Meet the amazing @cleanwaterplease I'm so happy we cross paths. You are truly one of a kind, a giver to humanity, and a gifted human whose heart is made of gold. You set an example of how people should treat one another. Unconditional love. Thanks for teaching me the Lion's Breath. Who knew I could roar like the Leo that I am. I'll be practicing it daily. To learn more about Lion's breath go to http://ift.tt/2maavRs "Lion's breath is the breathing technique, or pranayama, which goes with simhasana, or lion pose. It is a powerful breathing method that includes a forceful exhalation. The name refers to the fierce lion-like expression of the yogi's face and the roaring sound of the breath made when performing this pranayama. This breathing technique and the associated pose are well-known for their ability to reduce stress and anger through the active release of tension with the exhale. During the breath, all three bandhas can be engaged. Yogapedia explains Lion's Breath Lion's breath is performed by starting in simhasana then lowering the jaw to open the mouth wide, stretching the tongue out and curling it down. The gaze is toward the sky. The muscles at the front of the throat contract and a forceful exhalation is made with a roaring "haaaa" sound, feeling the air pass over the back of the throat. This can be repeated two or three times. Lion's breath is said to provide an ideal outlet for negative energy. The powerful exhalation and the engagement of the arms and shoulders are a manifestation of the release of negative energy from inside. It is said that many problems are a result of anger and resentment held inside and lion's breath, with simhasana, releases that energy. It is important that the exhalation is strong and full of intention, not half-hearted, in order to experience the full benefits. Lion's breath stimulates the manipura chakra, and may also improve self-esteem and feelings of empowerment." http://ift.tt/2lleZqi

This past Sunday, I had the pleasure of trying Yoga Nidra meditation for the first time. Thank you @cleanwaterplease for guiding me through that powerful meditation. I wasn't sure what to expect, but my forearms felt like there were electrons dancing all around it. It was very tingly, but also paralyzed. I felt my whole body go into this paralyzed state and each time Justin put his arm under certain parts like my fore arm, the energy transferred from my arm to his and slowly I regained mobility. My first session was a grounding meditation session that had me facing my fears where I could not stop crying for the full hour of the meditation. It left me feeling free as if weight was lifted off of me. I can't wait for my third session. Here's a little about nidra meditation. To learn more go to http://ift.tt/2kXrLrB It's an... "Opportunity to Learn About Yourself Intimately Some people crave the profound relaxation that this practice instills, while other practitioners use the non-judgmental and secure atmosphere that yoga nidra provides as a window into themselves. Facing our worst enemies and the things that scare us most is reason enough to run for the hills. Yoga nidra offers a space to explore what you need in the moment, as well as an opportunity to work on releasing long-held emotions. During yoga nidra you are able to experience an emotion and come “face to face” with what you want to overcome, without "diving into it" completely—meaning without feeling the emotion so completely that you become overwhelmed. Over time you continue to experience the emotion and associated feelings, moving deeper into the practice." http://ift.tt/2kJK6xb
