Rain or Shine Earrings

The "Rain or Shine" earrings were hand-crafted by twin Master Jewelers David and Michael Robinson of David Michael Jewels. The playful design was inspired by the rapidly changing weather of their native New Zealand.

Both earrings have hand-carved Paspaley Pearl shells (mother of pearl) depicting silver lined clouds, and are centered around an unheated sapphire of around 9 carats each, one yellow and one light blue.

The sunshine earring also incorporated beautiful yellow diamonds, colorless baguette diamonds and yellow tourmalines. While the rain earring used beautiful blue aquamarines and colorless diamonds. Variously set in gold, platinum and silver. Earring backs include both post and Omega clips.

@davidmichaeljewels Handmade Diamond and Sapphire Ring with Turquoise inlay. Inspiration for this piece began with the monochromatic colour combination of light and dark blue, in the 1930’s Cartier made some really beautiful cigarette cases inlayed with Turquoise and Lapis Lazuli which I’ve always loved. We wanted to add our own twist to the combination by adding more interest to the pairing.
