          christian  was  one  of  talia’s  first  real  friends,  and  she  thinks  he’s  a  lot  softer  than  he  lets  on.  he  actually  makes  her  laugh  a  decent  amount,  and  his  company  when  he  was  temporarily  staying  at  talia’s  house  was  actually  really  nice  —  she  felt  a  lot  less  lonely  during  those  times.

i think kc's biggest flaw is that he refuses to really address the negatives / bad things in life ? he's so set on having fun and living it up and those definitely aren't always bad things in and of themselves, but like the whole relationship with his parents is a great example of how he deals with hurtful things in that he ... does not. they're buried under absolutely everything he can find and he thinks he can ignore everything bad forever but that's just not possible to maintain in any sort of long run ? similarly in this vein i think sometimes his reactions to bad things can seem kind of ... aloof because emotionally he is already ignoring it's existence even though he doesn't mean it in a mean way !

maybe kissing max in the crowd at battle of the bands wasn’t the best decision kem has ever made; not that it’s one he regrets or would do any differently. even now as he sits, still feeling somewhat guilty, about the fact he’s so nonchalantly sat on christian’s couch like the correlation between the two most important people in his life doesn’t exist. 

it’s fair to say he’s been avoiding such a conversation. at first there was no need, max and him were just... hanging out. it became something else along the lines, leaving this confrontation with christian to happen one way or another. he knows it’s better for him to tell him personally instead of christian finding out himself but... christian hasn’t mentioned it, so that’s good.  kind of.

“ hey, chris ?  ” kem has been glancing at christian ever so often for the part ten minutes but he’ll fix his gaze now. there’s still nerves, like he’s going to lose his best friend before he can even get all the words out. but there’s no turning back when he already knows he can’t hide his feelings from max much longer. “ there’s somethin’ i gotta talk to you about. ”

it should be worrying, how easy it is to just commit a crime like it’s just another regular day — and yet, there marty is, looking at jerry’s front door ( and the damned ‘for sale’ sign that marty wants to burn right there and then ), standing next to jamie and christian. “so,” they start, looking at christian and then jamie, “are we gonna pick the lock or just go for it?”
