New idea for Jazz x Jason, with historical soulmates, reincarnation, some magic lore around the world and full of romance. Don't know if I'm going to write it. This is long so, be patient.
Meet You In Our Next Live AU
(got inspired by the title and summary of a webtoon, but didn't read it)
So, Jason and Jazz are soulmates that have been reincarnating around the history for centuries. The first time they met they fell in love, performed a soul binding promise of marriage and every time one die they won't reincarnate til the other dies and they reincarnate together (same year or next year). But doesn't always happen on the same place, and they won't remember each other until they have 21 yo, because they performed the marriage at that age.
So over the history they have been reincarnating with different names and gender and they always remember their past lives at 21 and find each other because their souls are connected. The problem is, they don't always end together, because external circunstances, a few times because sadly one died before the other, and had to live without the other (and because what's true romantic love without some angst?). But most of the time they end up together because Love Wins! They just connect and complement each other.
A little big fact: their souls always reincarnate in places over the ley lines, which are full of soul energy, called by moder para-scientis as "ectoplasm". This is important.
And we are in the 21st century, where Jason Todd was born in the grim and over a ley line city of Gotham and Jazz Fenton was born in the not yet most haunted but over a ley line town of Amity Park.
Both grew up with their not common lives: Jason a street kid adopted by billonaire and crime fighter Bruce Wayne and Jazz with the mad scientists Dr Fenton and Dr Fenton. Both of them ignore they are soulmates.
And then Jason dies.
Now, as I explained, if one dies the other will eventually learn about their death and go on until they next life. But the thing is, when Jason is brought to Gotham, the soul energy/ectoplasm of the city attach on his body, returning him to life and forcefully putting his binded soul back. Which good. But wrong.
Because this anomaly, making Jason a death-touched man, violenty killed when he was a kid, full of angry against the world and mad because he can't understand what is wrong with his body and life (add the League of Assassins messing up his life) he feels wrong and has this attacks of rage. When he died, he remembered, and when he was reanimated, the soulbinding magic was hurt.
And so, when he's 21, he doesn't remember.
Meanwhile, Jazz is the sister of the young Ghost King. They have a fallout with their parents, so after she ended her regency over her brother's rule (because I'm a simp of Queen Regent Jazz) she went to study to a college very away from Illinois (not Gotham) and when she's 21 she remembers.
And oh, Ancients. The soulbinding is not a mental GPS but a sort of a compass. And she knows where she has to go.
Ofc, she first talks with her brother why she suddenly wants to take a sabbatical year in the middle of her studies when she was his regent in the first place was that "school is important and I don't care if you have an infinity ghostly realm, you will finish high school or so help me..." so she informs what's going on.
Danny is sceptical but he may be the Ghost King but as her little brother he can't do anything but give a mean shovel talk to her intended.
CW (who follows Jazz x Jason story like the most longest romantic telenovela ever, popcorn included) stays silent about the matter and just wish her luck. Jazz is Suspicious but doesn't say anything, and goes back to the Living World to search for her soulmate, wherever her soulbinding-gut sends her.
And that's how Jazz ends in Gotham.

When the next chapter of PWGI? You made me broke my Never-Read-An-Unfinished-Fic rule since chapter eleven, and since then I have felt my heart broke more and more after each chapter. And now with the last one? You are amazing. I'm so impressed and a bit jealous that you can write something like PWGI with only fifteen years old. I hope you never quit writing, because I would die! Well, not really. But have you thought writing something original? Because you would put some authors in shame...

As for writing an original piece... yeah I’ve definitely thought about it lol, but you know, it’s obviously like, really unlikely I’d ever get anywhere with it and im scared and stuff hfjdskfdkj Im basically just a big baby so I’m probably gonna wait until I have more confidence before I try and do anything original. Glad you have faith in me though, that’s really nice to hear! :))

Justice is an aspiring superhero going by the name of Indigo, taking on muggers in alleyways until she meets The Ghost, who reluctantly teaches her to use her powers. These include advanced IQ, pristine memory, and heightened senses. Not pictured: her hero eye mask is the rainbow infinity symbol.

