Social Clubs Mod - DOWNLOAD

Tired of your sims walking aimlessly through town? No friends, no hobbies, no purpose? Put an end to their lack of a fulfilling social life by creating a million and one clubs for them to join and/or get kicked out of!

With 50+ activities for you to push, including activities from over 10 different mods, and 4 specialised club types, you can create almost any club you can think of: book clubs, invite-only hangouts, afterschool clubs and more! Grow memberships, take part in tournaments and ship cute little subscription gifts straight to your sim’s door.

Note: This mod is very extensive, so please thoroughly read the documentation in the download that I’ve painstakingly written up.

Compatibility: Should be base game compatible however expansion packs, store content and mods add more content.

Club Types

Custom Club: Push specific activities (or no activity at all) and watch your active and inactive club members congregate and do said activities. Push bowling, swimming, rumba, nectar drinking, collecting, studying, music lessons, among many other things.

Subscription-Only Club: While members won’t meet up, force them to pay a subscription fee to the club owner for your own purposes. Consider: food subscription service, council-tax payments, school fees.

Book Club: Choose a book for the book club. Your sims will sit together, have discussions, and read said book.

Formal Gathering Club: Set musicians and/or a speaker (podium or pulpit). Have your club members sit down and act like they’re listening to said musicians and speaker. Choose a skill to increase while the club is in operation.

Club Vibes

Clubs can have different vibes depending on the cost and activities, attracting or repelling different types of sims. There are sports, games, intellectual, low-brow and high class clubs. Some personalities will be more inclined to join than others.

Customising Clubs

Set different open days, open hours, required club outfits, subscription fees, gender, age, career and trait requirements/restrictions, forbidden actions etc.

Autonomy

Allow or restrict autonomy in different ways. Make clubs open or closed invite, allowing or disallowing sims to join, leave, or be kicked out of clubs with or without your own input. Put club boards around town and let sims browse. Impress observers by having a great club session and watch them beg to join!

Tournaments

Win tournaments and gain club acclaim. Get cash prizes, find yourself in the newspaper, and find out if any of your fellow club members are playing for the opposing team. Your own sim isn’t exempt from the repercussions of being a club traitor!

Banking

Create Bronzo accounts for your sims. You can link these accounts to schedulers and have the club fee delivered straight into the account. Take out loans, find the best interest rates online and stay out of your overdraft. Try not to get your account details stolen at the all new ATMs that you can place around town and don’t leave your debit card laying around near strangers!

๑༄ ‧₊˚ This guy just wants to be helpful and be able to be with you whenever he has spare the time. I think being so close to his siblings made him love spending quality time with people he loves so that definitely translates into his relationship with you

⤷“Neteyam, where are you going?” Neytiri questioned, placing down the basket she attempted to weave.

“yn is going to help me with my free diving, maybe even teach me how to hunt.” He sounded giddy and was clearly ready to go. His mother smiled and looked down at her lap.

“Alright, do not get into any trouble.” Neteyam nodded frantically and without another second he took off towards the shore.

“Surely it cannot be that different than what Tsireya has been teaching us.”

The two of you bobbed up and down in the water, letting the waves gently jostle you while you taught Neteyam.

“You are right, not too different. But hunting under the water asks you to be able to move your breath around your body in a different way that just free diving.” You explained.

The distance between you closed and you placed a hand on Neteyam’s chest.

“Imagine the breath you take flowing all throughout your body.” His chest slowly expanded and deflated under your palm. “Like…Rain trickling from leaf to leaf, like wind weaving itself through the trees.”

Neteyam’s snorted and you whined, “Come one, you almost had it!”

He continued to laugh and brought a hand up to his face.

“I’m sorry! I’m sorry. It’s just…The way you explained it. I could tell you were really trying to explain it in a way that you thought I would get.”

Heat crept up to your face and you looked away, a little embarrassed.

“I thought it might help you..,”

Neteyam’s laughing died down and he took your hand in his under the water, feeling a little bad.

“It did, I didn’t mean to make you feel bad. I think it is adorable you are trying to…customise your teachings for me.” He brought your hand up to his chest again and took a deep breath.

“Now, tell me what to do again.”

