New Rain Code OC just dropped, (info subject to change!)
Name: Soul Eis
Forensic Forte: Memory Perception
Soul can peer into the memories of people from a first person perspective. Soul can also view the dead’s memories, but the amount of time he can view decreases the longer the victim has been dead ; 24 hours after death, Soul can no longer view the memories. Soul has to physically touch the person to see their memories, even if it's just a bump in the shoulder or a poke on the cheek (he has to consciously choose someone to see their memories).
About:
Part of a group of rogue master detectives who are ex-members of the WDO. All of them have either left of their own accord or have been kicked out.
Soul left the organization due to not agreeing with their principles or how they operate.
The ex-members of the WDO end up joining a detective agency affiliated with Amaterasu Corporation (hence why the badge is a combo of the WDO and Amaterasu logos)
The agency is there so that Amaterasu can say “we don’t need the WDO’s detectives, we have our own capable ones.
Soul doesn’t necessarily agree with Amaterasu’s principles either, but says he would rather perish than be associated with the WDO.
Childhood friends with Luna Luckytune
Was still on the quiet side as a child, but was more optimistic. He has since grown jaded and anti-social. Does have a sense of care for his other members however.
Will I actually bother drawing all of the ex-WDO detectives....we'll see...
“[...] as long as ignorance and misery live on earth, books such as this one could possibly not be useless”
—Victor Hugo, preface of “Les Misérables”
i had this oc in my head for quite some time and i reaaaally wanted to draw him
i have an undying love for hugo's works, he is a genius, and i'm a hopeless romantic soul so yes, if i had to design a bsd oc, it had to be victor hugo
some facts about him :
—it absolutely doesn't show on this drawing but he's an ENFP
—he's a temporary member of the ADA after yosano met him in the street. he was fighting with his ability and screaming about justice
—he was basically kinda homeless before joining the ADA, but didn't really mind it, he met people and slept here and there and he liked it
—he just got his literature diploma in france and decided to go explore new countries in order to learn other cultures but he's super messy and chaotic and super super broke
—random fact about his design, i absolutely wanted to give him a gavroche in reference of a hugo's character, gavroche, that died fighting for his rights and his liberty
—kunikida's gonna question his whole sexuality and life plans and feelings when they meet for the first time
—yep, babe's gonna panic when he realizes he's in love with the french anarchist
—dazai is the first to notice (of fucking course) and proceeds to both annoy him and help him processing it
—victor's ability allows him to create a space where violence is prohibited. absolutely nobody can get hurt nor hurt anybody, the only thing allowed is talking. victor chooses who can enter and leave this space
—he is the embodiment of empathy and generosity (that's also why he's broke), he is a very sensitive soul that just wanna see inequalities and violence burn in the hell fire
—he's a huge fan of muse, cavetown and renaud
—fun fact, nobody understands a word when he's listening to renaud's songs and just assume he's relaxing but the lyrics are actually the most angry and anarchist and anti capitalist and rude lyrics you've ever heard
i could say so much more and i want to think about him even more but i'll stop there. anyway, i have some more wip of him on photoshop so i'll post about him again pretty soon (﹡ˆ﹀ˆ﹡)
I know nobody cares but here they are Davies&Carter agency of investigation.
These are my OCs John Davies and Alan Carter, they used to be in the police but not anymore, they opened their own agency and became private investigators.
I will probably never finish their book but I love drawing them.
ada + catching a (very particular) thief
- the guy of the hour is @artnazoy's oc
He was close; Atsushi could feel it.
Transforming wasn’t needed to make use of his tiger senses, and despite not being entirely familiar with the suspect’s smell, hearing hurried steps coming into a halt and heavy panting told him everything he needed to know. Well, he wasn’t technically a suspect since Hiraide Takashi had been proven effectively guilty of all those robberies along with some other crimes, but still.
Atsushi waited for a moment, only until he could sense both Kunikida and Kyôka’s scent close by. Then, after making sure his back was covered, he took a couple of steps back to gain momentum and revealed his presence by launching himself against the man.
“Hiraide-san, you’re going to be arrested.” After a bit of a struggle, Atsushi managed to immobilize him, still without transforming.
Damn, training with Kunikida was indeed paying off. Not like he had doubted, though.
“That’s what you think, kid!” Hiraide wasn’t anymore able to break free from his hold as he was thirty seconds ago, but he could grab Atsushi’s wrist without doing so. At the same time, light started surrounding them both…
… and nothing seemed to change, either in Atsushi or their surroundings.
“So… it’s something supposed to happen… or…?” Any worries he might have at first turned quickly into plain awkwardness. Meanwhile, the thief’s face was starting to have the most evident shock drawn all over it.
“Why? It’s worked with everyone so far! It even worked with that soldier from–”
“Your ability turns people into cats, right.” Kunikida asked, as he and Kyôka finally entered the scene.
“Yeah, and your point is…?” Hiraide asked, making Kyôka snicker for a second.
“You cannot turn a cat into a cat, it seems.” She shrugged, pointing her knife towards the now captured man.
“I’m a tiger, not a housecat, c’mon.” Atsushi rolled his eyes, even when he wasn’t really mad about the comment. Quite the opposite; he was used to it at that point, and complaining was more force of habit than anything.
Besides, tigers were indeed big cats. And since that ability had no effect on him… well, there was no point in arguing either.
Layton Mystery Detective Agency may have not been the best, but episode 5 gave us a story of two star crossed gay lovers who are both over the age of 50 so... 🤷
