My brain is split in two between “SUZY IS SO GAY-DISASTER” and “Isabel and Dimitri’s dynamic is enough to make me animalistic”. Because, holy crap, I can’t believe how much these kids are going through it. Isabel’s “I miss you” gets me every time I reread it. I can’t get over Isabel and Dimitri. I just can’t get over them.

On the other hand: Suzy crush moments. Everybody say thank you gay people

I feel like theres something in the way dimitri danger functions as a ghost in the narrative of paranatural, not just him being a premature birth (and canonically the only character who became a spectral through a near death experience, that we know of so far at least) but the guilt isaac feels about everything that happened and the way it hangs heavy over the activity club, i think everyone takes a little bit of that blame for themselves, actually. The presence of that history is felt by the audience long before we learn literally anything, and the more that we learn about him the more that passive role that hes had to take on comes to the forefront, of the guilt and of always being there but not really. You cant be a burden if you reduce yourself to only an apparition, but you also become so much more because of that

i just keep thinking about this and the implications of all of this. has peekaboo also been there since the beginning? dimitri's definitely had it for a long time, but he doesn't look like he has any physical signs of being possessed, so does that mean he isn't? or is it a different kind of spirit?

i wonder if peekaboo is maybe something specific to dimitri. like some part of him didn't quite make it but it still attached itself to him.

on my nth reread of paranatural and realized something I haven't seen mentioned (altho I'm sure its probably been mentioned by SOMEONE). dimitri's family is moving out of town, right? but dimitri can't get past the barrier without the ghost train... and since he's no longer with the activity club, he doesn't know that the ghost train is currently out of commission. so my question is... how will he get out? will he be trapped inside while his family leaves? how will this be explained to his family? where will he stay instead? many questions
