ANYWAY HERE’S A MASSIVE LIST OF OBSERVATIONS AND THOUGHTS FROM REWATCHING THE CABIN VOD AHAHAHAHA
(Spoilers)
The first thing Ranboo clearly says is, “It wasn’t supposed to…be like this…” They are very disoriented and confused, verging on distress.
When the mask turns on, they panic and yell “no” several times, before standing and going, “Where am I?” and “This place sure looks weird!” in the NPC voice. I believe he knew something was wrong and was able to scream, but not anything more before they took full control.
The NPC behavior isn't as obvious as it is in "Warehouse", but I definitely see it now that I'm looking for it. Pretty unsettling.
Ranboo checks locations they had already looked at before the mask turned on. (The door, the bookshelf, the ashes, etc)
Ranboo can see us, but with the masks influence we appear as a “weird painting”.
When he is flipping through the magazines and waiting for chat to decide where they go, he says, “These are just old pajamas.” I think that’s what they say, I have no idea what it means.
When Ranboo first goes to look at the window, he bends out of frame and messes with something (I think the VHS’s) and says, “Those don’t seem too important.” Pretty interesting considering he later uses a VHS to communicate with the one trying to get him out. (Showfalls influence?)
He’s complained about his head hurting twice now, I think this may become a pattern
They find a set of teeth in the drawer
The red key is IN the red bat- mirroring how the key is in Slimecicle later? Did he have to dig into a dead animal to get it here as well and we just didn’t see it because of the mask?
Ranboo’s spacial awareness seems impaired. He doesn’t know where Slime went because he can’t directly see him. This happens again later with Sneeg, Ranboo looking the entirely wrong way when Sneeg calls out. Both Slime and Sneeg call attention to this- “It’s a house, there’s door frames! How did you get inside if you do not know what a door is?” and “How do you not hear me?...How did you look over there, man?”
JUST realized the key colors match the “characters” we’ve been introduced to. (The Savior, The Taken, The Villain)  I don’t know if there’s further symbolism connected to where the keys are found and stuff but it’s pretty neat.
When Slime does the pinkie swear promising that Ranboo can leave after he does the cooking challenge, they have their fingers crossed behind their back.
Slimy Guts is one of the available ingredients, bit sus considering our new knowledge. Also chinese leftovers got 0% of the votes LOL
The random cutaways are kinda strange. Don’t know what to make of them.
Ranboo uses a pretty big knife to open a little package of slime, is instructed to “beat up” the food and call it names, and later he offers to cut Slime off the floor when he gets stuck. I think there’s a good chance ranboo stabbed someone and made a meal with their guts. Or something in that vein. (Several times Ranboo points out that these aren’t REAL ingredients and he doesn’t know how someone could eat it. What’s happening is probably so horrifying that he can’t imagine it as something normal like chicken, so his brain is substituting with stuff that’s weird but TECHNICALLY not morally reprehensible.)
Fridge says “BEHIND YOU” on it
Gummy worm was in the freezer, body parts can be kept in freezers, idk
Someone really likes mayo, cause they stopped it when it was on the turntable and gave the camera a thumbs up
Slime tries the meal but he’s really reluctant and needs specific circumstances to do it. If the theory of the meal being human guts it true, the hesitation probably didn’t have anything to do with airplane noises…
What is in the backgrounds of these cutaways? It’s so blurry idk, I can’t tell. It’s sort of purply.
The dish in the end turns to slime with all the possible ingredients mixed in, even the ones we didn’t pick. In universe it reinforces that our choices don’t really matter, from a meta perspective it’s probably so they only had to make one slime prop.
The timing of the marshmallow string stretching as slime tries to feed ranboo is HYSTERICAL, golden comedic timing
The mask starts blinking when ranboo gets the tape message.
The person on tape instructs Ranboo “not to resist”. I believe this is said in the second message as well. Perhaps they don’t want Ranboo drawing attention to themself
Like in the room they woke up in, Ranboo checks areas multiple times, seemingly with no memory of the first time he checks. He does the exact same “flashlight in the eyes” gag each time he picks it up. It really enforces that in this moment he is a puppet, not making his own choices.
