7) How do you edit your fics? What do you look for in your edits?

eigentlich will ich immer sagen, ich editiere gar nicht so viel, aber das ist natürlich blödsinn. ich ändere zwar selten noch größere dinge, wenn ich die fic einmal von anfang bis ende hingeschrieben hab, aber das liegt auch nur daran, dass ich schon beim schreiben miteditiere. ich lese z.b. oft die ganze fic (oder bei sehr langen fics zumindest die paar szenen vorher) nochmal, bevor ich eine szene weiterschreibe. einfach, um wieder in den flow zu finden. und da passiert natürlich auch schon ganz viel korrektur und polish. ich achte vor allem darauf, dass sich keine wörter wiederholen, dass klar ist, wer wo steht und wer was sagt, und dass sich die stimmung der figuren organisch durch die szene trägt. die erste version einer szene ist erfahrungsgemäß deutlich kürzer als das endprodukt, besteht hauptsächlich aus dialog und die emotionalen umschwünge sind all over the place. in der überarbeitung kommt dann mehr substanz dazu: atmosphäre, scenery, gesten, schweigen, blicke etc. und dann fängt sich meistens auch das emotionale pacing ganz gut.

als kleine ergänzung zur letzten antwort: ich hab inzwischen tragischerweise gelernt, dass ich aus ALLEM wenigstens einen recherchewert ziehen kann. beispiel: ich häng nachts mit magendarm über der kloschüssel und denke: ah, spannend. muss ich mir merken, wie sich das anfühlt, das kann ich für xy verwenden.

Also HIGHLY intrigued by the part where Rimicha appears to be chasing after Hallritt? And the fact that the very last interaction is between Rimicha and Hallritt and he (Rimicha) specifies that he likes Hallritt because he's nice to him a little bit before that? I feel like that is going to be VERY plot-important later (the reason why Rimicha is chasing after Hallritt, because he doesn't want him to leave, if I had to take a wager)

no, yin is very used to being called handsome and/or beautiful. in those exact words. (they're very androgynous; it's what people default to.) people joke that their parents must have been sirens or something, because while they are conventionally attractive, people struggle to describe what specifically elevates them to "otherworldly being of handsomeness and/or beauty." it's kind of just a Vibe they have.
