This may be the first time I have been this disappointed with a Pokemon evolution line. When they announced Quaxly as a starter Water Type, I honestly thought they would draw from Quetzalcoatl. They could have had a really cool storm dragon line that drew out the imagination in the same way Charizard did, even if it couldn't be a dragon type. And they still could have done the peacock as the region bird akin to Pidgey, Spearow, or Doduo. So yeah, I took today's prompt as a chance to vent. Tomorrow it's back to the team for me.

Duke's father. The drake knows very little about his father, due to him not being able to be around when he was growing up. Though he knows his mother loved him, and kept his secrets about his life from everyone, including her own son. He knows he was a part of the Brotherhood of the Blade, and died protecting their leader at the time. He knew of Duke, and sent money when he could to support his secret family. In a letter Duke found, his father hoped he wouldn't follow in his footsteps and turn to hockey instead. However, a teen Duke by this point had already begin honing his skills in stealth and sleight of hand, and then finally ran away to be the thief he felt he was born to be. Though Duke swore he would make his own style, and wouldn't make the same mistakes by having a family to miss him like he had missed someone he could never meet.

Duke only knows this drake by the last name they share.
