Where did you get the name ideas for the dinosaur ocs last names?

Scar, Archie, Shana, Judy, and Irwin don't have surnames, but all of the others had theirs taken from their species name. lol Iggy is the one weird one in that regard where her actual surname is also her species name (Iguanodon).

I know Andrew, Elliot, and Dirk are mammals, but I lump them in with the dinosaurs anyway because they're all old fossils, too. LMAO (But scientifically speaking, those three aren't dinosaurs, just ancient mammals.)

Day 16: Elliot

An older man who went to live in the mountains with his best friend in order to study the nearby volcanic activity. He is a pretty powerful fighter. His favorite color is purple!

30/89: Elliot Therium

A prehistoric mammal from 130 million years ago. Moved to the mountains to study the volcanoes with his friend, Andrew, and unofficially adopted Delilah.

More prehistoric boys and girls! No plans for any of them to become revived and join the modern era; but they are going to be heavily involved in an arc set in the distant past. So yeah, they are all canonically dead rn.

So first we have the Pangean Oceans Guard, consisting of Irwin, Kaitlynn, and Yuki. They live in a slightly more advanced civilization under the water and are in charge of protecting their home and keeping those on the Great Continent from drowning. Irwin is the leader of the group and a shonisaurus (a species of ichthyosaur - a prehistoric fish). He takes no shit, but still cares deeply for his teammates. He uses his strength to fight. Kaitlynn is a kronosaurus (a prehistoric crocodile-like animal), and much like her leader, has a very "takes no shit" kind of attitude. She fights with a bronze spear. And Yuki is a futabasaurus (a species of plesiosaur). She's a lot more playful and aloof compared to her teammates, though she still knows how to takes things seriously. She also uses a bronze spear as a weapon. All three of them are wearing pearl bracelets on each limb as a symbol of being in the Guard.

Then we have Andrew and Elliot, two older folks who became a bit concerned about the volcanic activity and went to live in the mountains in order to study the volcanoes. Andrew is an andrewsarchus (a prehistoric wolf-like creature / I literally just split his species name in half for the funnies lol) and Elliot is an elasmotherium (a prehistoric rhino-like animal that was known for being confused as a unicorn). They both have a similar mannerism, not really liking to be bothered, being best described as being the grouchy old neighbors. They're both pretty powerful fighters, though Andrew did still receive an injury from a fight with a dinosaur, resulting in a claw mark across his face. Delilah showed up at some point, not having any family to return to, and decided to stay with and help the two mammals with their research, while also unofficially adopting them both as her "uncles". She's a young deltadromeus with an incredibly bubbly personality, which would get on Andrew's and Elliot's nerves occasionally. Though, since she didn't have anywhere else to go, they felt obligated to care for her and now she's mainly in charge of running down to nearby villages for supplies. She loves her "uncles" very much, and even though neither will admit it, Andrew and Elliot have grown very fond of their "niece" as well.

And that's about all I got on them for the moment.