LO’AK

๑༄ ‧₊˚ I don’t know about you, but I can totally imagine Lo’ak bringing you things he finds pretty or things he thinks you will find pretty. It might just be me over exaggerating that lone wolf, not-like-other-guys quality about him but in my head, he’s quirky like that

⤷”Lo’ak? Lo’ak!” You called. He was just next to you…Where could he have wondered off to? Leaping over a small creek, you continued to scan the foliage around you maybe to catch a glimpse of him.

The ground was moist beneath you noticed as you sat down, opting to wait for Lo’ak to turn up again like he always did. Your eyes drifted shut and you let yourself away with the gently breeze that combed and wove itself through the tall trees and colourful bushes. So caught up in the environment around you, you didn’t notice the sneaking footsteps behind you.

Lo’ak crept up behind you, a colourful flower in between his fingers. While sneaking through the thicket, he had noticed it and was immediately entranced by it’s delicate petals and long stamen. After sayings a quick prayer to Eywa in exchange for this beautiful gift, he plucked it and made his way back to you.

Now right behind you, he gently picked up the long braid that protected your tsaheylu and wove the stem through the intricately woven hair. You gasped and turned around suddenly, your hair slapping Lo’ak right across the face and he sputtered.

“Oh, Lo’ak! You scared me!” You gasped and punched him pathetically in the arm. He laughed and came to sit next to you.

“There was a flower, a pretty one. I thought you might like it.” He gently picked up the large plait and showed where he had woven the flower through. A smile settled across your lips.

“Thank you, Lo’ak, it’s beautiful.”

Lo’ak said nothing just smiled bashfully and shuffled a bit closer to you, threading his fingers through yours.

JAKE

Words of affirmation & physical touch

๑༄ ‧₊˚ Over the years, the world has worn on Jake. He’s a father and he will stop at nothing to protect his family. He worries, worries, worries CONSTANTLY, so the days where he can let the weight slip from his shoulders and just gather you in his embrace and shower you in gooey loving words feel all the more sweet to him.

⤷“Whose kids are those?” Jake sighed as he fell down next to you. “Not mine, that’s for sure. I was never that hyper as a kid.”

A laugh bubbles up from your stomach as you adjusted Tuk on your chest.

“Are you sure? Maybe they don’t mirror your childhood, but they do remind me of when you first arrived here. All clumsy and eager in your new body.” He laughed at that and wrapped his arm around you.

The sound of the boys in the river playing not far away washes over the two of you both. After a while, you remove Tuktirey from your breast and up to your shoulder to clear her airway of bubbles.

Jake’s eyes lingered on you and his youngest and smiled. He brought a hand up to gently pat her back and Tuk responded with a gurgle. He took her from your arms and lay the baby across his chest, then pulled you closer by the arm around your shoulders.

You nestled yourself into his side and lifted a finger up to stroke your baby’s cheek. She cooed and you both smiled.

“I don’t say it enough but,” you turned your head up to look at your mate, “thank you.”

“For what?”

“For everything. For them-” he looked to the direction of his other children who were still occupied in the stream “-for her-” now looking at Tuk “-Everything. I don’t know where I would be today without you.”

No words were needed after that. As a tear rolled down your cheek, you closed your eyes and rest.

We could live a little larger, split the dividends

Critical Role, Laerryn/Loquatius, 1136 words

“They just need to be.... Pretty,” Laerryn says, gesturing helplessly in an attempt to communicate some ephemeral, nebulous concept of beauty that exists only as an idea in words in her head with no associated imagery. The dwarf behind the counter smiles at her. Fuck, she hopes she’s not recognizable enough to be identified by random service workers. Probably she should have set her spiteful petulance aside and actually listened to Patia’s commentary on the public persona of the previous Architect Arcane. It’s only been a year. Surely she’s not recognizable.

“Are we aiming for a gift? For your mother? Or perhaps an apology of some sort? Sympathies on an illness?” She has an illness, all right.

Laerryn clasps her hands behind her back to keep them still. “No? No. None of those. They’re for... a person. I have an appointment this evening-- a meeting? I think he’d like flowers--”

She’s already spent almost an hour on her hair, and she’d switched between two jackets literally dozens of times. And then she’d got thoroughly distracted by a folder of rough sketches Nydas had left on her kitchen table a week ago, which had eaten up half an hour she didn’t have. Luckily Evandrin had Sent to her to remind her of the time, because he knows her upsettingly well.

So now she’s shifting from foot to foot impatiently, mentally counting seconds as this dwarf looks at her like she’s a small child.

