Fringed Leaf Frog (Cruziohyla craspedopus)
taken at the LA zoo in Los Angeles California
status: least concern
Currently these frogs seem to be doing quite well as much of their habitat is intact with minor localized habitat loss due to human activities. Nice to read about an animal that's doing pretty okay, right?

if you had to pick 3 to 5 frogs in an attempt to show off the diversity of frogs on a whole to some aliens, which frogs would you pick?
(is this just so I can see some funky frogs? maybe)
Flat–Round:
Pipa pipa and Breviceps macrops

Big–Small:
Conraua goliath and Paedophryne amauensis

And a fifth one for good measure: an arboreal, green, weird-shaped frog with stunning patterns.

Cruziohyla calcarifer, known by its
common names Splendid leaf frog or
Splendid treefrog.
Cruziohyla calcarifer is a rare, moderate
to large species of tree frog of the
genus Cruziohyla. It is distributed
across Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador,
Nicaragua and Panama. Males attain a
snout-to-vent length of 56.4 - 80.5 mm
while females reach 57.0 -88.8 mm
