Bahama Cruise 2022, Part 13, April 8, Sand Castle, Little Bay, Jacks Bay Cove.
Walking by Lorraine’s Restaurant on the way back to the dinghy. Lorraine’s mom lives in the small house behind the restaurant. Ms. Rolle is known on the island as the “bread lady”. You have to get there early for the fresh bread which cost $8.
We started the day with fresh cinnamon raisin bread from Ms. Rolle.
Here we end the day with a drink at Lorraine’s. Lorraine’s is a cruisers hangout. “Killer” is the bartender who specializes in his famous rum drinks, he invents. He keeps an entire whiteboard with the names and ingredients.
Conversation at the laundromat today was the sever weather coming in tomorrow, with high winds blowing from the North West. So we fled the harbor early the next day. It was totally exposed to NW winds.
We hugged the coast to the south and anchored close by the “sand castle”, in Little Bay. So the anchorage filled up shortly as this was the best protection from the impending winds. Note the sailboat grounded on the beach in front of the castle. Unfortunately it has been there for years. Probably there for many more years.

Carl Allan and his boats show up to escape the storm. First was “Axis” a Damen Support boat for his toys. Which includes his personal deep diving submarine, jet skies, flats skiffs, etc. Then “Gigi” a Westport 164. “Gigi” is named for his wife. Smart man!
After awhile a very nice sportfish pulled up in front of us in protected water. They were transferring some people to the “tender”. While they were distracted and drifting downwind. They were about to hit our bow. But the Captain realized it before I had to blow the air horn. Turns out “Frigate” is part of Carl’s fleet. So he could have paid for the damages.
Carl has a great reputation and has helped the Bahamas out a lot after Hurricane Dorian. He is so well liked by the Bahamian government that a Bahamian gun ship is usually found nearby. In the morning, we watched the tender drop off some goodies to the crew of Bahamas Defense Force boat.
The squall line came in before dark. We danced around on deck soaping up and washing down. First shower in three weeks, since Bimini. How nice, even if it was cold rain.
We had a comfortable night on the hook. No worries of dragging. Sunrise the next day dawned clear and calm.
Winds would be light and the anchorage was too crowed for us, so we headed south down Great Guana. This mega yacht was nestled into the rocks with lines to shore and a couple of anchors off the bow. Pretty cool!
We found a nice sand beach at Jacks Bay Cove. Some cruisers leaving the Bahamas said this was their favorite beach. I would have to agree with them.
Nancy can’t pass up a swing, so here she is….swinging back and forth. We took the cruisers trail to the sound side. Scrub brush is about hip high with a well used easily followed sand trail.
Nancy had to play mountain goat and climb the hill.
Back on the bank side we explored the beach from one end to the other. On the north end is a great little cave to bury treasure in.
After a quick dinghy run exploring the shore lines with its undercut rocks we returned to the boat.

Многие недоумевают, почему некогда считавшийся либералом Дмитрий Медведев превратился в самого оголтелого ястреба войны на Украине. Как выяснил «Проект», за этой метаморфозой скрывается в том числе и личная драма. Единственный сын политика — Илья Медведев — конечно же, не пошел на фронт, но с началом войны потерял миллионные инвестиции, сделанные для него семьей Игоря Болхова, возможность путешествовать по миру и шанс отдохнуть на морских просторах на роскошной яхте «Вселенная».
Двое на яхте
Июль 2020 года. Разгар пандемии коронавируса, во всем мире строжайшие меры безопасности, ограничивающие путешествия и развлечения. В России — рост смертности и безработицы, вызванных коронавирусом и его экономическими последствиями . 74-метровая яхта «Вселенная» стоимостью $100 млн идет в водах Средиземного моря, отключив транспондер . На борту «Вселенной» — Илья Медведев и Максим Болхов, сыновья зампреда Совета безопасности России Дмитрия Медведева и бывшего министра энергетики, миллиардера Игоря Болхова соответственно . Молодые люди, знакомые еще со школы, уединились на морских просторах от невзгод тяжелого времени.
