On "Uncatchable" Pokemon
No matter your views on battle culture, and particularly trainer culture, it would be outright ignorant to say that it hasn't improved vastly over the past couple decades. From wild captures being significantly less common and more regulated overall to the death of the "gotta catch 'em all" mentality in most regions, trainer culture has globally become more and more conscious to the needs of the pokemon over the benefits to the human trainer. However, there is one aspect of trainer culture that, the niche, has remained persistent and problematic throughout years and years of improvement in nearly every other department. This aspect is the concept of "Uncatchable" pokemon.
Now, to clarify, when I refer to "Uncatchable pokemon", I'm not referring to pokemon of legend status, mythic status, extrauniversal pokemon (commonly referred to as Ultra Beasts), or the Paradox pokemon generated by Professor Sada and Professor Turo's experimentation. These pokemon, though extremely powerful with capture heavily regulated by law, do not fall under the trainer-defined category of "Uncatchable". An "Uncatchable" pokemon is one that cannot be captured or otherwise raised independently. More often than not, this is because the Pokemon in question has a parasitic, symbiotic, or parent-child relationship with another Pokemon that would make it unhealthy or even fatal to force independence.
Two pokemon that fall into the latter category, and are often unfairly targeted by poachers and irresponsible trainers, are the infant forms of Kangaskhan and Rellor. Particularly, these pokemon are often targeted by competitive trainers participating in what are known as "little cup" tournaments—often unofficial tournaments where the primary rule is that only very young, low-level, first-stage pokemon may be used. Though these tournaments do have positive aspects, namely their ability to allow beginner trainers to get a foothold in concepts of battle strategy without feeling intimidated, like all aspects of competitive battling, there are a large subset of trainers who are simply in it to win it all costs with no regard to the pokemon that they use.
Baby Kangaskhan is viewed as a potential meta-changer due to the sheer power of its adult form. However, all known instances of separation between mother and child Kangaskhan have led to severe drops in quality of life for the baby that make it impossible for this pokemon to be a viable battler. The only instance in which a baby Kangaskhan can battle healthily is alongside and through the mega evolution of its parent, and ethics of this practice are hotly debated as there are several cases in which the mother Kangaskhan shows the stress at the side of its child fighting. Though these cases may be chalked up to personality differences between different Kangaskhan, the same cannot be said for separation cases.
Nearly 100% of wild separation cases are fatal, with the sparse few survivors living much shorter and unhealthier lives than their properly raised counterparts. With human intervention, the fatality rate goes down, but the baby Kangaskhan still exhibit symptoms of PTSD, as well as severe mental and physical developmental disorders that leave it essentially stuck in a child-like state for its entire life. Even with human intervention, the separated baby will never learn how to battle, and all moves learned will be ineffective. Many separated babies do not even attempt to battle, perpetually expecting their mother to guard them even though she's gone. Physically, even if these babies make it to adulthood, there will be much more frail and susceptible to illness than their parented counterparts. They will also never develop their adult scales, leaving them more prone to accidental injury and infection. The theories on why this occurs range from the baby having a latent psychic connection to the mother to maternal connection simply being a requirement for healthy development in this particular species, but regardless of what the truth is, all separation cases are harmful to the baby, and throughout the rntire history of training as a sport, no progress has been made in changing this. It is hotly debated whether or not it is ethical to raise a separated baby Kangaskhan to adulthood as a result.
