Credit to @degournay Upstream Colour – The newly renovated Mitre hotel is the setting for a vivid interpretation of our ‘Houghton’ design, an expert recreation of an historic Chinoiserie wallpaper within Norfolk’s celebrated Houghton Hall. A picturesque establishment on the banks of the river Thames – a stone’s throw from Hampton Court, one of England’s finest Tudor Palaces – the Mitre play host to the design in the ‘Canton’ colourway. A striking Blue suggestive of the rich pigments with which Houghton’s panels would have been painted in the 18th century. The latest commercial project by designer Nicola Harding and her eponymous firm, the Mitre exemplifies her distinctive execution of colourful and engaging interiors.