Какие заботы докучали молодым детям влиятельных родителей? Понять это поможет сама яхта «Вселенная». Построенная голландским бюро Damen Yachting в 2018 году, она оформлена на офшор с Каймановых островов Southerner Ltd, реальный владелец которого скрыт. Однако передвижения яхты за последние годы указывают на то, что собственник — скорее всего из России. Например, в 2020 году «Вселенная» не менее 72 дней провела в порту Сочи . А в 2022 году, вскоре после начала войны в Украине , когда зарубежные власти начали арестовывать активы влиятельных россиян — яхты, дома и самолеты, — «Вселенная» покинула итальянский порт Империя, где в тот момент стояла на якоре, и через Стамбул пришла в Сочи, где, как собственными глазами убедился корреспондент «Проекта», пришвартована и сейчас.

— Он пытается заниматься частными бизнес-проектами, в том числе в сфере цифровой экономики. Ну, такими вещами, которые сейчас очень популярны у молодежи. Причем занимается этим сам и занимается с удовольствием. Особых успехов пока я там у него не видел, но, надеюсь, что всё еще впереди, — этими словами экс-президент, экс-премьер, а теперь видный ястреб вторжения на Украину Дмитрий Медведев отвечал в 2020 году на вопрос о том, чем занимается его единственный сын Илья .
Всего за год до этого интервью в другом месте Москвы разворачивалась совсем иная история, дающая представление о «бизнес-проектах», которыми сын бывшего президента «занимается с удовольствием». «Я несколько раз сидел с Ильей Дмитриевичем (Медведевым) за одним столом. Мы вели с ним переговоры про инвестиции и текущие дела», — вспоминает IT-бизнесмен Константин Хайт. Бизнес Хайта, согласно его словам, был отобран в интересах Медведева-младшего, сейчас бизнесмен покинул Россию и согласился на разговор с «Проектом». Его рассказ подтверждается еще одним источником и финансовой документацией компании Хайта, изученной «Проектом».
, говорят, что именно Болховы и есть собственники яхты, но фактически пользуется ей семья Дмитрия Медведева. На «Вселенной» у бывшего президента и премьера есть кабинет и спецсвязь, а в территориальных водах РФ ее часто сопровождают корабли ВМФ.
«Проект» также нашел множество косвенных подтверждений того, что яхтой в действительности пользуется именно Медведев. Турецкий споттер Йорук Ишик, следящий за судами, проходящими через Босфор, — в мае 2022 года сообщил, что «Вселенная», вероятно, принадлежит именно Медведеву. В разговоре с «Проектом» он уточнил, что сделал такой вывод на основании информации своего источника. Турецкие обозреватели из НКО Nordic Monitor также называли Медведева собственником «Вселенной». Еще один источник «Проекта» среди яхт-брокеров со ссылкой на экипаж утверждает, что семья Медведевых использует эту яхту. Наконец, сотрудник сочинской марины, где сейчас под охраной стоит судно, называет ее «медведевской» и «правительственной».

Хайт — главный архитектор системы электронных ценников для ритейла . Вместе с партнером в 2017 году он создал IT-стартап «Компо». Сейчас компания глубоко убыточна , но на старте у нее были неплохие перспективы. В 2017 года компания стала участницей «Сколково», а уже в 2018 году стартап нашел крепкого инвестора в лице «ВЭБ Инновации», который был готов вложить в бизнес до 200 млн руб. «Компо» строила планы на экспорт и развитие. Правда, в итоге договор с ВЭБом остался на бумаге, потому что у стартапа именно тогда появился еще более именитый инвестор.
«Носило нас по волнам американского и российского стартаперства, пока в качестве потенциального инвестора нам не порекомендовали прямо Илью Дмитриевича Медведева», — с улыбкой вспоминает Хайт. По его словам, устроено это было так: переговоры вместе с Медведевым и от его лица вел старший из сыновей Игоря Болхова — Виталий, на которого сейчас записано большинство семейных компаний. В части встреч к инвесторам присоединялся и младший сын Игоря Болхова — Максим.