Infant Rellor is even worse. Though Rellor itself is currently viable by most little cup standards, it is also disqualified in many unofficial tournaments due to the existence of infant Rellor and the insistence that, since it is such a vastly different form, Rellor as an independent pokemon is an evolution and cannot qualify. However, this is an entirely unfair and harmful assessment to make, as this infant form cannot exist separately from the parent Rabsca, or even the dung ball it exists within. If the infant Rellor is broken out of this dung ball too early in development, it will die in 95% of cases. The sparse few recorded survival cases have only occurred as result of two factors: a Rabsca (not necessarily the original parent) quickly forming a new dung ball around the infant, and human intervention. Even with these factors at play, survival is still dependent on the stage of development of the infant, any injuries sustained during the removal from the dung ball, and the speed at which it is transported either back into a dung ball or into an artificial gestation tank. Infants broken out of their done ball early also tend to exhibit higher rates of developmental disorders, physical disabilities, and neurological disorders. Universally, their ability to manipulate psychic energy is severely impaired, and many do not exhibit the ability to evolve into Rabsca.
Shellder is a different story. It is a commonly known fact that Shellder experiences drastic physiological changes after clamping onto a host Slowpoke—changes drastic enough to be considered an evolution by some. In certain trainer circles, this debated evolution is known as "Turban", both in reference to the shells of some non-pokemon mollusks as well as the headwear of the same name. With the form-altering venom produced by these pokemon as well as the sharp teeth and powerful jaws, it's been theorized that this form of Shellder may have a water/poison typing and be able to battle if selectively bred and raised to do so.
Unfortunately for the Shellder and Slowpoke evolutions involved in this debate, separation of a Shellder and Slowpoke after evolution is universally detrimental. The Shellder itself will always die unless it is reattached to another Slowpoke, and will be in severe distress the entire time it is detached. It cannot reattach itself due to its body losing the ability to move, and it will not listen to orders from its trainer, blindly biting the air until a new Slowpoke is found. If it is reattached within a few days, it will more than likely survive, but it will produce higher amounts of venom and exert a notably higher bite force in order to ensure it does not get detached again. This often leads to higher levels of intelligence in the Slowpoke evolution, but also higher levels of aggression and resentment towards other living species, particularly the species that separated it. One case documented a Slowking resulting from a detached Shellder that wiped out an entire seaside town in rage-fueled psychic storm. Though it was eventually captured and sent off to a sanctuary, it never fully regained trust in humans.
Comparatively, the Slowpoke experiencing detachment suffers a much harsher fate. There is a persistent belief that Slowbro will harmlessly devolve back into Slowpoke if separated. Though it will eventually devolve—being the only pokemon known to do so—this process is highly stressful to the Slowbro and may result in death. This is due to withdrawals from the Shellder venom as well as neurological and physiological decay. The symptoms can be as mild as flu-like symptoms such as headaches and nausea to as severe as heart palpitations and seizures. It will also lose the ability to walk in a bipedal manner, and will need to re-learn how to fish using its tail.
Slowking separation is almost always fatal for the Slowking. Unlike Slowbro, it is incapable of devolution due to the Shellder venom being a requirement for proper neurological function, and the Shellder is fused to the skull, causing grievous bodily harm once removed. Galarian Slowking have far higher rates of immediate fatality than Kantonian Slowking, but both pokemon will suffer a drastic drop in quality of life after the separation event. Like separated Kangaskhan, it is widely considered unethical to keep a Slowking alive post-separation as it will be unable to maintain a humane quality of life. It will be unable to communicate its needs, unable to eat or drink without assistance, unable to groom itself, incapable of locomotion beyond a flailing crawl, suffer frequent seizures, and be at a high risk of meningitis among many other complications. Though some pokemon rights activists insist that a separated Slowking can be given a new Shellder or even kept alive without one and still live a happy life, these claims are unfounded in veterinary medicine, and the damage caused by a separation event is largely irreversible.
In conclusion, for the health of these pokemon, we need to demystify the concept of "Uncatchable" pokemon. You may have noticed me using quotation marks around the word "Uncatchable" for the duration of this essay. This is because I firmly believe we should not be using this term, as it generates a sense of challenge for a community notorious for enjoying insurmountable challenges. I propose we push to change the terminology to "unethical pokemon" in order to dispell any sense of challenge or mystique. These pokemon are not physically uncatchable. They are simply doomed to suffer if not kept in their pair bond. For trainer culture to move past this stopping block, this is a fact that must be acknowledged.

