My battle vest! I think it’s turning out pretty nice! I’ve still got a lot of work but I’m happy with the progress.

The back was a pain in the ass, because I first tried to paint the lesbian flag but it turned out badly so I basically had to cut out the entire middle section and sew some new fabric there. And don’t even get me started on trying to color match the flag with the fabric scraps I have, cutting out the right size and shape and then sewing each individual piece to the back through several layers of denim. I only broke one needle though!

Most of the pins are either made from old bottle caps or bought from second hand stores and repainted. Some are bought from a local small store that sells candy and magazines and all sorts of stuff.

The spikes are originally bought from a local crafting/sewing store, and I got most of them from old projects.

Almost all of the patches are homemade, with random fabric scraps and fabric paint!
