Fiesta de la Cosmonáutica - 3 Conferencias
Durante abril se celebró la Fiesta de la Cosmonáutica. 50 aniversario del Alunizaje, la primera fotografía de un Agujero Negro, el ambiente tenso sobre las misiones al espacio, las misiones previstas a Marte, SpaceX... sí, de esto y más se habló en este mes.
Design Thinking - Diseño en el espacio
Por supuesto que si vamos a Marte, habrá un usuario. Por descontado también si hablamos sólo del Espacio Exterior. Incluso en un viaje interestelar, siempre habrá un usuario, y por lo tanto habrán cosas que deberemos de solucionar; he aquí el campo para diseñadores industriales.
Kaori Becerril, estudiante del CIDI, nos mostró el panorama actual de la situación hablándonos de personajes como Anthony Sims, DI en SpaceX, Carl Conlee de la NASA, los proyectos que están en progreso como Dragon 2, su crew, la Agencia Espacial Mexicana, entre otros.
Hizo hicapié en la importancia del método de diseño; no por estar en un contexto que aún nos resulta desconocido, hemos de olvidar las bases fundamentales del proceso de diseño, además de que la misma forma del proceso que nos deja saltar entre una etapa y otra es base de su riqueza a la hora de ponernos creativos.
Geofísica para el espacio
Aunque no estaba en mis planes, esta conferencia de la Dra. Guadalupe Cordero me mostró la relación entre la música, las matemáticas y el mapeado infrarrojo, y más información que sentí era demasiad para digerir en una sola conferencia. Por ejemplo, que nuestras plantas son verdes no precisamente por la clorofila, si no porque es el color verde del espectro visible el que reflejan dados los factores en los que se encuentra posicionada la Tierra con respecto del Sol. Así que sí es factible que existan planetas en cuya superficie vivieran seres orgánicos de otro color.
Hace poco vi un documental sobre la Creatividad y las formas de impulsarla y activarla, por decirlo de algún modo, y una de las conclusiones o ideas expuestas es que entre más variado sea el sujeto en sus temas de desarrollo, más ricas serán sus ideas.
Así que por ello, considero que valió la pena esta conferencia.
Misiones Apollo
El diseño del cohete, sus partes, dónde irían los cosmo y astronautas. Prueba y error, errores fatales y otras curiosidades nos las explicó Jorge Ramírez, estudiante de la facultad de Ingeniería.
Desde el contexto histórico de que Rusia, entonces la URSS, y EU tenían avances tecnológicos y rivalizaban (¿cuándo no?), la frase prometedora de JFK de que llegarían a la Luna y el conocimiento de los científicos alemanes puesto en manos de las dos potencias antes mencionadas, fue el inicio de estas misiones cuyas mejoras y errores fueron vitales para conseguir aquella foto emblemática de la tierra vista desde la Luna.
Dichas mejoras fueron gracias a un constante ir y venir después de las pruebas, tal como nosotros hacemos con nuestras pequeñas maquetas, sólamente cambia la escala y que ésos proyectos salieron del planeta.
Aún me resulta emocionante saber que ahí, en un puntito del espacio, se encuentra la humanidad, con todo lo que ha sido y lo que es, excepto con uno de sus habitantes quien es el fotógrafo.