btw cutting your dedennes whiskers aka antennae is pokemon abuse and is never okay ever.
By doing this you are actively cutting off their means of communication with other electric type pokemon and limiting releasing their electricity in a healthy way. Also they have nerves in them and it is extremely uncomfortable for the dedenne while they're growing back

📢 rant about how your username is correct (how dragons are overrated)
*Cracks fucking knuckles*
@pkmn-ken @dorakoryusei I suggest you two dont look, I let out a lot of frustration I have with people who excessively use dragon types without knowing what theyre doing and people who are uncreative with their team builds.
Too many people use dragons as a round out for their damn teams instead of getting fucking creative with the types they have for their fucking line up.
Have a strong weakness to electric? Get a dragon type with earthquake!
Have a strong weakness to water? Get a dragon type that can use grass or electric moves!
Have a strong grass weakness? Get a dragon type!
So on so forth
Just get yourself a damn ground type, get a full on electric/grass type, GET A POKEMON THAT HAS A PROPER SUPER EFFECTIVE ATTACK AGAINST GRASS TYPES IT IS SO NOT HARD
Dragonites are fucking everywhere, where the hell are the T-Tars and Metagross? What happened to those pokemon?? Oh and don't even get me fucking STARTED on Garchomp, over rated shark!
No one takes the time to train other damn pokemon half the time, dragons are just soooo fucking popular that better types fall to the damn wayside.
Why don't I see more steel types? Fairy types? Dark types?? Hell! I see more Dragon types on trainers teams then fucking PSYCHIC TYPES! Those things used to be fucking EVERYWHERE ON TEAMS! So many people build their teams around one fucking dragon instead of doing something creative like build around sandstorm or build around a whole range of pokemon
Then theres the fuckers who prance their dragons around like they are the gift to all man kind!
The amount of so called 'Dragon Masters' Ive seen that treat their dragon types like oversized babies that can do nothing wrong is fucking STAGGERING
And the damn EGOS on the FUCK HEADS
They have fucking TEMPER TANTRUMS when I bring out Yuki as if I DARE use a other type than Dragon to defeat their prized lizards
Always twirling around with their stupid oversized capes laughing like evil villains saying that THEY are the BEST and NO ONE CAN DEFEAT THEM except THOSE WHO TRULY SEE THE MIGHT OF DRAGONS!!
Ugh UGH! FUCKING UGGGHH!!!
THERE IS VERY FEW PEOPLE WHO UNDERSTAND HOW TO TAKE CARE OF A DRAGON AND KNOW WHAT THEYRE CAPABLE OF!
THERE IS VERY FEW PEOPLE WHO TREAT THEM WITH REAL RESPECT AND KNOW WHERE BOUNDARIES LAY WITH THEM
SO MANY PEOPLE JUST USE DRAGONITE AND GARCHOMP TO SOLVE THEIR DAMN TEAM COMP ISSUES INSTEAD OF LOOKING OVER THEIR FUCKING TEAM AND ASKING "Hmm do I really need a dragon type or do I just need to actually use my head and get creative"
FUCKING HELL UGH!!
Oh and that isnt to fucking MENTION the ELITISM with some dragon trainers-!
'Oh dont use Kingdra, its stats are abysmal' 'Dont use Drampa they cant do anything' 'Dont use Turtonator' 'Dont use Druddigon' 'Dont use Appletun'
USE POKEMON YOU LIKE NOT POKEMON FOR THEIR DAMN STRENGTH HAS KAREN TAUGHT YOU FUCKS NOTHING?!?
OH WAIT NONE OF YOU EVEN TOUCH THE GYM CHALLENGE THATS RIGHT!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I'M DONE!

Video ID
A Keldeo in a pitch dark room, looking listless and unresponsive. It appears very bruised and its horn is chipped.
Then, a heavily filtered voice off screen
"Look at me"
A loud beep, then the Keldeo jolted up to stare directly into the camera with dull, empty eyes.
Another loud beep
"Break"
The Keldoe's eyes suddenly fill with color, and it quickly scampers back from the camera, terrified.
Before it could escape far, though, another loud beep, and it returns to its listless gaze.
"We wouldn't want to spoil its capabilities now would we?"
The video cuts out

[ Audio file embedded. It sounds a little muffled as if it was taken from inside a pocket.
"—pretty annoying. I mean, I don't think I have had to deal with frost constantly. Makes sense that I got my ass kicked in the region of ice." said the voice of Veracity, the recording starting mid rant.
"Remember that they weren't supossed to be separated from their mother." says Briar with a gentle voice. "They shouldn't be here, but we allowed it since they have imprinted onto you."
"Terrible idea." he scoffs. "Little mutt will end up dead if the weird dreams are premonitions."
"… You said you have been woken up by nightmares frequently?"
A shuffling of cloth can be heard as silence falls over them.
"… Yes. I remember half of them. The rest…. are a mess. I can't make sense of them."
"… Like?"
Veracity scoffs again "Oh you know, watching the few pokemon I have get ripped apart like livestock, dreaming of waking up already half frozen and alone on an icy mountain. The usual."
He pauses for a moment.
"… I dream of you too."
"O-Oh," Briar mutters something, and Vera chuckles.
"They are not good dreams, stop blushing idiot."
"S-Sorry" they giggle. More vague movement can be heard in the background.
"I've dreamt of you getting stabbed, in front of my eyes." Vera suddenly says, making Briar gasp and he keps going before they can say anything about it.
"I've had worse. Most of the time is someone else doing it without me being able to do anything… A few times it has been me."
They both stay quiet again, but a finger tapping can barely be heard in the background.
"There's also several that involve me dying. Very horrific and strange ways too. One of them has me being torn apart by a… thing… with several heards and razor teeth. Another one has a vague dark sillouette summon a gust of wind to throw me off a tower. Another one I can't- I can't tell what it is. The best description I can think of right now is as, as if someone did that 'Demon core' or whatever right in front of me, the radioactive thing, and focused the energy into a wave and made it go towards me."
He huffed, apparently realizing he had been rambling.
"It's fine. I'm fine. It's not important." he tries to be reassuring, but there's a noticeable shake in his voice.
There's the sound of something shifting again, and someone sighs.
"I don't need a hug."
"Uh-hu... but I do."
"I'm fine—." Vera mutters, but doesn't make any move to remove Briar from himself.
The rest of the audio is mostly silence until Veracity picks up his phone and seems to notice the recording, stopping it shortly after. ]