«В моем понимании Илья Дмитриевич отдан на воспитание семье Болховых. Это большой family office, с большим числом своих людей в разных структурах, разбросанных по всей стране, — рассказывает Хайт. — Виталий наставляет Медведева на верный путь в жизни респектабельного венчурного бизнесмена».
В 2018 году «Компо» заключило инвестиционную сделку с фирмой «Айкоминвест», на 100% принадлежащей Виталию Болхову. Сумма инвестиций — более $4 млн. «Мне было четко сказано, что твой инвестор — Илья, и ты отвечаешь перед ним», — говорит Хайт. Теперь он с сожалением объясняет, почему согласился: «Они же не силовики в масках, а либеральное крыло, цивилизованные сторонники европейской интеграции».
«Проект» убедился, что деньги на счета «Компо» действительно поступали — они приходили от разных юрлиц, контролируемых семьей Болховых — от «Айкоминвеста» и от «Цифрового гарнизона». Несмотря на то, что 4 млн долларов не самая впечатляющая сумма в масштабах большого бизнеса, таких денег ни у Ильи, ни у Дмитрия Медведева легально быть не могло. Медведев-младший только окончил МГИМО, а его отец с 2012 года заработал в сумме около 1 млн долларов — при безработной жене Светлане, годовой доход которой с 2012 года не превышал 0 рублей.
Однако к концу 2018 года начали происходить странные вещи. В Подмосковье было учреждено юрлицо с почти идентичным названием — «НПО Компо», владельцем которого стала все та же «Айкоминвест» Виталия Болхова. Спустя несколько месяцев после заключения инвестиционной сделки, в октябре 2018 года, когда «Компо» уже приступила к строительству завода по производству электронных ценников, Хайта неожиданно вызвали в Москву и сообщили, что принято решение его «бизнес забрать» .
«[Они] сказали: „Вы знаете, Константин, обычно мы так не делаем, но тут нам все так нравится, что мы решили эту компанию у вас купить“, — вспоминает Хайт разговор октября 2018 года. За столом перед ним сидели Виталий и Максим Болховы, а также Илья Медведев. Собеседники не назвали сумму, предложив подождать. В начале 2019 года один из доверенных лиц Болховых сообщил Хайту: „Что вы скажете, если мы оценим стоимость вашей доли в 0 рублей? Ваше право не согласиться, но мы создали в Дубне, в особой экономической зоне, компанию под названием „НПО Компо“. Там назначен директор и высажена наша команда управленцев. Нам не хватает только инженеров, но мы готовы предложить вашим инженерам перебраться в Дубну, тем более, что зарплаты вы им платить не сможете, потому что финансирование „Компо“ мы останавливаем. А как вы помните, привлекать финансирование за пределами нашей организации вы права не имеете . У вас есть выбор: либо вы можете переписать долю на наше ООО „Фьючер инвест“ и тогда мы вам оставим 10% от наших будущих побед, либо вы сами разбирайтесь, как вы будете банкротить свое ООО „Компо“», — пересказывает тот разговор Хайт.
Бизнес у Хайта полностью изъяли весной 2019 года. У фирмы Болховых-Медведева дела не пошли — убыток «НПО Компо» по итогам 2021 года достиг 161 млн руб . Упомянутая компания «Фьючер инвест», которая и сейчас владеет «Компо», принадлежит фирме «Эм уай груп», которую контролирует друг Медведева-младшего по яхте Максим Болхов. Медведев-младший действительно связан с этим бизнесом — в утекших налоговых базах он значился, как человек, получавший доход в «Эм уай груп» .
Болховы не ответили на предложение «Проекта» о разговоре для этой статьи.
