Welcome back to the Starcrossed AU, revolving around Damien, son of The Devil and King Dice, who falls head over heels for Ivy, daughter of Cagney Carnation and Hilda Berg.

I started this piece a few months back because @hey-imma-fangirl followed me, and I LOVE their artwork involving Cuphead and their AU. So, in addition to a few things I have been meaning to draw anyways, I also drew Everette Morningstar, their DevilDice fan child!

The problem is that I got hella distracted, and I only just recently found this when going through my WIP folder and deleting stuff I was never going to touch again. So, I finished it today!

So yeah, here are some doodles of Lola plus a mini comic of Don finding her

Oh, and Puphead. He sorta likes her, I'll..talk about it later, maybe.

Backstory below!

Project Cola:

Project Cola is an operation to bring a daughter back to her grieving parents.

It started after Lucky, a deadly gangster and mob boss and Betty, a famous singer and dancer, lost their one and only daughter, Lola, to a rival gang in a shoot out while out for a day of fun. Like many parents, Lucky and Betty were devastated by the loss of Lola and found it hard to move on and accept that she was gone. No matter the days, months or years.

It was taking a a heavy toll on both the parents and the gang, but they managed to pull through..for a while. After the famous story passed through the news that two boys managed to defeat The Devil and free everyone from their contracts, Lucky heard about Dr. Kahl, a brilliant scientist that managed to put a soul into a machine. Still grieving Lola, the gangster met up the the scientist and asked for help. He offered a shit load of money in exchange for one thing

His daughter.

Dr. Kahl thought about it and eventually agreed. Project Cola had begun, but it was kept from the public. Lucky didn't want anyone to know, not even his wife. He wanted it to be a surprise.

At first, everything was going smoothly. Lucky was given frequent updates on How Lola was doing, and Dr. Kahl had enough money to buy whatever he needed. Even the early prototypes, as buggy as they were, showed signs that Lola was in there. She could talk, walk, run, jump and do what any normal kid could. This all came crashing down when Lola was assumed ready, however.

Luckily wasn't just contempt with ONLY bringing his daughter back. No, he also wanted a weapon. Something that could obliterated anything that dared touch him or gang. This paranoia of his was his downfall. As soon as it came to test the weapons in Lola's arsenal, she lost control and began to destroy the lab and anything else directly in her line of sight. She nearly killed those inside with her as well, including Dr. Kahl and Lucky.

At this point, Dr. Kahl decided to call it quits. He didn't know what it was about Lola, but he knew it was a terrible idea to complete her and he called it quits. Lucky attempted to have Kahl reconsider, but the doc already had made up his mind. Even when a gun was directly pointed at him. Someone had called local authorities and Lucky was arrested and set to prison, as long as everyone in his gang and Lola was locked up in a werehouse, never to be seen again.

Until years later when one of gang's members, Don Dynamite Jr. was finally released from prison and sent home. On his way home, Don stumbled upon the wearhouse to gather parts for a new arm as the one he had on was outdated by the time on his release. That's when he discovered Lola, but was understandably confused. She was supposed to be dead..why was there a robotic double—? The dynamite accidentally pushed skme buttons and released the android, but he was able to shut her off.

After some self convincing, Don figured he'd take her home and try to fix her up. Thus, Lola became Don's new child and he's been making sure she stays out of trouble! Though she did meet the boys one day as she was exploring the city, but that's a story for another day.

Della's parents made a deal with the devil so that their rink is the only rink in inkwell isles. Unfortunately, her parents spend most of their time at the Devils Casino. Leaving Della to run the rink most of the time,

Which is fine!

Until two brothers with porcelain for heads show up, needing to fight someone, and Della's the only Disco on duty.