“What’s over here?” NPC!Ranboo back in full swing with this dialogue.
Ranboo did the cooking game, Sneeg didn’t. Sneeg refused to kill? Maybe cause he didn’t have a mask? Hmmm idk
The baby skull on a background shelf has a MASSIVE forehead
Light starts flickering when slime appears
What does the fight between evil sneeg and ranboo mean? Maybe they were both trapped and had a fight?? What does it mean without the obscuring mask?
Ranboo is able to get sneeg out of slimes influence, and sneeg says a few times afterward that he’s immune now. Ranboo can help people get out of Showfalls influence? (The gooey hat does bring Sneeg out of the influence later, extension of that Ranboo effect?)
When Sneeg looks to see if Slime is in the box, there is a “shhhh” sound effect
Sneeg says Frank is his eyes and ears- was Frank a whistleblower, feeding information about Showfall to the outside? Unsure
Goo chest- possibly full of human bits? Corpse in a trunk is a pretty common trope
Jello on the shelves of Slime’s room
Same picture that was on the fridge is in a frame on the table
Ranboo looks at the mirror the same way twice, reinforcing the NPC vibes
Another false choice- the story only progresses if you go to sleep. Talking to Sneeg only gets some more NPC dialogue. Most of sneeg’s other dialogue sounds genuine, so this is strange.
Sneeg seems unable to move or act while ranboo is asleep
Could the eight hours that passed be literal? If things are obstructed by the mask it very well could be
“You would have known had you been awake!” Before the reveal of the mask making things look different I thought the streams were going to be revealed to be a dream. Clearly it’s not entirely a dream, but this dialogue is still fun.
SHARK PICKLE LOBSTER TIME!! What would this be in real life? An actual human experiment? Security dogs? Full on hallucination?
This is a pretty funny way to promote the merch honestly lol (referring to ranboo using his merch to trick the thing into cage)
Ranboo seems baffled by his idle fighting animation for a second. He says, “Why am I just standing here? What’s going…” and when the camera pulls back the mask is flickering.
When Slime sends his ghouls to grab Ranboo I believe he tries to move out of the way. They kind of jerk a bit, like they're trying to move their feet, before saying, “Why can’t I just- get out of here? I just need to get out of here-” The mask is once again flickering during this
After the fight the mask starts flickering a LOT, plus the other lights in the cabin. Tv comes back on.
The TV man is named Hetch? He says, “My name is-” I think he says Hetch? Unsure
Mans gets drugged up at the end, rip

Charlie is Showfall's son. Sneeg is Showfall's son. Ethan is not. Ethan is a scrawny teenager with broken glasses, scared of Showfall and eating and filming. Ethan is different.
Charlie could remember when he first met Ethan, it was strange. Other than Sneeg, he had never actually met another child before, only ever the employees.
Ethan was supposed to be in the upcoming show, supposed to be Charlie’s friend, someone new so Sneeg wouldn't be on screen as much. They had put the two of them in a room together, tried to get them to form a bond. It didn't work.
Ethan was scared, Charlie remembered it clearly. Ethan’s wide, teary eyes behind his cracked glasses, the way he was shaking, how Charlie couldn't tear his eyes away from the freshly reset boy, how he could still smell the blood that stained Ethan not long before.
Charlie was sure that the employee watching them wasn't helping, the employee that Charlie felt like he recognized, the employee that was holding a mask.
Charlie knew what the masks were for, They had used them on Sneeg a lot, they calm people down, it was like the shots They give Sneeg, maybe the only difference was that the shots made Sneeg tired.
Charlie thought it was a little strange that They let Ethan be unstable as long as They did, he thought it would've been better if They had just put the mask on him to begin with, the only thing They did was put it on him and guide him out of the room. It made Charlie uneasy.