Их интерес в Кремниевой долине
«Компо» была не единственной инвестицией Болховых в интересах Медведева-младшего . «Чаще чем раз в неделю он (Медведев — „Проект“) отправлялся либо в Иннополис , либо в Сколково, чтобы кого-то отсматривать», — вспоминает Хайт. Он утверждает, что с теми же целями сын бывшего президента ездил и за границу, — в частности, на проходившую в марте 2019 года в Германии хай-тек выставку EuroShop . «Илье собирали венчурный холдинг, заточенный на ритейл», — говорит Хайт.
Определить, в какие IT-проекты инвестировали Болховы довольно просто. Если изучить структуру бизнеса этой семьи, окажется, что IT-сектор — редкое направление их инвестиций. Основные интересы Болховых в более консервативных отраслях — энергетика, судостроение, недвижимость и др.
Как выяснил «Проект», кроме «Компо» Виталий Болхов вложил около $2 млн в компанию бывшего министра связи Николая Никифорова «Дигинавис».
Никифоров — креатура Медведева, он работал в его кабинете министров с 2012 по 2018 годы . Большинство проектов компании к 2022 году находятся в убытках .
Впрочем, одна из самых интересных связанных с IT инвестиций семьи Болхова была сделана совсем не в России, и она заслуживает отдельного рассказа.
«В январе 2018 года приехал Виталий Болхов с делегацией. М��саев показал ему объект в Менло-Парке, а я показал „церковь“ в Сан-Франциско. Особых вопросов у Болхова не было», — вспоминает Павел Черкашин, российский бизнесмен, давно осевший в Кремниевой долине в Калифорнии. В то время он был партнером с Магомедом Мусаевым, еще одним российским бизнесменом, работающим в Калифорнии. Сейчас бывшие партнеры разошлись и выясняют отношения в судах. Как вспоминает Черкашин, Мусаев пригласил Болхова как потенциального инвестора в проект под названием «Уиллоу-стрит, 80». Это адрес офисного комплекса на границе городов Менло-Парк и Пало-Альто в самом сердце Кремниевой долины. В итоге Виталий Болхов приобрел этот дом весной 2018 года за $72 млн .
Источник, хорошо знакомый с бизнесом семьи Болховых, говорит, что эта инвестиция также была сделана в интересах семьи Медведевых. Мусаев, с именем которого многие и сейчас ассоциируют дом в Менло-Парке, отказался от комментариев для этой статьи. Знакомый Мусаева утверждает, что тот не имеет отношения к этому бизнесу с момента, как Болхов приобрел особняк .
«Его интерес состоял в том, чтобы после покупки дома Болховым взять в аренду правое крыло, — описывает ситуацию знакомый Мусаева. — Но потом выяснилось, что приоритетное право на аренду принадлежит компании Robin Hood, которая уже несколько лет работает в левой части здания». Собеседник признает, что Мусаев сам хотел купить этот особняк, но не нашел средств. В этот момент и появился Болхов, с которым Мусаев прежде, по словам его близкого друга, был незнаком.
Илья Медведев очень интересовался американской стартап-культурой . «Главный из них (инвесторов „Компо“), кого Америка реально интересовала, — это, конечно, Илья», — вспоминает Хайт. Илья ездил в Кремниевую долину вместе с отцом во время официального визита в 2010 году , и у него была американская виза. Представитель Госдепартамента сообщил «Проекту», что не уполномочен комментировать вопрос о наличии визы у сына Медведева, предложив ознакомиться с указом президента Джо Байдена о санкциях в отношении россиян от 15 апреля 2021 года. Среди прочего документ отдельно оговаривает, что совершеннолетние дети лиц, попавших под американские санкции, не будут допущены на территорию США. Дмитрий Медведев был включен в санкционные списки в апреле 2022 года.