Lily,
Do you wish to apologize to all of the poor Pokémon your horrific training style has hurt?
...spelt my name wrong.
And yes, of course! I've already apologized! Many times!
I know it was horrific.
I'm horrible.
I'm sorry.

Who were your captors? Did Pyrite save you from them? How?
🌋: A gang of Iron Riders. Which is a group that ride Iron pokemon how you would a Motorbike. They would vandalize and trash and kill as they pleased, jumping from city to city to avoid the law.
🌋: He-... did. But not without me putting up some resistance, as I didn't know he was trying to help me, all I knew is that she was a human and humans hurt me.
🌋: Pup stole me from them, from my original captor, shattered the ball that held me and road me away. He caught me in one of her own once... the injury I gave pup healed...
🌋: ... I still don't understand why he doesn't... blame me at all for it...

did you and your partner pokémon always get along?
Ask game
No, but I wasn't a good trainer when I started out so it makes sense why. Pushing my team to the point of exhaustion, yelling at them when they didn't win even though it wasn't their fault... I only ever got close to hitting a pokemon once and Puppy ended up biting my leg before that could happen. It hurt like hell but it got the point across...
I still feel like shit for what I put them through and will forever be grateful that they stuck around anyways...

Update: So last night. The squirtle led me to some discarded pokeballs with 3 other Pokémon being in the area. They obviously know one another.
So another case of abandoning Pokémon. I’m not pleased especially since this Swinub seems to be very young and the Azumarill was very scared of me at first. Possible signs of abuse considering it’s missing part of an ear.
Golett didn’t react much and before I’m asked if maybe someone lost their Pokémon not abandoned them? Yeah. I don’t think they were separated from their trainer if they were patiently sitting next to one another at first like they were waiting for someone.

