Carl “C.J.” Snare (December 14, 1959 – April 5, 2024) was an American singer best known for being the frontman and founding member of the hard rock/glam metal band FireHouse.

FireHouse Singer CJ Snare Dies at 64
- “Today is a sad day for rock ‘n’ roll,” bandmates say
FireHouse co-founder and lead singer CJ Snare has died, his bandmates said.
Snare was 64 and died April 5. No cause was given, but the singer had been recovering from abdominal surgery.
“Today is a sad day for rock ‘n’ roll,” FireHouse said in a statement.
“It is with great sorrow we are letting the world know we have lost our brother: CJ Snare ... we are all in complete shock with CJ’s untimely passing.”
FireHouse released eight albums between 1990 and 2011 and scored such hits as “Reach for the Sky,” “Love of a Lifetime” and “When I Look into Your Eyes.”
“I am completely heartbroken and at a complete loss for words,” said former FireHouse and current Stryper bassist Perry Richardson.
“I started my musical journey with you. If it wasn't for you, I don’t know if I would be where I am today. So grateful for our longtime friendship.”
