, love"

Hello! We're Em (we'll also take Am or M)! We're computerkin, objectum (with a preference for keyboards, laptops, and computer towers), and a system (of about 11, but with a few frequent fliers)!
We're pretty new to the objectum and kin communities; both are things that we've felt for a while, but didn't know there was a term for it until fairly recently! We're really hoping that having a blog specifically to engage with these communities will help us better figure ourselves out!

im gonna lean into more pakistani names bc that's where I'm from but some of these may overlap bc a lot of Pakistani names are also Muslim names so
@rubyreduji to jj I give the name hamza (hum-zah). I've always liked this name it sounds very elegant strong, which fits bc it means strong and steadfast. honestly one of the best boy names in my book lol
@toruro ok mika gives me ammarah (AM-ma-rah) vibes, again this is a name ive always really liked it sounds very regal and sophisticated and something i rlly wanted to be named lol but it means strong faithed but it can mean different things based on pronunciation!!
@glowunderthemoon ok for faye im gonna give her noor-ul-ain (nur-ul-ayen) or (nur-ul-en). its also just noor for short! another very pretty name and a lot of its beauty lies in the meaning, it means light of the eye (noor=light) which really just explains itself lol
@etherealyoungk SKYE GETS zunairah (zun-e-rah), ok this name just reeks of power?? almost?? it sounds like a very strong name to me which is the opposite of what it means, it means flower which basically insinuates that skye is a pretty lil flower but shes also lowk a badass so
@ressonancee Thea and I have only recently started talking but i think i have her name down. i give her hiba (hib-ba) which, very fittingly, means gift. with the way she helped with my cheol fic and basically birthed the idea of hockeyplayer!cheol i think this name truly is for her. also she writes amazing so shes a gift to caratblr in general ksjgnrj
@fairyhaos ok to yena i give the name zayna (zaj-na) which means beauty and grace! the name and the meaning work together really well bc just the sound of the name is very pretty and that's also what it means. also with the half face reveals i have seen of hers she VERY MUCH fits this name so lol
@sluttywoozi Emily and I havent talked much but I'm gonna assign her a name anyway lol. to emily i give alizeh (uh-LEE-ze)which means wind or breeze. another name i LOVE so much its such a hot girl name and i think it fits em very well
@highvern ok cam and i havent interacted much either (hello text me pls) but I'm going to give her gul bano (gul-bah-noh). It means princess of flowers but don't let the meaning fool you, every gul bano I've met is some of the strongest, liveliest women i have ever seen. cam is very fun, super witty and just a joy to see in my notifs so ya there's that hehe