//I just gotta say you do a fuckin AMAZING job writing honey!!! She's such an interesting character and
//honestly her during this whole arc has been pretty relatable in a way jdhdndg
//can't imagine how hard it was to like , explicitly show all the way up to this where everything had been let loose that she was still just so angry at him underneath it all, even if she was still having fun and making fun of bell light-heartedly and I've never seen anyone really just .capture that before especially in such emotional accuracy
Ooc:
Tumblr media
So when I read this yesterday you gave me the equivalent of human zoomies for an hour when I was supposed to be going to bed. Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm blushing. This is the nicest thing anyone has ever said to meeee. (⁄ ⁄•⁄v⁄•⁄ ⁄)⁄
I go over my 'breakdown' of this arc below the break, but please know that I love all of you and thanks so much for enjoying my gal. She means a lot to me. I'm glad my mental process comes through in her words and actions.
Also If you want more lighthearted stuff - I have a few more Amy roasts to go through so Do Not Worry we will flambae this man yet.
I am also gonna write this warning here as well - Content Warning for death, implied suicide, abandonment, animal abuse, pokemon abuse and generally uncomfortable topics to think about.
Honey could be charitably called a 'self insert' - although she looks nothing like me and we do have differing opinions on a lot of topics. From my experience with TTRPGs and running them for 7 years I find the greatest advice I can give to anyone both old and new is to put pieces of yourself into your oc's. This is two-fold for importance.
1) It fleshes them out and makes you like them. If you have a character with similar morals and goals to yourself it is much easier to relate to them and makes you actually want to continue - you know - playing them. Honey has many traits that I don't. But we do share a deep love for people (and pokemon but her love is much more tangible than mine). She has a strong sense of fair play and is stubborn to a fault, which is something a lot of people can relate with. Her flaws are the same as her strengths and that makes her feel alive.
2) The second part is - in my humble opinion - more important. You know how they Feel. Emotions are a fickle thing in roleplay. You have to be very good at separating fiction from reality. It helps a lot when you are in constant communication with the people you are creating the story with.
When I was writing Honey over the course of this arc, I noticed that I started getting agitated - not from myself - but when I put myself in Honey's shoes. And after some contemplation I could realize why. This whole situation reminded me of those "Don't Drink and Drive" TV ads where the owner of a dog leaves, promising to come back. For a few moments you get a horrible sinking feeling because you know that this is an ad for drunk driving. But the dog doesn't. But after a few shots the person returns! All's well that ends well. You get your catharsis because that's a bit too dark a subject for daytime tv.
But I always wondered what would happen if the person never came back.
Dogs and cats are pretty smart all things considering. But how would this sort of thing affect a creature that has a higher level of intelligence? Little kids don't have a super great grasp on death - and I assume that most pokemon (there are exceptions to the rule) have the emotional and mental capacity of around a 3 year old. But you can also verbally explain death to a child when they are old enough. How do you explain to a ratatta that their trainer passed away?
This has never been stated explicitly until recently but Honey does have a slightly longer relationship with Amy than is immediately apparent. Especially with his pokemon. She cares about them and understands them to some degree. She knows roughly their emotional intelligence and ability to grasp abstract concepts. Honey has no illusions that Maxx, Beetroot and a handful of Amy's other pokemon are smart enough to connect the dots if he up and vanished. Some of them might even hold a grudge or mourn his loss.
But she knows there are also many pokemon in his care that aren't smart enough to understand. Bruno in particular - who is arguably the pokemon Honey is most emotionally attached to. Bruno is a strange case because he has a very good memory. He remembered Honey at the wedding by smell alone; a solid 3-5 years after they first met. Honey had a decent impact on his life but her influence is nothing compared to how much he cares about Bellamy.
So you have a perfect storm - A pokemon smart enough to remember people and has object permanence but not smart enough to understand the possibility of death or the idea that their human - who they love more than life itself - is never going to come back home. Thinking of that mental image - Bruno sitting alone at the door waiting for Amy forever - is basically the sole reason for her anger.
There is compounding issues of course. Did Amy even think to put all his Pokemon in his will? Would his current funds allow each of them to live in the lifestyle they are accustomed to? How many of them could stay together? Would they all have to be adopted out to other people? How many of them are at risk solely because they were the Pokemon of TV icon 'Professor Wild Days'?
Maybe Amy has plans in place for if that were to ever happen. But Honey doesn't know. She thought Amy was more prepared than that but the fact he just marched into the Cold Storage with no plan and without any proper backup has seriously shaken her faith in his ability to consider the longstanding ramifications of his actions.
So when Honey says 'I am pissed' what she really means is 'I am scared that you don't care about yourself enough to realize that your family is still here and depends on you. I'm scared that you aren't living for them. And that makes me angry on their behalf.' This is something I also deeply care about. The greatest thing that helped me in my darkest periods of my life is remembering the creatures that depend on me. Not the humans in my life; but the pets and animals that need me because if I disappear I don't know what will happen to them.
... That's pretty dark and serious. But it's also a damn good reason to be angry.

sorry about disappearing yesterday!! it was a lil bad but i'm just gonna block and move on i think :) but! i did have something i wanted to talk about!!
so! so so so, bluebell only eats when i ask it of her. i have to phrase it like a command because otherwise she just...won't...but i managed to find a nice variety of food for her to try, and i'm wondering if maybe i can see if she has a favorite? maybe i can learn something about her, and...maybe she'll feel a little more at ease?
i know bouton's been trying to talk to her a lot. the funniest thing i think i've seen so far is that bluebell let's bouton roll her around sometimes, and he just kinda has a ball with it. she doesn't really express much, but she lets it happen and doesn't seem to be in pain
so...i'm hoping this lil experiment works, and that it won't be too much for her! wish me luck!