Charlie would never doubt Showfall, and he didn't when They put the mask on Ethan, but he noticed that They didn't treat Ethan the way They would've treated Sneeg. If it were Sneeg crying, They would've hit him, put a syringe in his neck, drag him to the dark room, tear a tooth out, cut him open, burn the Showfall logo into his skin, carve a cross into his arm, whatever They felt was necessary.
Charlie tried not to think about it too much.
It wasn't like Sneeg never deserved it.
Ethan hadn't changed much since then, still scared in between the shows, he had just gotten a little better at hiding it. Not good enough. Charlie could still tell. Charlie could still tell, which meant Showfall could still tell, so God could still tell.
Ethan needs to pray more, devote himself. He will get better if he does.
They had given the three food, Charlie knew the routine. They would give them food, Sneeg would immediately go to it, Charlie would ask Ethan if he wants any, and Ethan will say no, and Charlie will leave him to go eat.
Or, that would've been the routine, if They had not given them a full meal.
Charlie will not be greedy.
Ethan will not be selfish.
Ethan will eat.
It was rather annoying, Ethan begging for Charlie to let go of him, repeating over and over that he's not hungry.
If he had not known better, he would've told Ethan that it's a sin to lie, he would've prayed for Ethan right then and there, but he did know better. He knew that Sneeg will get impatient, that Sneeg will eat all of it himself if left alone long enough.
Sneeg is greedy.
Charlie is getting tired of him.
He will deal with it later.
It was dark out, it wasn't dark when Charlie had left, it was a long walk to Ethan's house. Ethan lived far, far out from the woods that Charlie and Sneeg's cabin resided in. Ethan lived in a small house, one that was surrounded by other houses that all looked exactly the same, other houses that Charlie's never seen anybody in.
Charlie could see the lights on in the cabin, Sneeg wasn't sitting in the dark, which was good, maybe he's finally gotten over the lights being "too bright".
He had stopped for a brief moment, passing a glance at the wooden cross in the yard. He thought about praying for Ethan again, but thought better of it. He didn't want the food to spoil, or for Sneeg to be sinful.
Charlie thought it didn't really make sense anymore, adding Ethan to this, it made sense when it was just him and Sneeg, Sneeg would eat the organs and Charlie would eat the meat, they would both get their part, but now Ethan's here. Ethan’s here and he needs to eat just as much as they do. Charlie and Sneeg would have less food to eat now. Neither of them enjoy sharing very much.
Ethan never really liked the cabin, or the woods that surrounded it. When Charlie had asked him about it he said it was creepy, that he felt like he was being watched, which was surely why Ethan was fighting this much.
Charlie was almost struggling now, Ethan was practically thrashing trying to get him to let go. Ethan almost sounded scared as he pleaded. Charlie ignored it, tightening his grip on Ethan and pushing through the cabin door. Sneeg wasn't in the living room, or the kitchen, Charlie could only assume he was in the basement already, either sinning or torturing himself.
Ethan had gotten louder, nearly yelling as Charlie dragged him to the basement. It was upsetting that Ethan had become this selfish so quickly, Charlie thought he would've been better than Sneeg.
Sneeg was sitting there, hand in his mouth and staring, and, upon looking at the food, Charlie could see why.
It was fresh, maybe the freshest they've ever had, it almost still looked normal. As normal as it could, anyway. The skin was loose and its mouth was slightly open, Charlie could see the jaw and hips sticking out more, the bruises at the elbows, the wound in its throat. It wasn't bloody, They must've cleaned it, but it still smelled like blood. Charlie had to bite his tongue to stop himself from being like Sneeg.
It was about the same size as Ethan, maybe a little shorter. Maybe he was supposed to be a new cast member? Charlie didn't really care, he just noticed. Charlie's never really cared about how it looked.
Charlie could only admire it for a moment, disturbed by something like water hitting the floor behind him.
Ethan had made himself vomit. It was more watery than it should've been, a greenish-yellow instead of red, no chunks of meat in it. It reminded Charlie of Sneeg. Gross and unnatural.
