i have created an au, I may also be considering making an ask blog for this au lmao but--

So, you could call this a steven universe and eddsworld crossover au? Kind of anyway. Just go through the explanation and you'll find out.

But this is called the Diamond Au.

Designs:

Plot:

On a normal day like any other, Matt had heard of a place called The Moon River. The Moon River was said to be able to only bring 10 wishes true on a full moon, and could grant them to any amount of people. He told this to the others, and of course, they didn't believe him one bit. But of course, they somehow get roped into going anyway, because why not.

Upon arriving their, to their surprise, they discovered it was in fact real. The River then began to speak to them, and told them what it could and could not do. It said it could not bring people back from the dead, and nor could it grant anymore then 10 wishes. But one of its rules was that they could not be around eachother when wishing, so they decided to seperate themselves from eachother when wishing. They decided to take turns as well.

So, here's what they wished for.

1. Edd wished to be seen as flawless, perfect even. He may not have shown it, but he really craved praise. The praise for his art wasn't enough, it seemed.

2. Tom wished for strength, to be stronger than anyone else on the planet earth.

3. Matt wished for him and his friends not to be able to age. Because of course he did.

4. Tord wished for more respect towards him.

5. Edd wished for the power of creation. You can probably see the cogs turning in his head now.

6. Tom wished to be intimidating, to be seen as imposing and scary towards others.

7. Matt wished to be able to travel to space. Because he's Matt, and let's be honest, of course he was gonna wish for this.

8. Tord wished for power, for all of them to have some kind of one anyway.

9. Edd wished to have something of his own to rule over, with his friends of course. The cogs are turning a lot now.

10. The final wish. Tom wished for him to be more powerful than Tord out of spite.

The river then granted them what they wished for, even if they didn't exactly feel it in the moment. But they knew it came true the moment Edd brought something to fucking life(some random pebble on the ground.). Edd then suggested a crazy idea. For them to go to space(since they were able to due to Matt), and rule over a planet of their own. The others were a little weirded out by this idea, but decided to go with it. Tord was more weirded out though, and a bit creeped out too since some gut feeling in him told him this was going to turn out.. horrible.

So with the logic of cartoons and shit, they made(forced) Tord to build a spaceship. He did so, and of course, they peaced the fuck outta there.

So, they began to create life on this little planet far out in space that they dubbed "Homeworld". Naming their subjects after gemstones(because of Matt), creating technology and culture, and most of all- they became the races leaders. The little creatures they created began to call them "The Diamonds". The others were weirded out by this weird title they gave them, but not Edd. In fact, he loved it. So he decided against their will that they would all rename themselves. And he decided since they were the diamonds, why not give themselves a gem as well? So he made the gems build him and the others their own special little gems. Upon being given these gems, they were given new forms as well. (Also, due to the gem thing, they can now be shattered as well. The only thing holding them together is their gem, so if it's shattered, they will dissappear like their creations.)

Due to all the praise the gems gave him, Edds ego began to build up. Causing him to believe that he couldn't have a flaw, he was perfect after all, wasn't he? (Edd decided he'd be white diamond because white is a perfect color or some bullshit, so while he used to be green diamond, upon being given the gem that was white- all of his color had practically been sucked out of him.)

He believed that it didn't matter if he decided things for people, because he was the almighty and perfect Diamond that the gems adored. He wasn't being rude, he just made things better, right?

Edds gradual descent into insanity began to take a toll on the others. Tom became more invested in his work, and developed a hatred for Edd he would never speak about. Edd had made Matt cry so much it literally manifested him a power, which was he reverse empathy power. Tord was seemingly the more normal one out of the group, but the way Edd was behaving still took a mental effect on him.

Tom and Matt knew Edd was well.. not going down so well, but were too afraid to say anything. So they kept attending to their duties. But, seemingly, Tord was the only one who wasn't afraid of calling Edd out on his bullshit. But anytime he did, he was locked away in a tower. Edd mostly ordered Tom and Matt to do so anyway. Edd constantly treated him like a child, not regarding how he felt about anything because he "didn't know anything".

Tord would understandably get upset because of this, and lash out like a brat sometimes. Tord and Matt did become close on the bright side, so I guess that's the one good thing about this-

They decided they wanted their own personal servants, and out of spite, Edd demanded his gems to go back to earth and kidnap both Jon and Mark. The gems performed some kind of surgery on the both of them which made them not listen. After a while, Edd decided to send them back to capture Eduardo. He thought about making him his servant, but decided he was too perfect to deal with his nonsense, so he made Tord have him instead.

