For the first two and a half months of this year I had been experimenting to create work for the ‘Gatherers’ show due to take place @omvedgardens next week in conjunction with @throwncontemporary . I had been exploring the use of site specific clay and other materials as the basis for a body of work that responds to the physical location and it’s history. Unfortunately my fun has been cut short during lockdown and I have been unable to make anything over the last few weeks or progress the project further which has been very frustrating. However @thomas_broadhead had been visiting me during my early investigations and documenting the project through photographs, film and interviews with the intention of creating a film about the project. The show is thankfully going to go ahead albeit in a slightly different format to it’s original intention and over a longer timeframe. My contribution to the show will be the story so far told through the vehicle of Toms film about the project.