Charlie couldn't quite make out Ethan's muttering, not that he really cared, he was busy watching Sneeg.
He almost enjoyed it, watching Sneeg chew the flesh off his own hands instead of off the food in front of him, eating himself rather than risking getting in trouble. He could see every flinch, every time regret flashed in Sneeg's eyes, Sneeg scrunching his face every time his teeth dug too deep into his skin, the blood dripping down his hands, the blood staining his teeth and around his mouth. Charlie could make out the bruises on his jaw.
Sneeg was pathetic, and Ethan wasn't any better.
Ethan had thrown up again while Charlie was watching Sneeg, it was the same wrong color, still too watery, still nothing in it. Maybe something was wrong with him? Maybe They didn't reset him right?
Charlie would have to ask about it later.
As much as Charlie would've enjoyed watching Sneeg eat his own hands, he decided against it. They had let them have food, and, unfortunately, that meant Sneeg could eat too, They would've taken him away otherwise.
Sneeg was waiting patiently, and it was clearly running thin as he stared at Charlie, his shaking and shredded hands slowly pulling away from his mouth, almost like he was struggling to take them away. Charlie had given him a nod, and Sneeg was almost immediately on his knees tearing its stomach open.
Sneeg knew how to do it, he could do it faster than Charlie could. Sneeg could open it with his bare hands, and Charlie couldn't. Charlie hated it. Charlie hated Sneeg.
Ethan was screaming, still trying to pull away from Charlie, trying to leave. Charlie could still hear the bones cracking and the blood and organs squelching as Sneeg ripped it apart. Those were some of the noises he enjoyed more than screaming.
It was only a few more moments before Sneeg had stilled, covered in blood that was not his own, staring at his ruined hands that he was struggling to not lick the blood off of before moving.
Charlie went towards it, dragging Ethan, who was still screaming to let go, behind him like he had been for the past hour, and crouched down to pick out what he wanted.
He didn't enjoy the organs as much as Sneeg did, he preferred the forearms, or the hands, but Ethan needed to eat, and Ethan clearly wouldn't get any himself. Charlie had taken the liver for Ethan, the largest one, most likely to make him sick, more for him to eat. Charlie would eat last, after Ethan had ate and Sneeg had finished with the organs.
The second Charlie had gotten up Sneeg had immediately taken his spot, nearly falling over in the process, digging his bloody and mutilated hands into the corpse, it reminded Charlie of those animals they had learned about, the bigger ones that would kill others, others that were too slow or got cornered, tearing into it as if it meant nothing, as if it wasn't a blessing from God.
Charlie worked on the liver as he thought about it, putting part of it in his mouth and tearing it with his free hand. It was a rather difficult position, Charlie trying to rip it into smaller pieces while still keeping Ethan in place.
The liver was odd in his mouth, he never did enjoy the organs that much, it was soft, like jelly that was meat flavored, and it was smooth, he almost had trouble keeping it in place.
He had gotten a good chunk torn off, one that was small enough for Ethan to eat. He dropped the rest of it, he could only hold so much in one hand, and extended his arm for Ethan to take it.
Ethan didn't, of course. He wasn't even looking at Charlie or screaming anymore. Ethan was watching Sneeg. Charlie could feel him shaking, hear him struggle to breathe, see the horror on his face.
Charlie was pretty sure he understood, Sneeg was greedy, unholy. Sneeg was coated in blood that was both his and not his, mutilated hands and bloody teeth tearing apart an intestine. He would rip a chunk off, shove it in his mouth, and immediately tear another one off, and do it again. It was like he swallowed without chewing, trying to just get all of it inside of him rather than actually eat.
Sneeg was ungrateful, he did not pray, did not thank Showfall, did not thank God. Sneeg did not deserve to eat. Charlie did not stop him, Showfall wanted Sneeg to eat, so he will.
Showfall wanted Ethan to eat, so he will. Charlie will make sure of it.