Reviewing old docs of mine, I saw a summary of a big prompt from a Jazz/Jason fic I had. I don't remember if it was mine or I copied from you to write later as insp (one day I'm going to post a fic, I swear) but forgot to link the post.
The thing is I didn't find it here, but I could swear I read it here.... So, here I copy of the post? (and sorry if I'm just bad searching if you already had it):
Danny is the rightful Ghost King, but since he's not of age he needs a regent who is a) his species, b) his family, and c) an adult. The only adult haftas are Vlad or this Red Hood guy from Gotham that he's never heard of. Since Vlad is not going to happen looks like it's Red Hood, now how to make the guy count as family...
Jason has had a lot of weird shit happen to him over the years but a woman tracking him down as Red Hood to propose a temporary political marriage so he can be regent of a death dimension until her brother is old enough to rule in his own name is a new one for him. Of course he accepted. The only other option was apparently a creepy uncle figure. He's read enough romance to know a forced marriage of a woman to her creepy uncle never ends well. A forced marriage of a woman to a crime lord doesn't usually end much better, but he's ignoring that for now. He's going to woo and romance his spit fire of a wife with respect, spontaneous poetry, his damn good cooking, and by not being a Darcy. And he is going to rock not just this whole regent thing, but also and more importantly the mentoring her brother and his new ward on how to rule this dimension. Competence is always attractive. He runs a tight ship in his crime empire, surely running a dimension can't be that much harder.
He actually already has a plan on how he's going to handle the whole 'The USA declared war on the dimension he's regent of' thing. It's simple really he goes to the next family dinner and causes chaos. The faces everyone will make will be glorious when he drops that he's lord regent of a dimension, the USA is at war with his dimension, and it's such a shame that no one can meet Jason's wife or ward till there is a peace treaty. Then he just needs to sit back and watch the entertainment as his siblings realize he has forever won the position of favorite child by being the first married and first to give Bruce a grandkid. Also you know the chaos of Bruce willing to wage a one man war if necessary so he can meet his grandson. Jason figures it will take at most a month for the government to cave.
And like a cherry on top he's going to get on a medical treatment plan for the pit. Everything is looking great for him.

Anger Management meet-cute idea:
Jazz is moving into her new place at Gotham U, and Danny's helping her out. They're unpacking her stuff from the car (it's actually Jazz's but Danny will use it for the story so it's his now) when this biker dude parks nearby. Yup, that's Jason Todd, who's got that tough look going on, with his black jacket and his "don't mess with me" vibes.
Anyway, when they're heading inside the building, Jason held the door open for them, and turns out Jason's living right across from Jazz! He's surprisingly nice and offers to help them with the rest of the stuff. Danny's not too thrilled about it, with his little brother's sixth sense, not the ghost sense. He just doesn't want him interacting with his sister anymore! But Jazz is like, "Sure, why not? He's my neighbor! I want to have a good relationship with them" (the neighbors)
After they finish unloading, Jason takes off, and Danny's like, "Please, no more bikers. I know you like them, but seriously, not again."
Finally, Danny leaves an hour later, and then Jason shows up at Jazz's door. He's like, "So you're into bikers, huh?"
They decide to grab a bite, and they end up at a bar, having pizza and playing pool together.

I can see them being sassy like.
"You don't look like someone who is into bikers."
"And you don't look like someone who knows who Emily Dickinson is, but here we are."

So excited the idea of Jazz Fenton as CPS worker is so good received.
If you end writing something, just a trivial/not so much info dump: in New Jersey, CPS are known as DYFS, not CPS. I knew that AFTER I sent you the previous ask...

I am not even from the US so I have 0 idea how anything works/is called, so if I ever do write it, it will be the vaguest and less accurate depiction.
There's a really good Batman fic about a CPS worker in Gotham that thinks that Red Hood has kidnapped Tim Drake (but he just becomes his legal guardian) that I could use as a base. Highly recommend this fic!

Sixteen year old Kalei enjoys the simple things in life. Tending her family’s farm, riding her dragon, Shannah, into the sunset. Stuff like that. But when she finds out she’s pregnant and the father tries to get rid of it, she hops on Shannah and runs. She hides in merciful strangers’ houses for a while, because if Agate Queen Almodine finds out she’s having a baby, the child will be rounded up with the rest of the kingdom’s kids. She can’t hide the baby bump forever, though, and flees into the wilderness where she stumbles upon a guild of dragon tamers.

“How come?” asked Maisie, whose interest was quite piqued.
“Well,” Delia said, squishing Maisie’s cheek lightly with her free hand, “because blue roses are rare, and beautiful, and they’re mysterious. Just like you.”
Maisie nodded, turning over the idea in her head until she was satisfied. “Okay. The Blue Rose Society.”
