6. Anything that might inspire you subconsciously (i.e. this horse wasn't supposed to look like the Last Unicorn but I see it)

...How are you supposed to pick out unconcous inspirations, hmmm.... I think there must be some DNA of the Dnd monster manuals that I read a bunch as a kid, just from constant exposure. Even if I'm not really at the skill level for it to show, I think it probably comes across in my color choices? Maybe?

In the same vein, I used to want to be good enough to get my art onto magic the gathering cards and specifically tried to emulate the art on the cards during like, Return to Ravnica thereabouts. I never really got there. But I probably ended up with something closer to Pokemon cards? Bright and graphical and not terribly consistent, but I don't really think that's a hugely bad thing.

Can I just name artistic movements? I like a lot of impressionism+ expressionism and art nouveau, though idk how much it shines through in what I draw. And, uh, like, anime and manga, right? Specifically from the late 90s onward, but I'll assume that one's too obvious to be called subconscious.

I tried uploading my art into google lens to see what it thought my art looked like and got... A lot of online digital artists and a lot of another anime fanart. But that's not a surprise I think, I've been online my whole life ofc I'd draw inspiration from my peers, too. Could go into naming media and artists more but I think that's getting more into 'conscious' inspiration territory. I'm still not sure if I have any idea of what I DON'T know I've been inspired by lmao.
