So there have been some recent policy changes to marijuana by the feds. It appears as though the DEA is going to push for marijuana to be reclassified as a schedule 3 from a schedule 1 drug.

On the upside, any shift towards legalization is a good thing. This policy definitely reflects that. On the downside, it doesn't really change much.

This policy is really going to affect federal law. The reality is that the feds have not really been aggressively prosecuting marijuana cases. On the other hand, they are still happy to investigate and arrest individuals, they just let the State prosecute them.

This brings us to the bigger problem. This policy does nothing to affect how the states classify marijuana. My guess is that we will see a few more states move to full legalization before the feds remove it as a controlled substance altogether.

Artificial instability for the creation of an exploitable workforce, conspiricy

TLDR: the US creates instability in foreign countries which both forces immigration and simultaneously creates an association with people of that area and violence. These factors together create a dehumanized workforce which is easily exploitable due to negative public image. Similar to the 1600-1700 use of "madhouses" in Europe, or the prison system in the us

Was reading madness and civilization and a segment on how the cover of madness was used to justify the exploitation of labor in marginalized groups, and it got me thinking about how the us prison system was the exact same, an excuse to disenfranchise a large group of people for the sake of free labor. Which in turn lead me to this line of thinking.

The United States interference or didtabilization of democracy is not only for the sake of oil and profit in that way. But is also a way to gain an immigrant workforce while simultaneously disenfranchising/ dehumanizing/  and branding that group in order to easily exploit them.

For example the us interference and "drugwar" in Latin America created instability forcing immigration by manufacturing chaos while also using media to portray Latin America as an unsafe and violent place, creating a public association between Latin American and crime/violence this negative association is then furthered by politics which further paint Latin Americans as bad or evil which allows for strict anti immigration laws and in turn makes it more difficult for migrant workers to advocate for there rights due to there sundered public image and fear of banishment.

I think the same thing is clearly happening in the middle east, the US created artificial instability leading to a retaliation which the US in turn used to brand middle eastern people as anti American or terrorist (making exploitation easier while forcing immigration