[The Following Offscreen- In character event takes place at 11:30PM
Previous Part found here - Collaboration with @ladyzee-oddityhunter
CW- Blood, Gore, Broken Limbs, Pokemon Abuse, Death mention, possession
Simon takes a careful step away from the utterly disheveled looking Oddity Hunter he now found himself standing before. Dark wafts of purple smoke play about her face as she stares him down through sopping wet tangles of ragged pink hair. Her eyes are just a bit too wide, unblinking as she staggers towards him, her legs twisting out unnaturally as they seem to struggle to find a comfortable way to hold her. "Okay, er.." Simon starts, holding up a hand as he backs away, "Zee? Whatever's going on, try to stay calm, alright? I'm... I'm just going to get you back to town. Er... and probably to a hospital." A grin, just as menacing as it is unnatural, splits too wide across Zee's face.
You can clearly see the red between her teeth.
"Town? I'd love to go to town, mister."
She begins to shamble back up the slope towards Simon. Other than her broken fingers her body still looks mostly solid, if not a bit worse for wear. It's clear her pokemon have been holding back, trying not to injure her.
But this isn't Zee any more.
She grabs Carmelita, the Oricorio who'd so bravely stood before her, by the throat and silences a panicked squawk from it. Dark energy seems to gather in her palm, striking the pokemon point blank with a Shadow Ball. She smashes the pokemon into the ground with a hiss.
It lays there, unmoving.
Simon blanches a little. He takes a trembling step back as Zee begins to advance again, wobbling as she does. Her eyes meet Simon's unblinking as a scowl crosses her lips once again.
"I'm going back to the town. If you get in my way too, I'll twist your head off and shove it up your ass."
Simon winces, unclipping a Pokeball now from his belt. This has gone far enough.
"Okay Zee.." he says, a little breathlessly, "We'll get you back, just hang on."
He tosses the Pokeball and from it bursts, Mimic, the blue tinted glitch pokemon that takes the form of either its trainer or their pokemon as it pleases. Today Mimic looks like a bright blue copy of Simon, complete with thick eyeglasses (and an uncanny lack of eyes behind them). It watches Zee with a vacant kind of ambivalence, expression totally neutral as it lies in wait beside its trainer.
"We can talk this out, right?" Simon asks, addressing the spirit now, "Don't you think you could just leave. This is possession, right?"
Zee glances between Simon and Mimic a few times (as if trying to better understand just WHAT this strange blue copy of him was supposed to be.)
"Leave?" she asks as she shambles further towards him, “No. I’ve been waiting a long time for someone to come here. I’m going home. I’m getting him BACK for this!”
The swirling, purple mist intensifies as her face twists with fury.
“He deserves to DIE FOR THIS! HE RUINED MY LIFE!”
With a hate filled shriek, clouds of dark mist begin to swirl about her. She is shouting now, words overlapping with one another in a cacophony of hate, pleading to unhearing gods for vengeance she was owed and so sorely denied. Her anguish swiftly devolves into sounds impossible to recreate with a human mouth.
She sways, as if ready to collapse, before falling head long into a sprint towards Simon. He gasps, staggering backwards, almost falling as he shouts in a panic. "Mimic!!"
Mimic's head snaps to attention as it's eyes come to focus on Zee. It rushes to intercept her, firing off a shadow ball in response, mimicking the attack it had seen her use on Carmelita. It snarls at Zee as the attack connects, standing before Simon protectively.
Zee is knocked clean off her feet, sent tumbling back down the slope from the force of the impact. (So much for her perfect manicure)
Behind him, he can hear Benjie whimpering. Its clear the pokemon can't stand seeing its trainer hurt, but it seems to know as well as Simon does. This still is not Zee.
She lurches back to her feet like a puppet on strings. Her ankle gives way beneath her when she stands, rolling awkwardly beneath her as she pitches forward. Her cold eyes snap to Mimic.
“Bastard… What the FUCK are YOU?”
She pulls a few ragged, shallow breaths as she limps back up the hill upon failing joints. A fine purple mist gatheres around her hands as she makes a dash at Mimic. She raises a vicious shadowed claw to swipe at the strange blue pokemon.
The attack goes right though. It does absolutely nothing. Mimic just stares back at her a bit blankly, its head cocking vaguely to one side. Simon takes his place next to his Mimic and stares down at her. "I'm only going to ask you to leave once more." he says, "Tell me, just who is it you're looking for. Do you even know if he's still alive?"
Zee snarls at him, dumbfounded and frustrated by the lack of impact her attack had upon Mimic.
"What, as if you'll help me?" she asks with a sneer, "I'm not telling you a damn thing. Trusting someone is how this HAPPENED.”
She takes a step back, and then another, before turning abruptly to bolt. Benjie gives out a cry of alarm, dashing to cut her off before she can escape.
"Hey wait!" Simon calls after her, "Mimic! Don't let her get away!!"