В кого превратился Дмитрий Медведев ночью 24 февраля 2022 года
Третий президент России Дмитрий Медведев, прежде считавшийся относительно либеральным политиком, за последние полгода претерпел колоссальную метаморфозу. На публике он стал ярым сторонником войны с Украиной и противостояния в Западом — гораздо более ярым, чем даже сам Владимир Путин. Один из знакомых бывшего президента считает, что «эту роль Медведев взял на себя по договоренности с Путиным», другой говорит, что «Медведев ебнулся», а третий уверен, что таким образом Медведев хочет вновь застолбить за собой место преемника Путина. Как бы то ни было, за поведением замглавы Совбеза интересно наблюдать даже из сугубо антропологических соображений.
— На 19-й день войны Дмитрий Медведев завел телеграм-канал, где пишет об «оголтелой русофобии Запада», «киевских отморозках» и своей ненависти к «ублюдкам и выродкам», которые «хотят смерти нам, России».
Среди прочих резких высказываний Медведев предлагал ЕС ввести полный запрет на выдачу виз россиянам, чтобы они в свою очередь «не отвлекались» от боевых действий против Украины, предупреждал о перспективе третьей мировой войны и обещал жителям западных стран горе, горящую землю и плавящийся бетон вокруг, если их власти не перестанут накачивать «киевский режим опаснейшими видами вооружений».
Кроме угроз Медведев взял за правило регулярно выступать в, как он сам, видимо, считает, юмористическом жанре. Он часто иронизирует над рекордно высокими ценами на газ в Европе и полагает, что «жовто-блакитная истерика» спровоцировала у европейцев «тяжёлую диарею от страха замёрзнуть», рисует красным маркером «Z» и, не проронив ни слова, ухмыляется в камеру .
Однажды августовской ночью на странице Медведева «ВКонтакте» появился пост , в котором говорилось, что после «освобождения Киева и всей территории Малороссии от банд националистов, проповедующих придуманное ими же украинство, Русь снова станет единой», и Москва пойдет в новый поход «для восстановления границ нашей Родины, которые, как известно, нигде не заканчиваются». В посте отмечалось, что до присоединения к Российской империи Грузии «вообще не существовало», а Казахстан — это «искусственное государство» и «бывшие русские территории». Власти Казахстана переселяют различные этнические группы, что «можно классифицировать как геноцид русских». «Мы не намерены закрывать на это глаза. Пока туда не придут русские, порядка не будет», — было сказано в конце сообщения. Помощник Медведева Олег Осипов позднее заявил о взломе страницы бывшего президента в «ВКонтакте».
Другая особенность поведения Медведева в последние полгода — он старается делом развеивать слухи, возникающие вокруг его имени. После появления официально не подтвержденных данных о том, что у Ильи Медведева аннулировали американскую визу, его отец обвинил Запад в незаконных санкциях против родственников российских чиновников, и вскоре продемонстрировал Медведева-младшего во время приема того в единороссы. А вслед публикации центра «Досье», согласно которой Светлана Медведева якобы ушла от мужа, что «Проекту» опровергает знакомый этой семьи, Медведев опубликовал видеозапись, где они с супругой вместе поздравляют россиян с Днем любви, семьи и верности.
Примерно тогда же — в середине весны этого года — Илья расспрашивал своих знакомых, на какой деятельности ему следует сфокусироваться в новых условиях, рассказывает знакомый с Медведевыми российский бизнесмен: «IT-бизнес не пошел, а война окончательно перечеркнула его перспективы, теперь Илья думает о социальном предпринимательстве».

Новое занятие молодому человеку в итоге придумал отец. Летом 2022 года Илью торжественно приняли в «Единую Россию». На новом месте Илья, по его собственным словам, будет заниматься в частности «поддержкой малого и среднего бизнеса, предпринимательства».
Со своим бизнесом Медведеву-младшему придется повременить — по выражению друга семьи, он оказался слишком молод для IT-предпринимательства, и под нажимом отца пошел в единороссы.

In 2018, Compo entered into an investment deal with “Ikominvest” company, 100% owned by Steven Harring.
