This is Ellen Froese, we did a little tour together in Canada recently through Saskatchewan, Alberta and up into Northwest Territories finishing at Folk On The Rocks in Yellowknife which was one of the nicest times ever.
Ellen played her song 'I Wish I Had a Foot-Long Cigarette' at every show and it was stuck in my head the whole time so I decided to record a little version of it to try get it out of my head but it is still stuck in my head most days.
I was travelling pretty light and ended up recording each part through my phone as a voice memo - guitar, vocals, harmonica and a slightly out of tune piano...

i blinked.
but also a pretty accurate portrayal of my face right now.
i have spent the last two days in canadian airports dealing with returned/delayed/rescheduled/cancelled flights and was 99% sure i would not make it to the first show in saskatoon tonight....
but by some miracle i got an extreme last minute seat and just arrived now and am so ready for these shows with Ellen Froese starting tonight ✨