Ethan had long since stopped pulling away, he was static now, still watching Sneeg, still shaking. It was pathetic. For a moment, and only a moment, Charlie thought that Ethan would be like this forever, that he would never be any better than Sneeg, that Ethan would never be like him, that maybe Showfall had picked the wrong actor.
Ethan will reach his full potential, Charlie was sure of it, Showfall had picked Ethan for a reason. They've been careful since their first, and only, failure that was Sneeg.
Ethan will reach his full potential, and the first step to it was eating. Showfall had planned this, just as They plan everything, Charlie knew they did. Charlie will do what They want, he will fulfill his role in Their plan. Charlie will make Ethan eat. Charlie will please Them, he will, he always has.
Ethan isn't like Charlie, or Sneeg, he was something different. He isn't one of Showfall's sons. Ethan's thrashing and screaming was proof of it.
Ethan is ungrateful. Unholy.
They had been nice enough to let the three of them have a full meal, and Ethan wouldn't eat any of it. He had the nerve to act disgusted and make himself vomit when Charlie had led him to it. It made Charlie want to kill him, to take his organs out the same way Showfall takes Sneeg's out. Ethan did not deserve to eat.
It was the most food Ethan had seen since he came here, and he was being ungrateful.
Charlie had let go of Ethan's wrist, it was only to pry his mouth open, Ethan had taken it as a chance to run. Charlie expected that, of course. He had learned from watching Sneeg run the second an employee let go of him.
Ethan didn't get far, maybe two steps before Charlie had thrown his entire body weight onto him, something he had learned from getting Sneeg to stop running. Charlie could hear a crack as Ethan's face hit the stairs.
Charlie could smell the blood coming from Ethan, the strong metallic smell, the fresh blood that replaced the smell of the old. Maybe Charlie had gotten lucky.
Ethan was only unconscious for a second, Charlie only got a second to drag him down the stairs before he had started kicking and screaming again.
Ethan was focused on getting out, not actually the means of it. He didn't hurt Charlie as much as he could have, and when he did it was when he wasn't trying to. Maybe that was the only difference between him and Sneeg. Sneeg did focus on getting out, but he was violent. Sneeg would claw Charlie's throat out with his bare hands if it meant he could get away.
Maybe Ethan wasn't entirely a failure.
Charlie had pinned Ethan down the same way the employees would pin Sneeg down, sitting on his torso so he couldn't move as much, getting violent if he tried. Charlie is Showfall's son, mimicking the exact movements They would have done if it were Sneeg, the same way a child would've copied their father.
Charlie stopped for a moment, stopped before he made Ethan eat, just to look at him. Ethan looked scared, broken glasses and parts of the lenses stuck in his skin, bleeding from his nose and where the glass shards were, tears running down his face.
It was stupid, Ethan should know that They don't like crying. Ethan was still new, he had come from the bad place, he wasn't fully enlightened yet, but he should know that They don't like crying. He didn't pay attention. He didn't learn.
He was still fighting as Charlie shoveled it into his mouth, clawing at Charlie's arms with tears and blood running down his face, gagging and trying to spit it out. Something Sneeg would never do, a reminder that Ethan is not, and will not ever be, Charlie's brother.
Ethan had made himself throw up again, it looked more normal now, red with meat in it. Ethan choked on it for a moment, Charlie expected that to happen, Sneeg's choked on his own blood in the same position. (Charlie thought it could be because they were on their back, the liquid doesn't have much of an exit, it can only go back down. They had never given him or Sneeg the reason why it happened.)
Sneeg didn't bother help teaching Ethan. Sneeg is greedy, shoving as much as he can into his mouth and choking on it, Charlie could hear it. Sneeg was worse than Ethan, getting blood and ripped apart viscera all over him and the floor, more blood and more guts every time Charlie looked. It was almost making it difficult for Charlie to help Ethan, he was still trying to leave and the wet blood on the floor was making it hard for Charlie to keep him in place. The blood was staining Ethan's clothes and hair and skin. It didn't mix well on Ethan like it did on Charlie.
