Very wild seeing a local tattoo shop employ a blatant white supremacist who has literal white supremacist symbols and dog whistles ALL over his tattoo Instagram and the shop have like poc in their gallery pics having gotten piercings and tats there. So anyway, if you're ever in the DFW area of Texas trying to get tatted or pierced don't fucking go to Randy Adams Tattoo Studio

It’s well past midnight but as always, Pixie is brainrot and I can’t sleep so.

Just the parallels of her first and last deployments outside of the ‘main timeline’; of 2009 and 2017, as well as the differences. Well, mostly the differences I guess.

Specifically the fact that well, that first deployment she went on in 2009? She was an undertrained reservist with no preparation for an active duty deployment, let alone for flat out getting captured like she did, or losing some of the people closest to her.

But in 2017? She did everything she possibly could to prepare herself to prevent the worst from happening again; she made sure she got whatever training she possibly could, turned herself into the best soldier she could become. And it still wasn’t enough. She trusted her Captain, and in the end that was the biggest mistake she could’ve made, the mistake that destroyed her life in one way or another.

The exact repercussions and how they compare to 2009 vary, but that’s the basis, and probably the closest one to the DFW aftershocks, with the addition of the fact she wanted to live, she was almost at the point of toying with the idea of finishing her contract and going into the reserves or national guard and just settling down with her daughter. But she couldn’t even re-enter civilian society without her family being killed as a warning to her for a ‘crime’ she didn’t even know she was committing, by a perpetrator she could only guess the identity of.

And Phoenix? Despite not remembering anything prior to that deployment, it has the parallel of an unwilling rebirth she’s since embraced. Pixie always considered the recent college grad she used to be as having died in 2009 (a belief that persists across AUs) and Phoenix? It’s a similar case. In embracing her ‘rebirth’, she whole-heartedly considers ‘Pixie’ as dead, Phoenix’s body a reclaimed corpse.

And then there’s the caveat of her taking inspiration from the ‘memorial’ Pixie got in the form of the phoenix tattoo on her arm as an attempt to heal for a proper name post-amnesia. A gift from the so-called dead woman, so to speak.

Just. I love this woman so much and I love the implications of the timeline sometimes.

Love a nosey best friend, I have a very very nosey best friend and she's just the best. I love over-protective anybody, siblings, best friends.

I love tattoos and have several myself so maybe she has a couple? That's up to you, but I do have several and I adore tattoos in general!

My favorites hmmm.. I just read The Tattooist of Auschwitz and it was absolutely amazing. So good, highly recommend.

Tv series - Criminal Minds or Friends!

If I'm being honest I'm still trying to get into sports but I really only watch teams that I have some kind of connection to. I live in DFW so I've been watching the Texas Rangers, Stars are my main boys but I also love the Avs. I prefer college football to professional bc of college marching bands so I usually cheer for Baylor (bc I was in their band).

As for songs, my music preferences change very quickly. I love Showtunes (y'know like broadway musical stuff, Hamilton, Newsies, Tick Tick Boom), I really love the band We Three, Arrows in Action. I'm also a big fan of Journey and Bowling For Soup, Paramore, The Killers. It's all over the place.
