They are illegal in most states, smell like skunk and cat pee, need lined top and bottom enclosures, specialized vets, expensive food with a raw diet, and like all exotics are nearly always impossible to rehome. No, in general foxes do not like to cuddle or be held at all or very often. They are not domestic in the same way cats or dogs are, they are more so tame and learn to tolerate people. Even the Russian ones are not exactly like dogs. Domestic house cats aren't even fully domesticated, they just learned to live with us. Exotic animals are a huge responsibility and most people cannot even properly care for their domestic cats and dogs. #yesiamgoingtopostthiseverydamntimeitsimportant

That would be pretty cool, but I'm not sure how on board Kay would be with that. She's stated before that she got a fox to have a fox and because she loves everything about foxes (even the weird stuff that pisses most people off, same as I love the weird things parrots do). She didn't get a fox to have a cool-looking creature that does tricks.

That said, it might be fun for Anya. The training serves to get her brain going. She's actively thinking about you and your words. The month prior to that video, Kay was focusing mostly on making sure she was comfortable in multiple situations and wouldn't be shy about things like having her feet touched, being mouthy, or strange men walk by (there's few male researchers at the Institute of Cytology and Genetics, very tall men make Anya anxious). She's like a hyperactive collie puppy right now and it would take a little while before she'd be able to handle a movie set, I imagine.

THIS SAID, Kay DID mention to me that the first time she met Anya, she bundled up the fox on her lap and they went for a tractor ride. New person, new thing, new environment and completely new ideas and she was the happiest, cheeriest little foxling you could dream for.

Very different than the wild specimen, by far. I know most dogs would be unhappy to the point of biting about that kind of thing.

So really, it would be up to Kay based on what Kay is comfortable with. Anya is her babby.
