I made her up for Disenchantment and she is less fucked up than Felicity (bc she’s a kinder person lol) but she is “cursed” in a way! Well, not necessarily but she finds out that before she was born, her parents so desperately wanted a child that they turned to a sorceress for help. She gave them a baby gosling to care for as if it were their own, and if they could give it the love they proclaimed they would have for their unborn child, she would grant them a baby of their own. Far be it from them to question a witch, they care for the gosling & the day finally comes when they find out if they’ve done well enough to be granted said wish.

The sorceress tells them they’ve done well, says she will perform the spell bring them their baby & takes back the baby bird, preparing to cut its throat as it is a spell ingredient. The king & Queen are horrified as they’re truly grown attached to the creature & demand she let it be, even if it means they won’t be granted their promised child. The witch, with a knowing look, happily returns the gosling to its parents, but not before transforming it into a baby girl with her father’s eyes and her mother’s hair.

Cecily finds this out as a young adult and is absolutely mortified… Mostly bc she finds out by being turned back into a goose and while trying to sort out the mishap, she finds out this is her true form. She’s always thought she was a genuine and “normal” person stuck in a kingdom full of weirdos and her love interest is just as ridiculous & absurd, so finding this out about herself really throws her for a loop & makes her question everything she through she knew about herself up until this point.

She’s eventually able to return to her human form, though her love interest also reverts back to the form of a pig that he’s been stuck in lol but she’s grown as a person, learned to be less judgmental and hard on others and herself. Her parent’s overprotective nature is also recontextualized and she’s able to recognize that she is still loved, despite not being naturally born or really “human”, whatever that means 🥰

one time I saw someone say that they instinctually had a negative opinion of Jerma(985) since dream antis tend to like him so much** and as a major jerma fan (like I've been subbed to him on twitch for a year) I was quite distraught/annoyed over that

however I think I get it now because the idea of watching/discussing sandman (despite how much I'm know I should enjoy it) just leaves a bad taste in my mouth because I can only associate it with all those obnoxious people making posts about 'dream' and then being like "NO omggg not the homophobic and racist one the actually gay one hahaha 😂"

**(btw afaik jerma's never said a word about dream to the point where you could believe he didn't even know he existed. I could be wrong but he's seriously not a drama guy and also like a full-blown adult so I'm inclined to trust him)

BLCD Review: Koi wo Suru Tsumori Nakatta

Review Proper

Don’t get me wrong. It wasn’t bad, but the secondhand embarrassment was too much. This is even worse than when I first met A-san. At least we were on a date oml hahaha. “A sloppy, happy love story between a handsome college student playing the game of love the easy way, and a working adult who has yet to know what love is”? More like “awkward, awkward, awkward”! This easily my least favorite of SuzuMinta’s works, but I do understand that awkward reality was what SuzuMinta was going for, and she be bringing in that realness alright. 😂  I just pray that no one ever experiences this kind of...embarrassment in their lives. I mean, being true to your self is a good thing, but please be conscious enough not to ask someone to sleep with you esp when there’s no mood whatsoever. 😂

As for the voice work, I was quite surprised that they got both of the Takuyas to do this because I thought that they’d pick VAs with higher pitches than them. However, now that I’ve listened to the BLCD, I don’t think that they can be voiced by anyone else. Yoshino kind of reminds me of Fruits, Gateau’s Yonekura-san, so I was ecstatic when SatoTaku used something close to Yamanaka Masahiro’s portrayal of him. Despite how I absolutely dislike his character, I think that this is one of my favorite performances of his because there were many times that I even forgot that he was voicing Yoshino. 👏👏👏

Egu, on the other hand, did spectacular here! I’m so sorry for ever doubting him.  😂 I mean, if you’re playing opposite someone like SatoTaku, then you better bring your A-game on because he tends to swallow his co-stars up when they’re not careful (i.e. Fuck Buddy). He had great chemistry with SatoTaku here and it reminds me of how Makonyan’s chemistry with the man was. I did have an issue with the last few dialogues of the last track though. I’m pretty sure that that was an adlib because it was like he just thought about saying it then and there and it came out a little bad. 

Speaking of bad acting, what the heck was that old man impression??? HAHAHAHA. You can’t fool me, Takahashi Shinya-san. 😂 I guess he’s just more comfortable with lower pitched characters like Dennis-san in Durarara, but he sounded good as his higher pitched William in Remnant, though.

This was a pretty good adaptation over all and it stuck closely to the manga, so reading it along is possible. If you’re a fan of the series or are just in for something light, then I would definitely recommend giving this a listen. Plus, the dialogue isn’t so hard, so this would be a good practice BLCD for beginners. The manga has since been licensed in English by futekiya and I’m certain that more of her works will soon follow since they also took Golden Sparkle. I’d recommend Golden Sparkle, too, for the same reasons. 👍 Oh god, I can’t stretch this review any further, I’m sorry. 😂 Kono Sakuhin wo Yomu Tsumori wa Nakatta. HAHAHAHA. If I listened to Cupid ni Rakurai right after Tasogare Outfocus, my log list would be uneven, so what better filler for Cupid ni Rakurai would there be other than this, right? 😂
