Diablo 4 - A Team to Fight For!

I'm sorry, in games I just need a cause to get behind. Whether it the good old "Nuke bad guys, Save the world" or "Help your home town bloom", whatever, there's gotta be something! So what was I to do when my choices in D4 were:

Insane narcissist beech who murders/sacrifices/drives crazy everyone who comes into contact with her on her crusade to win an unwinable war.

Insane narcissist megalomaniac who used to be the biggest hero around but because of grimdark we can't have nice things, and now he just wants to murder everyone to right a wrong.

Two and a half Horadrim who just barely pull their asses together in time to save the world.

A neglected petri dish of a world that seriously needs some extra saturation in its color palette, and a deep scrubbing with the latest technology called BAR SOAP.

Well, once again, just like back in Diablo 3, in comes the one and only, the most honest thief of all of Sanctuary, Lyndon himself to save the day! And with that, armed with the unshakeable goal to protect Lyndon and his town of thieves, Backwater, I was ready to take on all of the Hells and win! Eat shit, Lilith, Lyndon destroyed your plans just by existing and inspiring me!

Lilith had brought a prisoner. As she touched, examined the dimming light of the Angel, she was startled by the rattling of chains. The Angel upon waking started to rave like a madman about how he wished to escape the eternal conflict. 

My take on Diablo since playing this version is that... it's way different than Diablo 3. Play style is similar but the mechanics of the game are really different. Much more complex and complicated. I don't love the new skill-tree system and I feel like the Rogue has to have incredible armor to make up for how clunky she plays. I noticed when fighting bosses that the rapid fire isn't very rapid (before anyone asks I buffed that skill to the max possible). It's very slow, in fact. And I don't know if that's because I'm doing 2-player or what. The game is a tad glitchy to me. There were too many times in boss fights my damn rogue would be facing the wrong direction firing at nothing, which is ridiculous in a fight where you have 6-7 monsters on you. You basically have to use the evasive attacks which aren't my favorite. The vault having a cool down really annoys me. I did choose the harder play style but I didn't think it would be a problem since I've literally played D3 a million times. The story is a lot like D3, but there are a LOT of talking cut scenes. It's not terrible or anything but can make getting through the game a bit long-winded.

Overall I like it, it's a beautiful game but I guess I'll have to play all the way through and beat it before I decide if I want to continue playing a Rogue. I loved the Demon Hunter.

I wanted to try a blend of some wall art I have used over the last few months to compliment the new runes. I'll make a variant for Inarius later this month when work isnt eating up my time. In a couple of weeks (as of writing/posting this June 12th) I will be celebrating 15 years making wallpapers for all of you to enjoy. It's been a wild ride with many full circles.
