September 2022 wasn’t my best reading month as all the traveling took a toll. However, this is one of few months where I enjoyed all nine books that I read. I ended the month with Colleen Hoover’s book and I’m not reading anything else until tomorrow. I think I need to recharge by watching some television. My top 3 Reads of May 2022: 💥Technical by Alexandria House 💥Restore Me by J.L. Seegars 💥By The Book by Jasmine Guillory Each book had a main couple that touched me. They had a great back story and an angst filled journey to love. In each book, the hero helped support the heroine in their quest for a more fulfilling life/career. I smiled a lot and took pauses to savor certain pages again and again. They were just soooo good ❤️! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾Kudos @msalexhouse @jlseegarsauthor @jasminepics for stories with characters that had depth, evolved and had friends who had their backs. I really wanted to read an AAPI book for the #conscientiousreader challenge but Technical by Alexandria House worked for it. I will still try the book I bought Darling Venom by Parker S. 📌Weekend plans: 1. It’s the NBA All Star weekend so I’m definitely watching basketball. My favorite thing to watch is the 3 point contest. The game and the dunk contest has lost its luster but I’ll kinda watch it (which means I’ll have a book on my lap) 📚I am 34% into The Sun and her Star by Dylan Allen. I plan to finish it tomorrow and be ready for @lustylunchers bookclub meeting on Wednesday. 📍Black History Month Read with my children is And We Rise by Erica Martin. There are a few names and facts that I am hearing for the first time.