“Is this a personal or professional meeting?”

“Personal,” she croaks out, her voice shifting embarrassingly high at the end of the word.

“And do you know what sort of flowers this person prefers? Colours? Scents?”

“Pretty ones,” she says, exasperated. They’re going around in circles.

The first arrangement the dwarf draws her attention to is some sort of bright pink and white monstrosity that makes her take a physical step back. The next mostly greenery, strange plants and grasses with oddly coloured flowers and weirdly shaped leaves. It appeals to her on a scientific level and a fuck tradition level, but it’s not exactly pretty. He’d either love it or hate it and she’s not willing to live with that uncertainty. Eventually they land on a dense combination of delicate purple flowers and lacey white leaves with a cluster of long elegant blue flowers standing tall at the centre. There’s something there that smells almost like his magic. Which she knows for purely scientific reasons. She’s never met anyone whose magic had such a distinctly alien sensation to it.

“If you want something more customised you’ll need to send a message ahead of time,” the dwarf says. “I’m usually here by noon, if you Send, and otherwise we have a drop box at the front if you’d like to leave a note.”

“This is... a one time thing,” Laerryn says, blithely unaware of her future.

“Hello, darling!”

He’s leaning against a statue, silvery violet hair all slicked back out of his face, eyelids brushed with sparkling powder and shoes so shiny the setting sun glints off of them. His eyes are a startlingly deep green, something unnatural and mesmerising. She kind of hates that she always has to ask to see his real face. He’s still just slightly taller than her. It’s infuriating.

She glances around warily, but there’s nobody close enough to hear his greeting.

“Hi,” she says, once she’s closer. “I’m late, I think. Sorry. I-- this is gonna happen. You should just know that.”

“It’s a lovely view,” he says, and then winks because he’s the worst.

“You really just use up all the charm on your day job, huh,” she says, and then “Fuck. Ignore that.”

“You think I’m charming.” He’s far too smug and far too honestly flattered. She can feel the heat rushing to her face and her ears. Every time her ears twitch the delicate copper chains running through her earrings swing very slightly and it makes her hyper-aware that she’s dressed up specifically because she wants to look nice for this man.

“Infer whatever you want,” she says, determinedly keeping her shoulder straight.

His smile sofens. “Usually I prefer hard facts. But maybe in this case I can make an exception.”

She is already making more exceptions for Loquatius Seelie than she knows what to do with.

She loses the battle with her body, hunches her shoulders. Eyes focused on the darkened windows of the Enchantment Guild off to their left she shoves the flowers in his direction. “Here. These. These are yours now.”

He accepts the flowers from her hands gently. “Laerryn, these are lovely. Thank you, darling.” He keeps calling her that. It makes her feel something.

There’s something happening to his cheeks when she looks back at him, a silvery sheen like mercury, darting across his skin and then vanishing.

I’ve reserved a table for us nearby if you’re still interested in dinner,” he says. “But that can be easily cancelled if you’d prefer something else.”

He tucks the flowers into the crook of his right arm, shifting them around a few times. Fuck. Of course he wouldn’t know what to do with them for the entire evening.

“Dinner is fine,” she blirts out, so that she doesn’t appologize for her stupid stupid gift.

“Excellent.”

They offer their arms to each other at the same time. It feels like the most awkward moment of her life, which is fucking saying something. Loquatius just laughs, and offers her his hand instead. She takes it, because there’s no one around to see and his fingers are long and elegant and cool, well-manicured and soft. She wonders if, as a Changeling, things like calluses and scars are foreign concepts. She wants to ask him, so she does.

The conversation takes them all through the walk to the restaurant and their first glass of wine. She desperately wants to take notes, but she forces her hands to still, keeps her focus intentionally on him as best she can. She doesn’t know, yet, if he can appreciate the effort she’s making, but it feels good to make it.

Once they’ve finished their salads, he smiles at her and says “so do you have any conscious control over your ears, or do they just do that on their own?”

Her hand flies up to press her right ear down against her skull. “What do you mean--” He’s laughing at her. He’s laughing at her, but it’s the way Van or Nydas laughs at her, mostly kind. She drops her hand. “I deserved that.”

“Only a little,” he says. “But let me assure you, I’ve answered every possible question about being a Changeling at least ten times.”

“Even the sex ones?”

He grins, startled and white and sharp. “Especially the sex ones. But you get a free pass on those.”