Charlie would have to tell Them that Sneeg is being greedy again. Maybe he would learn this time.
Charlie didn’t really enjoy feeding Ethan, but he was doing what he was supposed to. He was doing what Showfall wanted. He was doing what God wanted. Charlie was doing what he was supposed to. He was pleasing God and Showfall. That was enough to make him happy.
Charlie was happy, he's doing what he was made for, how could he not be? Even if it hurt, if Ethan was making his arms bleed, if it reminded him of how Sneeg had pinned him to the ground and choked him to death, if it reminded him of the employees gutting his brother, Charlie was happy.
Ethan will be happy too, when he gets past this, when he stops being scared, when he finally learns. Ethan will learn, he will not turn out like Sneeg, violent and uncooperative. Ethan will be happy. Ethan will not become Showfall's son, but he will become something close to it. Charlie will make sure of it. Showfall will make sure of it.
Charlie had decided that Ethan had eaten enough, he had given Ethan about half of it, it would be enough to make him sick. Ethan was still bloody, still stained with vomit, still crying. They hated crying, and Charlie hated crying. Charlie hoped They would torture Ethan the same way They torture Sneeg for crying.
Charlie had gotten off of him, watched for a moment as Ethan rolled onto his stomach and started gagging again, and tossed the rest of the liver towards Sneeg. Almost as if They had known Ethan was done, an employee had come to take him away, just as one always did. It was a different employee than the last one, black slicked back hair, the mask sat awkwardly, like there was something on the face under it. The way he carried himself was familiar.
A mask was gently set on Ethan's face, despite his fighting. It made Charlie uneasy. None of the employees had ever put a mask on Sneeg like that. Why was Ethan treated differently?
Charlie had stopped the employee before the two left, explained what Sneeg had done. He had explained it much worse, of course. Sneeg needed to learn. He was given a nod of acknowledgement before the employee guided Ethan out.
Charlie had seen it enough times to know what could happen to Sneeg. An employee would pin him to the floor (never the wall, They had tried it once. They couldn't get a good enough grip on both of Sneeg's arms. He killed himself before They could.) and another would cut him open, gut him like he was an animal. It would be slow, slow enough to make Sneeg want to live, for the blood to pool under him and leave an ugly stain on the floor, for him to stop fighting, for him to fantasize about doing the same to Charlie. Charlie had seen it before. He liked to pretend that he never did.
Sneeg knows he did.
And Charlie knows that Sneeg knows.
The other thing They liked to do was rip his teeth out, Charlie had seen that too. He only really saw it once, They did it in the living room of the cabin.
Sneeg had done something wrong (maybe bad-mouthed Them?), and whatever he did was so bad They decided that he needed to be punished there. Charlie wasn't sure what they used to take his teeth out, it looked, somewhat, not really, like the bolt cutters, but it was smaller.
Charlie had watched, watched as they pulled Sneeg's teeth out while he apologized and begged for them to stop, he only left the room when he started to smell the blood.
Sneeg had that thing around his mouth the next time Charlie saw him, the thing that They put on him after he bites an employee, that keeps his mouth shut and covers most of his face. The lower half of Sneeg's face was swollen and bruised when They took it off him, he hadn't been reset, Charlie could tell, but he had his teeth back.
He never saw Sneeg's teeth get ripped out again, but it still happened. He would wake up to Sneeg screaming for them to stop, the sudden quiet when They were done, the sound of Sneeg being dragged out of the cabin. Sneeg would have that thing on his mouth again the next day, They would take it off him if he was good, and his face would always be swollen and bruised. And he would always have his teeth back. Charlie could see the stitches in Sneeg's mouth when he opened it wide enough.
Charlie knew what They did to him.
He didn't like to think about it.
Charlie stared at Sneeg as he thought about it. Sneeg was nearly done by now, Charlie could see that there wasn't much left. Sneeg did not deserve to eat, blood and vomit smeared on his face and on his clothes, mutilated hands and remnants of guts on them.
Charlie is hungry.