But everything changed when the others began to have colonies of their own, Tord didn't have one so he repeatedly began to plead for one of his own, but to no avail. Each time they just said no or locked him in the tower again. But one time, during one of his pleads, Tord lashed out a lot more than he should have. And ended up hurting Eduardo. Disappointed by Tords behavior, Tom and Matt took away Eduardo and gave him to Edd. Edd of course "made him better", because hes.. a not very nice person.

Matt gave Tord Eduardo back as a gift, cause he noticed how sad he looked and he figured why not be nice. This Eduardo(he is not actually Eduardo, Edd is still punishing the real one so he ordered the gems to make just a cloned version of him) seemed way more advanced though, not being "defective" like the previous one.

This just made Tord even more sad, because no matter how hard he tried to have fun with him, he never listened nor acted on it. Or just took it literally.

Tom noticed Tord was more sad, and mistook it as him wanting a playmate. So he made Spinel for him, and a little garden seperate from Homeworld where they could play for however long they desired. Of course, Tom and Matt finally gave Tord a colony, Tord abandoned Spinel and all that jazz.

Tord one day, found a picture while sneaking around the palace inside of somewhere that Edd had owned. It was a picture of how they all used to look beforehand, well, Tord assumed that. It seemed with the thousands of years of being gone from earth, his memories of how he and the others used to look went away as well. Matt found Tord and the picture, and decided to take Tord out of there cause even though he didn't seem to recognize himself(cuz he's stupid still) or the others, he figured Edd would get mad if he found them both.

Taking note of that, he went back to his business.

However, Tord began to develop an appreciation for earth due to how much he missed it. And he began to notice how the colonization was destroying it, bit by bit. He tried to plead to preserve life on the planet, which Matt only made a zoo in response. He did everything he could, but his status meant nothing to Tom and Matt.

So he decided to take a stand, as someone they couldn't ignore. Taking the picture he had found in that area, he tried his best to copy how he used to look, with the knowledge that the others most likely didn't know about how they used to look. And took on a new persona; "Red Quartz."

Coming up with the false info that "he" only looked that way because Tord made him and didn't tell anyone else, Tord took on his double life perfectly. Staging attacks without once getting recognized, speaking directly to the others without even being recognized by them. He was in a good position, and he knew it.

Until, he faked his death.

When he faked his death, or "shattering", this brought the others to devastation. Tom tried to comfort Matt but try to move on from it completely at the same time, Matt became depressed, and Edd tried to ignore it completely. After all, if he was sad, he would be flawed. (Fun fact; out of thinking he wouldn't be perfect with emotions, Edd gave each of his emotions to the others. He gave Tom his anger. He gave Matt his sadness, and gave Tord his joy. Of course, they still felt other emotions, however the one emotion they had been given would be more intense.)

Then of course, when getting on Earth, as safe as can be- the corruption happens, blah blah blah. He falls in love with a human named Eleanor(whom I will make a design for later on), and loves her enough to the point where he wants to have a child with her. But with the diamond still in him, he physically couldn't. So, he had offered to give up his physical form for the child once it had arrived. The others begged him not to do this, but he didn't listen.

And of course, Steven is born, and looks different obviously for this au but I'll make a design for him later.

Now moving onto the facts-

Fact 1: Each of the diamond main 4 have their own aura. Edd has an aura that basically makes people uncomfortable and more prone to fear. Tom has an aura that intimidates and makes people for prone to anger. Matt has an aura that makes people more sad, and more prone to crying. And Tord had an aura that would soothe people, bring them joy.

Fact 2: Edd is 6'3, Tom is 6'0, Matt is 5'9, and Tord is 5'5 in this au.

Fact 3: The scars on Matt's face were an injury that Edd had caused. He also does have eyebags, I just forgot to add them when making his design.

Fact 4: I may be considering making this a comic series, so keep that in mind.

Fact 5: All of them have a mix of their original personalities and the diamond that they are playing the part of here. For example, Edd has some of his own traits he has in Eddsworld, but has White Diamonds traits as well.

Fact 6: Instead of "Starlight", Edd calls Tord "My Little Death Star".
