     City lights brightened the dark night sky, nearly painting away the indigo canvas with white and yellow lights. The lit streets were covered in splashes of neon pinks, greens, and blues as club and bar signs flickered on and the party-goers and their tag alongs hit the streets. Further away from the central part the city the lights started to dim, the night sky reclaiming its domain as the real creatures of the night slithered out from their hiding holes to find unsuspecting prey or bribe one another with the latest items the black market had to sell. 

     Faye remained on the border of these two sides of the coin, watching and waiting for her target. In truth, she was a bit more nervous than usual. The clan that had hired her had been kind enough to warn her that previous assassination attempts had been tried and all failed which meant he was not only skilled but well aware of his enemies. Getting the jump on him would be difficult if possible but she’d been in this line of work long enough to know how to handle herself and how to retreat if the situation called for it. 

     She’d been following the rogue Shimada for a while and had predicted he’d be coming through this area on his travel. Where he was going or what he had planned she wasn’t certain. But it’d be made soon enough. She had been perched in a half constructed building, tarps still hanging down in places, awaiting any sign for him when she felt it. 

     He hadn’t made a sound but her natural instinct and intuition was highly honed. In an instant, she had unsheathed the two blades she had at her sides and rolled out of the way of any shots he may have tried firing before turning to face him, a smile spreading across her face. 

          “I see why you’re still alive. How long have you known I’ve been followin’ you?” She inquired.

          A half-distracted hum answers his inquiry, though she spares a moment to peer up at him with a faint grin. She rarely messes with her teammates — it’s never been her style. But sometimes (rarely) she feels the need to. And while he makes it amusing, she’s never afraid that he’ll react too terribly.

         He only proves that thought correct when his only “revenge” for her actions is a hand over her eyes. Even so, a distressed squeal escapes her as she desperately reaches for the pause button. 「 Jae! Cut it out! 」 she whines, half-clawing at the hand over her eyes.

not often does she travel to korea, only for an in-and-out job that was easy enough to do. perhaps that’s why she ended up remaining there a while longer, to actually take in the sights that surrounded her. though johanne’s korean was made up of the simpler phrases, she still managed to get around luckily enough thanks to the small group of university students that directed her to a nearby diner. 

over dinner, she overheard a pair of people whose conversation she was able to loosely translate ‘street race’ and an address she was able to look-up on her phone. lightly tapping her chopsticks to her lips in thought, the mercenary debated whether or not to go watch or see if she could participate with her motorcycle.

✿ RP PET PEEVES/DEALBREAKERS: Rushing me to respond or guilting me about not immediately responding to DMs. Another and this only happened a handful of times around the 2016 OW RP era but getting pressed when a character is being portrayed in a way you don't like?? Not even talking about duplicate jealousy just in general. We are here to write and have fun, chill. LUCKILY this stuff has not been carried into the current RP space.

✿ fluff, angst or smut: Fluff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I adore fluff so much especially domestic type of settings. Romantic, platonic it don't matter... I'm lov. That being said angst is also good!! I can provide some angst but I do consume the fluff HCs of characters like the Cookie Monster at a Chips Ahoy factory. Smut as of right now... Not really. I can make NSFW HCs but writing it is... Weh.

✿ plots or memes: Both!! I love sending and receiving memes and I love plotting with people!!

✿ long or short replies: Long replies because they feed my lizard brain, but I do love me some short replies because......... They are easier for said lizard brain.

...But this time, he held his tongue. Never had he seen her like this-- a woman so strong, always filled with vigor and zealous determination -- now drenched, wounded and defeated. Plus her coming to him of all people was a clear sign that something was off.

“Somehow I find that hard to believe...” While his words were rather matter-of-fact, his tone was soft, laced with genuine concern. On that account, he invited her in without a second thought. “There’s a medkit in here. I will fetch some towels. Rest a while.”

Another old RP buddy! Ignis is also from way back when I started roleplaying here. Already from the start, back then, Ignis and Maddy just got along really well! I personally really like the fact that Igni’s past is rooted in the Yakuza and that he’s married and have two kids. back then, I believe he was a single father with just his daughter. Maddy and Ignis are old friends, like, really old friends, and they have seen a lot together plus done a lot together. While Maddy is very youthful for her age, Ignis is like an old granddad despite being around the same age as her, which never stops cracking me up. Also, have a low key joke of calling him Bone Daddy, but that’s another story. The mod is hilarious! They’re always sending me memes and stupid shit we can laugh about together and I really love how I can just kick back and talk about video games with them! Plus, the mod is super easy going and chill :D

Maddy’s boss and a woman Maddy looks up too, in more than one way. Fredda is... okay! Fredda is fucking AH-MA-ZING! I can never get enough of that woman and I fucking love how Fredda is teaching Maddy to be a maneater! The powerhouse that is this woman just floor Maddy and I will say that Maddy’s bisexuality is showing for this woman, plus she’s a gorgeous lady with a killer attitude (literally). I am looking forward to when/if Fredda returns since I am really excited to start some roleplaying between Maddy and her! The mod is a peach. Sweet, adorable, so creative when it comes to writing and hilarious too. Yes, people who make me laugh always get a point in my book. I love laughing. The way she describes Fredda and shares information about her is wonderful because I get to see sides of Fredda I have not seen before! The fact that they spent so much time fleshing her out and really making her seem like a tangible character is just *chef kiss*!

Maddy’s dad nr. 2. This is pretty much her stand-in dad and mentor during her time at Teufort. The first time they interacted together it just felt like it was the natural development between them, of Johannes becoming kind of a guardian angel over Maddy. Their relationship is wholesome, fluffy and warm and it makes me feel squishy! Maddy adores Johannes and would do everything she can to help him, and she is very thankful for having someone, on base, who is small as she is. Granted, he’s 5′4′, but still in the small end! Maddy looks up to the man and she values everything he has taught her during her training period at Teufort. Maddy is also very protective of Johannes, despite him being much older than her and a veteran, but I guess it comes from the fact that he’s got some vibes that reminds her of her father, whenever she’s around him. Another one of those mod’s where I am just super happy I met them! They’re sweet, easy to talk to and they gave me the perfect headcanon for Maddy, involving glitter and confetti. Maddy’s got a problem with both of them. If it’s there she WILL interact with it and she WILL spread it everywhere! In general, I highly recommend following this character and this mod and they deserve some love and attention. ALL the people I mention deserve it! :D
